(well, other than the 20 times I called and listened to your voice mail after you left work.........I wanted to hear that sexy NY accent again and again........;)

pssst.....it's Jersey............. ;) :p

It is really raining here today so Nick's game was cancelled. I could have gone to the Meet if I knew he wasn't having a game!!:( Everyone have fun. I do hope to make a meet someday! I am sending :sunny: :sunny: your way. I was going to PM you all my number but realized I probably wont be here because I'm going to a birthday party for my friend's son.

Sandi  I'm so sorry to hear you furbaby has crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Congratulations Sarah!!!

I pray Nicholas feels better soon! I remember getting my braces in high school and the pain that came with them! (It has been a REALLY long time ago and I still remember that first day with them!!:sad2: I had to go to school and the office refused to let me call home to get some pain medicine! I ended up borrowing money for the pay phone and sneaking in a call home for mom to come get me!)

Ok I need to go search out the bad smell that keeps drifting through the living room. I have a feeling I will find a science project somewhere that Nick is doing. He is into mixing different things lately to see what happens. (Candy, Koolaid, Milk, Pop, you name it and he mixes it!!!:scared: :faint: )
Later:wave:

Really raining here as well... a bad storm came through here not too long ago and shook the house for a few minutes. Glad I don't have to go anywhere until this evening now :) I have dinner with my dad later in honor of father's day since he'll be in Alaska next week.

Sandi, I am so very sorry about your precious Tia

Oops, lunch is here, gotta go.

you're welcome!;)

LOL, Lou, you have no idea... Luis is being a dear today knowing I am in a bit of pain today, so he did bring lunch up to me... he's a keeper now and then :)

I agree, midwestern is sexier ;)

Sandi, I'm so sorry about Tia. I love this poem.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

BTW, ask Nicholas if it's his teeth that hurt or if they are catching and rubbing on the inside of his mouth. If that is the problem, then wax is the answer. You can get orthodontic wax that you roll in little balls and stick it where it's rubbing. It's like magic and eventually, you toughen up and don't need the wax anymore. Amy not only couldn't eat, she couldn't talk either. Tell him it DOES get better.

Southern is sexiest...

Although I may have to hear all the angels to make a final decision ;)

We are home. I am now the mother of a high school graduate. Seems just yesterday she was a baby. I am proud to say that she was recognized and received a plaque for graduating in the top 5% of her class. We are all proud. Thanks for all of the well wishes.

Sandi, I am so sorry to hear about Tia. I am sure she passed peacefully knowing that you were there with her,

Sue, I know lots of soft foods after Sarah's 3 years of braces. Mashed potato bowls, soft tacos at Taco Bell, apple sauce. I will try to remember more.

It is beautiful out. I think I will go out in a chair and take a nap.

BB and Andy just left to head back to Philly and I am also leaving. See you all in a bit!

Carol, Congrats! Can't wait to see the pics!!

MP, Thanks so much for posting that, it's sweet.

More soft foods:
jello, pudding, yogurt, ice cream, canned fruit, soups, beans, potato salad, canned chicken a la king, macaroni and cheese, sloppy joes (they would just tear off small pieces of bread to eat with a spoon of meat so they wouldn't have to bite). I also ran meat through a grinder to mix with mayo and make roast beef, ham or chicken salad. Processed cheese sandwiches is also easy to eat without biting.

The good news is that you usually only have to deal with sore teeth for a couple of days each month. I used to just plan a casserole with noodles or something soft for a couple of dinners and they could find something they could eat that way.

Just spoke to all of the Angels at Angelcon. The Margaritas and Coronas haven't kicked in yet as I was still able to understand all of them (except for their Cranberry accents). There was talk about grass skirts but I guess we'll have to wait and see the pictures.

So here is the update:

Donna has taught the cats to say a few basic words so that they actually sound like real children...

Sandi is showing wedding pictures and has promised to mail the albums to all of us to look at. :D

Sue has problems with highly technical equipment such as ....cameras....
shocking.gif

Lorraine can keep a secret....::yes:: ;) She was my "insider" who helped me with the delivery schedule.

And LK and the FEDEX man are now good friends (after she greeted him in her PJs...:earseek: )

So all and all sounds like a great time. Can't wait for the pictures and hope tomorrow is just as good for Gail and Marsha...

PS Carol~congrats to Sarah. I'll know that feeling in two more years!

Hello everyone!

Glad to hear that anglecon is going swimmingly!

MP-Sounds like you had a great time, lovely poem!

Sandi I’m incredibly sorry for your loss.

Congrats to Sarah and to some pretty darn good parents that raised her well.

E have a wonderful time with your dad!!

I'm a sucker for the southern accent as well; I do wonder what everyone on here sounds like. When I read a book I cast the characters and assign voices. I know, I know ......I'm weird. lol

Can't wait to see more pics of the newlyweds!

I pray Nicholas feels better soon! I had braces for 4 years and had my pallet split .......Advil was my ticket, the wax that MP mentioned does help too.

Beautiful day here….my mom called and wanted to see Shrek 2 but wouldn’t go without a kid so I offered up my son then decided what the heck, I’d go too. Then I went for a little hair cut and to the bead store for some earring hooks so I can make some to match the necklace I just made. I need to run to blockbuster to return some movies and get dinner on.

BBL

PS This grass skirt is kinda itchy:eek:

Hugs to you Sandi

Glad to hear that things are going great at angelcon .....thanks for the update Lou ....and by the way, can we go back to New Zealand ;)

I got quite a few errands done today and walked about 4 miles at the rails to trails linear park ...... gorgeous day !

Enjoy your evening everyone !

Hi All~

I got a chance to talk to the Angel con attendees this afternoon....it sounded like they were having too much fun-lots of laughter in the back ground :jumping1:

Sandi~I'm so sorry about Tia:(

MP~Lovely poem

Sue~What a coincidence...Matthew got a mouthful of braces on Thursday too! He's been living on pudding & yogurt too:D We have found that the Campbell's 'Soup to Go' has such tiny bits it's not necessary to chew.

Good evening!

I'd like to thank the ladies in Pittsburgh for their call earlier. :D We were at the high school track walking when they called but I did my best to walk and chat at the same time! We were cut off before I could talk to LK :( but everyone said they were having a great time! Lorraine had a Corona for me and a Coors for Lew! :drinking1

In honor of the event we had strawberry daquiris once we got home! :drinking: My goal for vacation is at least a drink a day!!! Glad to hear you had a fun time and a great day! :sunny:

Hello All......

Back from Angelcon....had a great time.......we had tons of food........I had quite a few margaritas....somehow my glass just kept getting refilled! ........;)

I would like to personally thank Carol for sending the wonderful door prize that I ...ahem.......somehow won! I am now the proud owner of the official angel uniform.......and let me just say right now: NO PICTURES! (b/c I was in charge of the camera, of course..;) ) I still say it was fixed! eeny meeny miny mo....my foot! LOL

Speaking of pictures, mine are downloading now and should be another 30 mins. ......I will try to get a few on tonight!

All the kids had a great time and got along well. In fact they didnt want to leave!

The men all tolerated us and our silliness (especially mine..;) ) but only my husband would wear the lei........I guess he knew he didnt have a choice.... ;) Lorraine's DH, Joe, just looked at me and said NO way! LOL! I made LK wear a grass skirt too...she was so happy about that.....(I have pictures);)

I had a special surprise today also......I received a phone call from Mrs. Loubon who meowed at me!::yes:: :teeth: Then she asked me if Lou was there yet and said he was on his way.......might have worked if I hadn't talked to him online all morning !
Talked to Lou and both my kids had to talk to him and prove they weren't really cats! Dan said he couldn't talk to him b/c he didn't really exist!;)

I'm sure I have lots more to tell.....and will try to add more with the pictures!
