Is this today's riddle? Who is getting married?

Okay, I wasn't going to be the first to say this, but you lost me Marsha. I have no clue what you were saying. :p

So is your brother marrying his son? Is this West Virginia?

Actually, my brother would phrase it that way, it sounds odd. But no, he will be performing the ceremony for his son (my nephew) and the lovely bride. And it's gonna be in Illinois, where the happy couple currently resides.

Episcopalian priests can get married and marry people. I'll take pictures.

Marsha, I am so glad you cleared that up... being of Catholic background I didn't know that they are called fathers and can marry!! Makes tons more sense now :teeth:

unlike that blasted riddle :p

Marsha, I too thought of a Catholic priest and didn't think he would have a son. I wondered if it was two different brothers of yours and he was performing the ceremony for his nephew. I hope you don't think I was being disrespectful. I really wasn't, it was just confusing. I think it is nice that he is able to perform the wedding ceremony for his son.

Now, back to that blasted riddle.

I'm an Episcopalian and I was still confused. Just too many fathers and sons to keep it straight. Thanks for clearing it all up.

Now, back to that blasted riddle.

No disrespect here! We never have figured out how it happened. In our family, to have a priest. All of his sisters call him that the the other reference to our father, well that's really our dad, when he died the joke became "our father who are possibly in heaven". He wasn't with out sin, for sure! Me, I am pretty much a heritic, my brother continually urges me to attend his church to "Shke them up" (his congregation). One time I did, with my youngest sister, when he introduced us, you could hear the gasp! No one knew he had any family. Oh well, we just take it as it comes.

Now I still have to decide if I am going. My younger sister, the rich one says it will cost 500 for the weekend, and she just had her basement finished (with the commission from selling my youngest sisters townhouse and the commish from acting as buyers agent when same sis bought her new house) and doesn't have any discressionary cash. She lives in anover 1 million dollar home in Oakton, VA, she is the self centered selfish sister. Youngest sister won't go either, she doesn't have the $ because she just bought the new house. So that leaves me, my older sister and my oldest sister and my mother. My mother is not his (brother's) mother, my father was married prior, so he is my half brother. My oldest sister is his full sister, my half sister. And their mother lives in Texas, I imagine she will attend. I have never met her.

OK,now who is confused? Lou, darling, I know you are talking, but I can't read it. What did I tell you in chat last night?

I'm here for ya, Lou. It seemed the logical answer to me, and I wondered what on Earth she was thinking, posting that reply to men-folk!

Marsha, is this anything like his sister, the Sister?

She was thinking: they are NOT attractive pajamas like lingerie or anything! Just, oh, never mind!;)

okay, stop all the silliness for one minute..i have news and a question.

First...I received a post card for dear lars today, she was at M:S, however, I couldnt' get it to load.....but alas she's alive and well.

Second..this is for the men:
If your wife asks you if she should do something that is definately in your realm of "man jobs" and you resignedly say "I don't care what you do dear." should said wife actually take that at face value, and attempt the man job, or should she just assume you meant "do it and die."

just askin....

This saddens you? Man, and we thought you were just rough on the scouts!

If the genders were reversed in this scenerio (not that we would do "women's work") you know good and well that however a man responded it would be wrong.

aren't you even going to ask what I did??????

Brave? It isn't scary at all; I rather enjoy it actually...oh wait, you meant giving that as a response to Steph didn't you?

We know that some angels do their own laundry after all...

Okay Steph, what did you do?
