Ok so I don't know how I ever missed this but have recently found it. I would love to be able to go & draw pics. What I'm wondering though is this a paid attraction? If it is how much does it usually cost?

TIA :)

It's free. The artist moves fast, and there's no eraser. If you are travelling with a child or a perfectionist, just prep them on that :) bring a paper towel tube in your bag and slip it in after if you want to be more careful with your pic!

Take a pic of your drawing like every minute then you can scroll thru later and see your artwork take shape.

I did this in October and it was great! I can't wait to do it again in May! yes, it is free, the artist does go pretty fast, there is no eraser and the paper towel roll is a great idea!!!

It's in Animation Courtyard, beyond the Little Mermaid (to the right after you pass Sunset Boulevard). Don't feel bad, OP, we've been 10 times and never done this. I am planning to in May though!

In all our trips, I never managed to do this until last time. It was so much fun I did it twice!

I had not heard of it either and my aunt was telling me about doing it when they went in Dec so when I was there a couple of weeks ago I did it twice. First time we drew Dopey and later in the eve I was trying to figure out something else to do so I decided to go back and we drew Pooh - that one turned out better. :)

Good to know I can go twice in one day and do different characters! I would love to draw Pooh.

Thanks for the responses everyone. It sounds like I have 1 more thing to add to my favs at my favorite park. Can't wait till Sept!! :)

We have been to DW so many times but last year was the first year we tried it. It was great!! We did goofy. Totally worth your time to try it.

I did it twice in one day in December. I enjoyed not knowing which character at the outset and watching to see who "appeared".

Yes, it's fun! I did it twice on this year's trip. So far, I've drawn Dale (2012), Mickey (face forward, 2013), Mickey (face forward, came out better this time, 2014), and Grumpy (2014). It can vary by how good your instructor is, but it's always fun to try.

I don't know how anyone has time to take photos while they're drawing, though!

This is a huge hit with my family. We drew Olaf the other day and it was so much fun. My 10 year old was looking at her drawing at the resort and a guy came up to her and said with amazement, "you drew that!" She was so proud.

I've never heard of this but I think my kids would love it. Is it only offered at certain times of the day?

Interesting that many of you have said you did it twice on your trip, not the same as doing a ride over and over, lol. Must be fun! I've thought about doing this before, but usually run out of time. And, my DD23 wasn't really interested. But, we are planning on doing it on our upcoming trip in Dec! Gotta remember to bring paper towel tubes!

I really would like to do Olaf and Dopey! And, Mickey and Dale/Chip would be cool, too. Is there any way before you get in and committed to that character to know which character you will be getting to draw? And, do you usually have to wait in a long line to get in? I'm a little worried about the no eraser and fast pace, though, lol.

Oh, and is it all in regular pencil, or any colors?

TIA! :)
