awww... well I have to agree... it is a blessing, well for me having it in my life as much as I have has been one at least.

Back from dinner... we wound up at Applebee's instead and their brownie sundae has nuts in/on it So we came home and had our dessert here

So we have Donna and Lars now (no cheating accusations here, Donna ) so you think if I drive fast enough we can make it in time?

I don't like Applebee's desserts either E. Friday's has the best selection and best tasting. Oreo cookie w/ ice cream in the middle covered w/ hot chocolate and caramel. Yum!!

We were invited to one of Joe's cousins tonight, but I've been fighting a cold all week so I wasn't going. Shannon gave me a big hug and said "I'm going to miss you!". Well, I could see her looking sad in the van, so I went over and she was crying and saying that she wanted to stay w/ me. I was looking forward to a night by myself, but that made it all worthwhile.

Just a quick check-in for now because #1 son is now sick!!!!!
Matt's had stomach pain since last night. Took him to the doc today and symptoms are inconclusive but could be strep or a UTI or possibly his appendix. Waiting for lab results for the first 2 possibles and since it's the weekend I'm not sure when that will be! No fever to that point but he has one tonight.

We were supposed to head to CT tomorrow to stay with my friend from college. On Sunday Lew was going to the Buick Classic a/k/a Greater Hartford Open golf tournament with her husband while we took the kids (she also has 2) to Lake Compounce amusement park.

That Oreo Sundae is great!!! I love that and the brownie sundae as well there. The only one at Applebees that I liked the look of was the Dulce de Leche cheesecake... I am not a fan of all cheesecake, but this looked okay. Maybe I'll get it to go sometime

Just talked with both Hannah and Marc... Hannah's mom is home now and doing very well! So I will go over some time tomorrow to visit them. Marc told me that he will be home next week... so I have a hot date with him on Friday night Actually sounds like he could use a good at home movie night with some old friends... I think he actually misses Ohio

Luis is watching NFL football already... amazing how quickly football season seemed to come

I still need answers from MP, Star, Val & Leanne. Why you may ask? Because any of the four of them can actually tie the 1 person who is in the lead. I know MP just got back, I see Brian online so maybe he'll tell Leanne, Val comes and goes like the fog and it is still way too early for Star to be online so I will set tomorrow morning at 8AM as the cut off.

Still have the stupid headache I had last night Woke up with it this morning, called Lou and asked him to call me at 10. I took a vicodin and went back to bed before going to school. I was fine for most of the day, but anytime I go out in this awful humidity it comes roaring back. Hopefully it will start to cool off tomorrow and the humidity will let up a bit.

Sam has had 3 wonderful days of school...he hops off the bus with a huge smile on his face every day. I think he is starting to see himself as a 'big kid'. He loves that his class goes to different rooms (art, music, gym) for classes. He feels so important.
I put a note in his lunch bag yesterday and he came running hime and gave me a big hug and thanked me for the note

Disney called earlier and siad I dont need to come in tomorrow, so I get to sleep in. The scrapbook store told me to come in 'whenever 12, 1 whatever works' So I plan to sleep a bit and go out for a late breakfast before heading to work.

Hi All~

Dinner at the Outback with DH & Dylan.............then Dylan talked us into giong to the 9:20 showing of Princess Diaraies 2.........it was very cute.

We ate at Outback, too! Got in just at dinnertime, so DH took us out.

My guesses are in. I guess my brain is failing me tonight or these were MUCH harder. Maybe I'm just really tired.

The funeral was wonderful, if a funeral can be. The music was uplifting and the homily was beautiful. Mom and my brother and I held up really well. It was hard, but a blessing for my uncle.

I was glad we could be there for the family. One little cousin in particular thanked me for being part of his support system. Poor little guy sobbed in my arms when they buried his grandpa. It broke my heart. He's in middle school and he took it really hard.

Today we went shopping briefly for KC Royals and KC Chiefs shirts. The kids wanted to come home with something to wear. I also hit a wonderful scrapbook store. It was a real whirlwind trip!

More tomorrow. I'm too tired to type tonight.
