hi delswife :wave2:

Star ~ Regifting flowers is tacky even when they are a nice dozen roses.

a) i didn't "regive them" I shared them

b) it was two dozen :p

c) I guess i'm not as bashful as I thought! hee hee

glad to hear Steve's gonna be ok !!

wants to see the picture of the eyeball!

Sandi glad u had good weather!

Mp so far i'm good, all of the tornado's have been to the north of Tulsa, lets hope it stays that way!! Was there any damage out by Sooner lake or just a touch down??

We went skating today and to our surprise it was the last time. Turns out they sold it and will close it for good Friday. I'm sad kinda like when the drive-in movie closed, end of an era.

Good Morning!
I couldn't sleep so thought I'd check in here and catch up reading.

Lou

Your re-cap is my favorite part of this thread! ::yes::

Gail, thank Lew for the great weather report!:sunny: :sunny:
I'm very happy with that!

E, I took a ton of outdoor photos at the luncheon. I need to drop the film off today.

LK, SB, I'm so glad to hear your brother's injuries aren't more serious. Scary stuff!

Welcome delswife!:wave2:

Today is my nail appointment and pedicure appointment and I'm getting my hair trimmed. Before I head home I will stop and pick up the tuxes for my household, which is DH's, and BB's 2 brothers, Ian and Adam who are ushers.
I can't believe it's almost here!!

Good Morning Angels and Cherubs! :sunny:

We have one picnic for Dan's work(YUK) and one fun picnic.

Hey! Dont the Cubs play the Pirates here this weekend?.....Oh Brian.....:teeth: :wave2:

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning.

Sandi, an exciting time for sure. I am not sleeping much these days either. We should IM.

Donna, plans here this weekend include driving Andrew to a HOBY Leadership Seminar tomorrow (2 hours away), cleaning clean and getting ready for family to come, picking up Andrew and my mom on Sunday, a small family birthday party for Sarah, and then the big graduation party on Monday. Tuesday, back to work.

Wow Carol.........sounds busy but fun! (psstt....dont clean too much before the party.....it will just get dirty again.......LOL.........just trying to cut down your list for you!;) )

Morning!!!!

More training at work today, and part will deal with a co-worker who is not, shall we say, my best friend. Keep your fingers crossed.

Welcome Delswife!!!!

No specific plans for Memorial Day yet but also no major commitments either! :teeth:

 everyone!

Morning All :)

 Lou  ;)

Sandi - I simply cannot believe how quickly time has flown since you told us your daughter was getting married and now its nearly here, how fantastic! I know you'll all have an amazing time :)

Lars - Sorry to hear you are another Angel caught up with RL chaos LOL I know that feeling.

LK and SB - SO very glad that during my recap I first heard about your brother but also that he was OK. Thankful it all ended as best as it could.

Who mentioned an eyeball?!? I have no idea what you are on about and I'm getting freaked out.... ;) (dont' worry, I am assuming it is a school project?)

Lou and LK - What's this about five years from first date to marriage, isn't that pretty normal? I'm confused

:wave2: everyone else!

Did Cami or any of the other missing Angels say where they were going?

Cya,
Gaspode

Good morning!

Welcome, Robin!

Bethany - yay for 500 posts! :Pinkbounc And boy is :hyper: an appropriate smilie for kids on a sugar high, LOL!!

Gaspode - so nice to see you again! I hope the craziness of your life is out of the way soon so you can stop by a lot more often. Regarding Lou's comment about 5 years of dating....I guess he just thought there was some good gossip in there that it took us that long to get married. ;)

Cami is at WDW, but I can't remember how long she is staying. Maybe two weeks?

Leah's dress rehearsal part 2 is tonight, the recital is Saturday. This will probably be her last one. She made the dance team for the football games in the fall, so I think regular dance lessons are done.

Good Morning Everyone!

Thanks for all the good wished for Steve. The accident couldn't have been avoided, but wearing a helmet could. I found out our other brother who lives here doesn't wear one all the time either. Our wonderful govenor passed that bill last year.

Delswife - Welcome!

Sandi - glad to hear the luncheon went well. only 2 more days!!

Gaspode - nice to see you AGAIN!::yes::

Bethany - great job in reaching 500!

I did a lot of work around the house yesterday. Bought more plants and got them in the ground; weedwacked; cut the back grass; cleaned the bathroom, AND took care of DD. Funny how the DH can't do that. Gotta go and look for the riddle and get ready for work.

Hiya

I forgot a few things LOL

Delswife - Welcome to the thread :) Nice to see new faces (even if they can't be bothered to read up on our history *grumble* ;) j/k!!!)

Bethany - Congrats on 500 posts!!!!!!!

LK - Thanks for clearing that up, tbh, that's what I thought he meant, but I guess I figured it takes most ppl that long or longer anyways.... *shrugs*

Cya,
Gaspode

Jump right in!!! We talk about anything & everything & we laugh a lot:D
Welcome Welcome Welcome :thewave: :thewave:

Good Morning Everyone~(have I already said that today?)

Looks like the nice weather is FINALLY here in NH! Hopefully I'll get all those nagging outside chores done today so we have the entire weekend to just BE.

Baseball was interesting last night, we were told to go the wrong field. We were playing out of town, so when nobody showed up, we decided to have a practice. Fortunately, someone showed up to point us in the right direction. Unfortunatly we didn't get home until 9:30

Meggie and Me day was a huge success. Why don't we do that more often???

 to Robin...welcome Neighbor!

Catch you all later!

This AMs PS hold music is......

Go The Distance from Hercules (Don't ever play Disney music trivia with me...) ;)

Good morning everyone! A bit chatty here since I last stopped in. I was in a drug induced haze last night (allergies) and I missed my man sing on TV :( Oh well... didn't care about the rest of the show :p

:wave2: Welcome Robin :)

Bethany, congrats on your 500 posts!!!! :bounce:

Star, tell them to hush... *I* appreciated the shared roses :teeth:

Sandi, I can't wait to see all the pictures (when you have time to post of course!)

Donna, I hope your picnic with work isn't too bad. I have no definite plans as of yet... just spending time with my brother :)

Carol, sounds like a busy weekend for you!!! And a big yay for Sarah's graduation party!!!!

LK, I say we tell Lou to hush it... it was 5 years for Luis and I before we got married too... if we hadn't been in school though, I think it would ahve been more like 3.

Melissa, I really think most of my friends take only about 2.5-3 years to get married... a year or so of dating plus a year or so of planning. The ones that took longer were ones that started dating younger (HS or college). Maybe that's what Lou was thinking too... who knows.

Steph I am so glad you and Meg had a good day yesterday!

Lou, what PS are you trying for today??? And I admit I like the Ricky Martin version (No importa la distancia) better than whoever sang the movie version.

I know I've missed some, so I'll just say hi to you all :wave2:

E, this AM we got the Princess Storybook Breakfast at Norway (we did this last year and it was great) and dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern (love those colonial characters!)

As for the five years of dating, I wasn't thinking (there's a shock) of anything in particular. Just thought there was some story there. This is LK we're talking about. There's always a story there....;)

I think I might have to try that Princess breakfast out this December (if I can ever make my ressies :p) I have heard such great things about it.

A story there with LK... oh you are probably right!!! And probably 10x more exciting than mine is ;)

Hiya,

This is all very interesting. TBH I guess I dont' know that many ppl who have got married (certainly none of my friends/ppl my age anyways). so I have no frame of reference.

My cousin and her husband got married last year, after about 20 yrs of dating :earseek: !

Cya,
Gaspode

I looked at the Princesses Storybook Breakfast because Sarah, at almost 18, still loves the Disney princesses. I read somewhere that Ariel and someone else never appear. Ariel is her favorite so I didn't even try to get it. Lou, we will want pictures when you get back. (You will have every meal planned, won't you?)

DH and I met in May 1983, got engaged June 1984, and married October 1984. We were both 30 when we met and knew what we were looking for. We seem to have made a good decision.

Melissa, my friends/co workers seem to be of the "marrying age" I think. It is interesting to hear how people do it all though. My parents were together about 2-3 years as well when they got married.

Carol, sounds like you made a perfect decision too ::yes:: I know with me, I just had to wait for Luis to make up his mind... he wasn't as sure as quickly as I was (only a few months behind).

Anyone want to work for me? I feel like doing nothing today!
