Hiya,
Wow! Such a lot to catch-up on...
now I know why we keep Lou around
I have a story about a 'Roadhouse' that threw nuts on the floor... I guess it's cos its such a bizarre idea to us 'Brits' that my family finds it so amusing and why I found it so weird at the time but perhaps you had to be there.... basically, when I was on the IP, me and a friend got stranded at Wal-Mart (missed the last bus home) so we walked to the Roadhouse (Logans I think) which is in the car park (after getting almost lost looking for... a public bus stop!) to use the phone. I've truly never been in a stranger place (no offence to anyone who likes them!)... There were huge barrels of peanuts/monkey nuts stood in the middle of the floor and the floor itself was covered in shells. All the tables housed a mini bucket o' nuts.... We were baffled LOL. We were allowed to use a public phone but realised we knew no telephone numbers for taxis so I was nominated to go ask for a Yellow Pages. Whilst at the front desk type thing asking for one I decided to ask about the nuts. The guy's response?
..."Well, it's like sawdust... only, nuts..." - Still makes me laugh four years on and I'm still unsure what that was supposed to mean/explain LOL!!
Okay, sorry if that story was completely self-indulgent and you all think I'm just a crazy, unworldly Brit now
Sorry to hear that no one is going to be able to take up my 'Tour round Yorkshire' offer in the near future, I just hope some of you will be dropping in at WDW at the same time as me and DBF instead!
*giggles* at Lars - funny story!
Gail - That picture is too sweet!!!!
Well, I'm off to bed now, work on the 'morrow *sighs*
Cya,
