Morning all! Checking in quickly again so I can try to finish this stupid stuff up. At the rate I am going I might actually have to drag my rear in here on the day I get back from LA (wouldn't be pretty as I am taking the red eye home Thurs night/Friday morn)

So hi all :wave2:

And Star, you know how to make a girl blush ;)

Morning Everyone!

Donna - thanks for posting the picture! You make a nice moose!

Bethany - i hardly buy any clothes for myself. i don't like a lot of the styles, or if i find something, they are out of my size.

We had a great time at Kennywood yesterday. The sun was out for most of the day. The only storm came when it was dinner time, so we, along w/ the rest of the park, found the indoor dining area. By the time we were done, the sun was back out! Brendan rode a lot of rides w/ his friend from school. Shannon and I spent most of the time riding together - it was nice to spend alone time w/ her. Don't tell Joe, but I took her on the Jackrabbit - her first rollercoaster! At the end of the ride, she wanted to go again. We got to the park at 11 a.m., and didn't leave until 9 p.m. I'm going to be pretty tired at work today.

DH started telling me to "Sit on your hands" everytime I went to a PTA meeting.........I would always feel bad & volunteer for everything they were having problems getting volunteers for...........I've been working on saying "No"...................it's actually not easy to say "No" when it's things at the kids school. You are a good Mommy to get involved

Thanks. I dont mind the helping out part...in addition to the 3 committes I am co-chairing I am helping out with tons of other ones. I just dont like being the one that gets the blame when something goes wrong.
I look at it this way....not many moms stay home, since I do I figure the least I can do is help at the school.

Have a good day all :wave2:

Good morning y'all.

First of all Donna, I've got to tell you....you've got a great rack! :p

Gail, if I had pulled up that pic I wouldn't have had to drive to Atlanta.

My agent told me the audition was 10-12, which means that since I am in Central time it would be 9-11 for me. He neglected to tell me if it was walk in at any time during that window or if we all needed to be there at 10.

So, knowing I am supposed to be in place 15 minutes before call time, I left home at 5:30 AM to drive to Atlanta.

I made good time and started worrying about how early I was going to be until I hit downtown. That slowed me down enough to make me grateful for leaving early.

Once the traffic cleared I started making good time and saw exit 89 so I knew I was close. Then I saw exit 91.

Say, wasn't I supposed to take exit 86????

The exit and turn to I-85 South was easy enough, but I wound up driving through several city blocks to get back on course.

By the time I arrived I was 30 minutes early. I looked at the sheet from my agent and it said DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE YOUR CALL TIME, so I drove to a local business and waited in the parking lot for 20 minutes.

I drove back to the casting agency and went in 5 minutes early. I saw where two others had been in and we already gone. A young lady came out, took one look at me and said, "Is that real?"

Is that a compliment? If not, should I ask for a refund? Is everything in place?????

I thought she was referring to the lab coat I was wearing....she meant the beard. :p

I gave her a comp card which I look nothing like, and a copy of my headshot. I did not realize the night before that I had no photo paper in the house! (It's at my office) I had to use regular paper which looks very unprofessional, but at least they had the comp card.

I went into the room where she took a close up photo, then a full body shot and then I was free to go.

Yup...maybe 5 minutes total.

And then I drove 3 hours home.

How was y'all's day? :p

Darn! I forgot to log out of my other identity! :o
:rotfl:

Oh dear, do you need a copy of "Psuedonames 101"? It's quite helpful when it comes to getting ideas on how to keep your multiple personalities in order.
(big hint, use IE for one Netscape for a 2nd and if you have more than that, don't keep yourself logged in automatically with the "psuedonames" :p Not that I would know this :o)

Lorraine, I am so glad you had fun yesterday! Very glad that the storm didn't interfere with your park time :)

:wave2: Hi Alan... I'd take it as a compliment if I were you :)

Back to work... maybe... anyone want to send out a nasty gram for me?

As y'all know, I have been assisting in interviews this month for an entry level position.

I asked my co-worker today if we had one scheduled for this morning and he said, "Yes, yours"

I knew they had pulled the register to attempt to promote me but did not realize it was this week!

Okay..don't panic...what am I wearing??

Black pants and shoes..good, good.
A white dress shirt...ah, always safe..very conservative and business-like.

My Beatles Yellow Submarine tie.....

Oh well, at least the interview is for here and not another agency. It's not like they don't know me anyway....

Because of the structured way we have to do interviews they are only allowed to ask certain questions. Unfortunately, those questions may or may not pertain to my specific dutites here.

Wish me luck........

Edited to add: Just got word that my interview is in 10 minutes :earseek:

Go get 'em, Alan!

We all live in a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine, a yellow submarine...

Just heard from Sue who is camping...(we go up on Thursday to join her!)....she said the weather is beautiful and kids are having fun..(she has 5 of them with her in a camper!) The kids and I, on the other hand, have a very primitive lake front cabin just a short walk from the bathhouse. LK and Leah are joining us for Thursday and Friday night.

She said the boys caught a large bass and expected her to cook it.....she told them: just throw that thing back where you got it! LOL!

I am starting to pack now for this trip.......

someone PLEASE remind me why I said I would go camping?

I really hate it......really really do! I am more a luxorious resort kind of girl! My kids better remember this and come visit me in the nursing home when they put me away!::yes:: :teeth:

I know what you mean......I used to like camping but about 4 or 5 years ago I came to a realization........My idea of roughing it is slow room serviceprincess:

Good luck Donna!! My idea of "camping" is a bit worse than Lars... Days Inn=camping to me ;)

Honestly not that bad really... but sleeping in bags on a floor does not work well with me and my back (see I knew I could come up with a legit excuse :p)

Oh and Lars... you're a meanie :o
