Morning!!
Trying to finish up Nick's 4th grade work today so we can start 5th next week. Our bird friend came back this morning at 6am. I think it may be a woodpecker. He's been gone for about 2 hours now...maybe he figured out the chimney cover is not a tree finally!! Yesterday was bird day evidently. We also had a pair of ducks land on the neighbor's roof. I think their conversations went something like this...Quaaack,quaaaaaackkk,quack qauck quack, quaaackkkk. My translation, female duck to male duck.." This is not a lake!!! This is a rooftop and there is no lake here!! We are lost!! Why didn't you just stop for directions?!!"
Dating story (Envision goofy faces and funny voices through the story.)... Rick and I met our senior year of high school when we both started working at the new movie theater that was opening. He was a hood and he thought I was a snob. One night I was waiting for another coworker to get off work so I could take him home. (He's car broke down and he lived close by) Well Rick was the other closer that night. We were all jumping out at each other as we checked the theaters before leaving. (Yes, the theaters were VERY dark and we were checking them with flashlights.) Well I was trying to scare Brian and I accidently scared Rick. To make it up to him I went to see Poltergeist with him. From there we started dating. This was 1986. We became engaged in 1989.Date set for Oct 1990. Broke up in Feb of 1990 (I think I gave him directions on to where he could go) Didn't see each other until July of 1990. Got back together and moved in together Aug 1990(Always tell him it was because he now had a kitten and I was concerned for it's wellbeing
) Decided to get married again. (This was at the end of Oct) And managed to pull of a wedding on Nov 17, 1990. (Yes we had 6 weeks to get it ALL together. We had nothing..no dress,tuxes, wedding party,food,rental place,pastor)
Next year for our 15th anniversary we plan on renewing our vows in Gatlinburg,Tn where we took a very short honeymoon. (Arrived on a Friday, left on a Sunday) Our next trip will be a week!!
Ok I better get to work here. Nick needs his next test and Rick is home sick. (Actually he is acting like a spoiled 4yr old!!)
