weird morning for me... a good friend of the family died on Sat (I found out yesterday) so I had the "job" of passing it on to my family.

and now I am getting the house somewhat ready for family to come over for Luis' birthday tonight

Andrew's drivers ed was supposed to start today but we got a phone call Friday postponing it 2 weeks. Apparently they are having trouble getting enough teachers. I paid for this over a month ago too.

Andrew had his school picture taken Friday. That is the last one ever. Next year it will be senior pictures instead of the less expensive school ones.

Time just keeps marching on.

I agree with you on those rapid strept tests Steph, we've gotten false negatives on them a lot too.

No school pictures for us until November. I'm not sure if they still take them in Jr. High.

At David's school they take school pictures at enrollment, when they take ID photos. At Amy's school they take a fall photo and a spring photo, but the fall one is the one that goes in the yearbook.

I don't like the quick strep tests either. Not very accurate.

I say go for the sundae, Gail. And have her fix one for me while she's at it.

I was so tired yesterday from cleaning for the party on Saturday that I just stayed on the couch most of the day and watched football games. Feeling better today and took Shannon in the pool this afternoon. I was 29 when I had Brendan and 32 when I had Shannon.

The kiddo here had a remarkable recovery...and apparently Dylan did too...as they were both driving their moms crazy when lars and I were chatting earlier.

Well, I only lasted a couple hours at picture day. They took pity on me and chased me out of the gym, LOL. I spent most of the day reading in my comfy chair.
I think the fever is gone for good, but the stuffy nose and cough are probably gonna hang on for a while. grrrrr.
Oh well, back to my book until the LAX premiere.

First of all, Luis says thanks for the birthday wishes. I agree, Lou... good time of year for birthdays. Not as good as the 2nd month of the year though

And thanks all... it's strange our paths with Orfeo would have crossed in more ways than one... makes it a small world when one family has so many ties. He and my grandmother went to Church together and found out later we all knew each other. Kevin and I went to school together off and on since 2nd grade for me. He's one of the only 2 that I speak to from gradeschool. Amazing that you can remain friends with someone for 19 years of your life. Anywho... I am rambling. I missed both viewings today, and I won't make the funeral, but I will be going over to Kevin's mom's house after work for a "reception" of sorts.

Anywho... I'm rambling today I think... my brother just called and I am sure as soon as Luis finishes I'll chat with my brother. Of course they are harassing me over the phone... amazing how they can pick on me even when I can't hear the other
