Feeling a bit better today. At one point yesterday I spiked a fever of about 102, but that broke some time during the night. I just keep taking advil, zinc, vitamin C, and cold meds.
Hopefully I will be able to stay functional today...I am on my way to help at picture day at school. If I dont feel better, I will leave after the younger kids are done. There are other helpers, so I wouldnt be leaving them stranded.

Good morning folks!

Saturday morning I helped unload a semi truck full of building materials for "Judgment House"; I am feeling it today.

Yes, that is correct...I attend a church that offers the normal Halloween alternative by constucting large sets in vacant buildings to house a story of teens who are killed in some type accident, one going to Heaven and one to Hell and providing counseling rooms, etc.

Creepy or hokey? Sure, true on both counts. However, it has proven to be effective in the past and there has been a 3 year break in what had been an annual event for as long as I have been here, at least (1990)

Although I did not volunteer for either position, I have found myself on both the drama committe and as one of the actors portraying Jesus in Heaven. Let's just say that my calendar is full from now until the end of October.

My Sunday School class went okay...there was a miscommunication between me and the SS director and I received the wrong literature. So for the next three months we will be studying the book of Luke.

We took Lela to a birthday party at a bowling alley Sunday afternoon and it was a lot of fun; then church again last night. We started all new classes and are having a hard time choosing the one we want to attend. The one we went into last night is going to have more homework than we can allot time for.

Bethany, hope you keep feeling better. Amy has pictures on Thursday. That reminds me that we need to have the yearly discussion about what she will wear for the photos. It's all about compromising.

Sounds like AJ and Dylan need a pick-me-up. Tell them I said to feel better and get lots of rest. Hope it's not strep! Amy had a scratchy throat this morning, but I'm guessing it's allergies. She has lots of drainage in the fall.

Well, it took me a while to get back. Once again the traffic engineers in Boston have created a detour for north 93. You exit the airport going south, then go around and around 3 times before finally getting on the correct bridge. It took over 2 hours to get there and and hour and 15 minutes to get back. And on the way Pete realizes that his cell phone is turned off, so I dig through his briefcase for it and guess what, he left it here in his pull behind computer bag. So he has my Mickey phone, and he is not happy about it. He had to have a phine, but he doesn't want anyone see him using one that had the mouse on it! So sad.


OK off to see if I can get the 3rd riddle.

Actually the third riddle is the only one I got correct on the first try

Well, good news is.....office strep test was negative. Waiting on the one from the lab....I'm not really convinced that those quick strep test are really good.....we seem to get a lot of false negatives.

Sooooo...being the mean mommy that I am, I dropped AJ off at school. Told him if he felt worse to go to the nurse. Otherwise, I'd see him after school for his den meeting. Tonight is model rocket building!

Bad news is now I have to plan a den meeting Sigh~ oh well.....
