I'd love dining recommendations for our AK day. I have one picky kid (he'd prefer nuggets for all 3 meals every day but will eat most things, pizza, hamburgers, etc if that's all there is) and two decently adventurous eaters. Last time we enjoyed the cinnamon rolls from Kusafiri, had lunch at Yak & Yeti and dinner at Restaurantasaurus. We loved Yak & Yeti, Restaurantasaurus was decent, but not amazing. Not really looking for a sit down meal, but would consider Rainforest (we miss our Disneyland one!) and would do Yak & Yeti again. Tiffin and Tusker house aren't our style.

1) Does Yak & Yeti still do walk ups with a Landry's card? Does Rainforest use the Landry's card too?
2) What are the best QS spots?
3) What are the best desserts/snacks in the park? We love snacks. Early and often. popcorn::

Thanks!

We like Pizzafari for CS and for TS enjoy Rainforest Cafe. There is a stand in Africa right before the restrooms that has Dole WhIps with some different flavors.

The best QS are Flame Tree and Satuli Canteen, by far, IMO. Two of the best on WDW property when considering parks QS.

I usually get liquid desserts in AK so maybe someone else can suggest something. :cool1:
Sattuli Canteen is wonderful for a QS meal, our favorite, but the OP mentioned they have a nuggets/pizza/burgers child.

We also are a fan of picking up something from the outdoor window at Yak & Yeti and eating this outside, if the weather is nice. I think they have a kid’s chicken nuggets plate.

I didn't check the menu online first but I just figured they still had the hot dog roll or the cheeseburger buns. Those might be a reach, though!

Restaurantosaurus, Pizzafari, and Rainforest Cafe. The unholy trinity of theme park dining. 😉

We don't usually do a full meal there, but the egg rolls are extremely good, and at $7 make it almost embarrassing what they charge you $10 for in Adventureland.

Here's what disneyworld.com has listed for the Yak & Yeti QS restaurant:

For snacks, Dino-bite has great ice cream sandwiches between wonderful house made cookies. They are huge and shareable. I had the 50th anniversary one in October and will be getting it again in a few days, someone else had the chocolate chip cookie one and said it was so good too!

Thanks for all the advice!

Satu'li is definitely intriguing - I've heard nothing but rave reviews. I might have to get the the picky kid something beforehand and try Satu'li for myself!

We love Satu'li Canteen but my picky kid doesn't like it so we've picked up food for him on our way there and he eats that (pizza or nuggets) while the rest of us eat Satu'li! We always mobile order and split up - one of us grabs the kids food and the other goes straight to the restaurant to grab the adult food, we all meet up and eat together at the adult restaurant. We almost always sit outside so we've never run into any issues about bringing food in from another restaurant.

I have a picky eater (ASD) and he is fine with sitting with us while we eat, maybe munching on bread or fries, but then just grabbing something else to go later. I am not sure how old your kids are, but that might be an option.

I have recently used my Landry's card for walk up at Yak & Yeti- so that's a yes. You can also call the restaurant directly and make any reservation you want over the phone with your Select #.

Not sure about Rainforest Cafe though. But Y&Y's food is so much better.

T-Rex at Disney Springs is also Landry's. I've only been to the bar for drinks though.

For QS, Satu'Li and Flametree are our favorites.
For TS, Tiffins and Yak and Yeti.
In both cases, the choices are at opposite ends and enjoyed for different reasons.

QS Satu li; hot churros - Nomad lounge;
Best sit down on property: Boma; short bus ride (5 mins+) away.

The buffet had multiple sanitation stations (beg, end, middle) and CMs walking around. Its a big open area (Airflow). The flavors were varied and great. They have 4-5 flavors of soup! They have a kids station with chicken nuggets, Mac cheese etc. We also enjoy looking at animals before sunset. When we stayed at AKL we would book a 5 pm dinner and then head to the park. Our sons dairy/egg allergies were handled extremely well and he even had a flamingo cake (brownie). Look at recent YouTube reviews for any restaurant you are considering.

Boma is amazing we have a breakfast and dinner there every trip and most of the time are staying at a different resort. We were just there around Thanksgiving and was just as wonderful as it always has been.

Recently ate at Yak n Yeti QS and Flametree. Would not recommend either. The Yak n Yeti Kobe burger was like a bad backyard burger on the grille. The ribs at Flametree were fatty and the toughest ribs I’ve ever eaten. The only restaurant I can recommend there is Tiffins. I’d rather head over to AKV for Boma.

Sorry to hear about the bad meals. We rarely eat at Flametree as we enjoy Satu'Li so much more, but enjoyed the last time we dined there last year. Our ribs were far different than yours.
At WDW, we just avoid the burgers. Never had a good one. Their chicken tikika masala, korean beef, miso salmon and honey chicken were all good. We also enjoyed the appetizer sampler, but I don't see that in the current menu.
