I seem to have a general idea of a plan for each of the other parks but need some help with this one. We will be there with level 7 crowds per easywdw. We will be with DS6 and DS15months. We are not planning to return to the hotel to nap the baby so he will nap in the stroller. I plan to schedule a few attractions between 1:30-3 in the afternoon that the baby can't do and we would be using rider swap for with older DS or things that we can still do with the baby in the stroller. It really seems like there are not many attractions for a one year old at animal kingdom? Other than the safari, the various trails and animals and maybe the railroad ride, and triceratops spin, the shows, seems like most of the other stuff he cant do. My logic says to do the crowd generating attractions (everest, kali, dinosaur, safari) first thing in the morning, but that leaves me with the trails and shows for the afternoon when the baby would be asleep so he won't get to do them. I am also trying to avoid criss crossing the park a zillion times to get to everything. Could anyone suggest a plan for us that would allow us to hit the attractions that generate lines in a reasonable manner while still allowing us to do some of the more "toddler friendly" attractions in the morning when he will be most energetic and participatory? We plan to use FP+. Do we start with everst, disnoaur, dinoland and then work our way around, knowing the baby won't have much to do the first 1-2 hours? or run all over the park hitting things he can do (lion king, safari, animal trails) first thing and FP+ the dinoland area for when he is napping? the park with the fewest attractions seems to be stumping me the most!!! We plan to hit all of the attractions including the railroad ride and affection station, flights of wonder and lion king. Skipping nemo though as DS6 doesnt want to do it (although i'm guessing the baby would enjoy it?). Thanks.

I would suggest using FP+ for Kali, Everest and Dinosaur in the afternoon when the little one naps. Kali and Everest are very close together. Then use FP- if you need for for the Safari (we like to go as soon as we get there and the end of the day... It's our favourite attraction).

DD1 loved Nemo and Lion King! If you can fit it in, it is very well done... Just a tip, A Bug's Life can be very scary!! There are bugs (of course!), loud noises and other potentially scary effects.

I forgot to add... When we do our "planning" at AK, I look at the show times, Lion King and Nemo, and work around that. We also never went back to our room for naps. However, with all the stimulation, our DD1 did not always nap on schedule. Sometimes she would nap earlier, sometimes later, and sometimes not at all. A great place for naps were the trails. The rest of the family would enjoy the animals and the beautiful scenery while the little one would be pushed around in the stroller and sleep.

You can take the little one to run around at the boneyard play area in Dinoland when the bigger one does dinosaur, if you end up there during a non nap time.

Is the area appropriate for a toddler and do you need to be a bit older to use the facility? Is there an area for toddlers? This would help solve my problem :yay:.

Yes, Boneyard is fine (esp with adult supervision).

I think your plan is fine. EasyWDW has a nice step-by-step for AK as well.

Your toddler would love the boneyard.. Also the Tricerotop Twirl is a great ride for little toddlers and is near Dinosaur. There is a lot going on at Dinoland!

If your DS6 is afraid of the dark or loud noises, Dinosaur might be a bit much for him.

That ride scares me :p. the ability to use FP+ makes touring plans not as useful. Simply use your FP+ for busy rides and you can go land by land enjoying the attractions! If you are going at a less busy time, Dinosaur rarely requires a FP.
