Not much on our schedule today......I have to take my friend's DS to his trumpet lesson cause her DH is out of town & her DD has a swim meet at the same time.

Then we'll just hang out here at home most of the day.......some family down time will be nice.

I got my new Mickey Mouse watch from Disney Deals today. It's very nice. The original price tag was still attached since it comes right from their warehouse - $45, and I got it for $15!

I also ordered what I thought was a lot of 6 containers of Mickey Mouse nailpolish. Turns out I read it wrong - it was only for one. Guess I didn't get as good of a deal as I thought. It's still cute, and will make a nice stocking stuffer for Leah.

My mom had a 1960 Ford Galaxy and I remember it well. It was black with red seats. Guess she never thought of cutting it in half and making it into a truck. That would have been a big hit with my Brownie troop!!!

Do not know what plans I have yet for Thanksgiving (ours is this weekend)
Most likely I will drag the suitcase out of the closet and start to pack with odds and ends while I think of them.

Need to run some errands and clean my living room today. I've come up with a plan to thoroughly clean one room each weekend (polish furniture and paneling etc). May also take a short drive to see how the foliage is looking so far around here....still lots of green but have seen yellows, oranges and reds too......and if I don't get to my thorough cleaning of the LR, well it will still be there when I'm ready but the leaves are going to fall

Okay.... on a new monitor and about to try out a new DVD burner... nothing ever is easy around here. I've been trying to burn a few CDs for a friend and I was about ready to give up. Well I loaded some different software onto my desktop and long story short, but the CD burner broke. So as I went to get a new one, I decided it was time to get me a new monitor... so I replaced my old 15" with a 19" CRT flat screen monitor

Lars, no worries here, I won't get on Donna when her team beats mine. At least mine beat Luis' last week

Better test out this new burner (which btw, I did happen to install all by my little lonesome )

sister came for 5 hours (which was lovely), just as they left my mum and dad arrived, they stayed for 4 hours and just as they left stuart came home!

had hoped to have come computer time but looks like thats out

Hey everyone..miss me today?? Been a busy day running kids around.

AJ is sleeping at a friend's house, and Patrick has a friend over here.....cute little story...since the dishwasher is broken, they are doing the dishes out in the kitchen. The funny part of this story is the two of them are singing "Angry American" and "Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy".......with NO musical accompanyment.

Well...................since it's Saturday that must mean it's ER visit day for my family.......................today's patient was Dylan He got smacked in they eye with a metal baseball bat-we think that he lost consicousness for a few seconds too The doctor said no concussion & that there doesn't appear to be any physical damage to his eye itself but his vision wasn't what it should have been in that eye so he has to see an Opthamologist on Monday. Until then he must be kept still & not do anything to put any pressure on his eye......Doctor said no 5 mile Boy Scout hike tomorrow (Dylan is pretty bummed about that)..........any ideas on how to keep an active 8 y/o still??//

Actually, for the past 2 years someone in our family has had a broken wrist. We're really hoping to break that pattern this year. We also don't want to replace it with something worse.

Thanks for the well wishes for our Dad. I hope it doesn't come to the amputation (i will keep you in mind Carol if I have questions).
We had a great time at the wedding. The reception was at the hotel where we were staying - The Embassy Suites - which was in Kentucky right across the river from the pro Cincinnati stadiums. It was a great sight! The brides family and relatives are Southern Baptists so it was a fight for Joe's friend to have alcohol at the reception. It was funny to see all the empty tables after awhile, and all the Pittsburgh people were still there drinking away! We stayed until it ended and then we all went to the bar at the hotel. It was a blast, but I didn't head up to the room until 2 a.m.!! I am soooo very tired. I slept in the car for most of the way home.

Well, Lou took me to dinner at our favorite $teak place. After that we were supposed to meet some friends for a pub crawl, but we couldnt find them. Instead we headed to the bowling alley and met up with the couple we hung out with last Friday night. All in all a fun evening.

As far as TDS merchandise...we have no clue what is in store. There is some great new Christmas stuff on the floor already, with more promised. When I hear anything, Ill let you know.
