Maryland, who was predicted to win by 12, lost 20 - 7. It was an AWFUL game. The band was great but our seats were behind them so we couldn't hear the stand music very well.

Sarah came home with us to celebrate Andrew's birthday. Jack will drive her back tomorrow.

We had a fun night last night......We went to the Waterfront and ate at one of the restaurants there with my friend Robin and her husband. Then we went to the piano bar next door which was a lot of fun.


Up early this morning because we want to get to the Steeler game early for a parking spot and tailgating.

There was a big box beside my door yesterday from my "imaginary friend" Carol and it was full of great stuff.
Funny story first. Just before I opened the box my kids had commented that we need to get candy corn. Guess what I pulled out first - a bag of candy corn! But that's not all. I also got
A lovely leaf- shaped for the candy

A pretty green votive holder and some fall-scented Yankee candles for it. We burned Apple Cider last night.

Lollypops from their local orchard that are made especially for Fall. Two are Hot Chocolate flavor and two are Carmel Apple. Yum!!!!

A Pooh fan, because I love Pooh

A beautiful coffee mug in autumn colors that I'll be using this morning.
A crockpot cookbook with all kinds of recipes. I'll gladly share them as we try them.

Finally, a very special Angel ornament because Carol made it herself! It's sitting next to angels I've gotten from Lorraine and Lars so it's in good company.

Thank you so much Carol for a wonderful package.

Carol, I am not sure of the other games, but I heard that yesterday was the biggest potential for upsets in college football. Something like 20-25 teams were listed.

Good Morning Everyone

Surprisingly enough Dylan's eye hasn't bruised too badly....yet. He seems to be feeling pretty good considering the circumstances. He had some ibuprofen first thing this morning to help with the pain.
I'm really concerned about his vision though......things are still really blurry when he usues that eye only

I have to take Matthew to get his stitches removed today. He'll be glad to get them out....they're beginning to itch him.

DH went trail biking with BIL this morning & then we might take Dylan to see Shark Tale since he had to miss out on the hike.

Then back home to get dinner in the oven....ham & hashbrown/cheese potatoes today...YUM!!

Gail, so glad the package arrived quickly. I hope everything was unbroken. I had fun chosing things for my imaginary friend. It was hard not so stand out on I95 to hand it to you as you drove by.

Not sure what we are doing today. It will be Andrew's call. Weather is beautiful again though.

Spent the day doing some things around the house. Actually went to Ann Taylor and got a couple nice shirts for work that were on clearance... they have nice stuff there, but not what I like to pay full price for

Lars, glad that Dylan is doing okay. I hope all will be good after he gets his eye checked out as well.

For all you Steeler's fans... congrats... honestly not a weekend for my team, but glad that Donna was able to see them win in person. Not much fun when you watch in person and you lose

Lorraine, I haven't been to river front at night in like 9.5 years... it is beautiful down there at night through from what I remember. Haven't been to see the new stadium yet though. I ought to drag Luis down there sometime just to go away

Home from work....you would have thought it was almost Christmas, we were hopping all day. We had 2 CM's on registers and we were never without a person or 2 waiting. I was thrilled when 4:00 rolled around and I got to clock out.

I did manage to do some Christmas and exchange shopping before I left.

I was pleasantly surprised ot come home and find Lou and Sam had cleaned Sam's room and made chili for dinner.

Tomorrow I am going to Target and buying all the gift cards I need for Christmas gifts. I am determined to get most of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving....at least all the gifts not for Sam or Lou.

Off to eat dinner....back later
