I'm blaming this all on my MIL. She insisted on giving us a wastebasket for the kids' playroom. Therefore, they are too lazy to throw away their candy wrappers, Klondike bar wrappers, and gum away in the regular kitchen garbage. They keep it all in the playroom where the dog can get into the garbage. I thought she was being too quiet this morning, so I went down the hall and found torn up candy wrappers and gum on the new carpeting! Grrrrrrrrrrr.......

I'll be leaving in an hour to pick up chairs at church; it seems I'm doing a lot of that this Summer.

Yep..another social at the AlabamaAlan back yard. Mrs. AA and I are the church reps for FamilyLife's Rekindling the Romance conference coming in October.

Rekindling the Romance

We had attended a Weekend to Remember 2 day conference several years ago.

Our church is very good about providing half price registrations so for those who sign up early. Since these folks did sign up early we are having an ice cream social tonight. Some folks are going to bring ice cream, some brownies, etc.

Would y'all like to come?

Joe's cousins son that I told you was in an accident last week is going to be released from the hospital in the next day or 2 to go to The Childrens Place where he will hopefully learn how to handle being in a wheelchair and everything else he will have to overcome. He has been having a really tough time, even telling his Dad that he wants to just die. I talked to the person at the Pirates in charge of PR and explained his situation. So today, Tike Redman, our starting center fielder, visited Michael at the hospital. I haven't talked to the mom yet to see how things went, but I hope it lifted his spirits at least for one day.

Luis just got home and seems worn out... I've been spending a while plalying "piano" Amazing what I haven't forgotten as a kid. As soon as Luis cools down (hot outside) I think I'll drag him to a good place for dinner

Oh and don't play piano much (don't have a real one here, only at my Dad's) but I play on a keyboard now and then. First instrument I learned actually... about 10 more since. I have a thing for music I guess
