Angelrose's Journey

Thanks minnie56. It seems comical now that I am home, but it wasn't so funny while I was there. I try to make myself laugh over these things. What else can you do? Oh, I know, I can come here and rant on the DIS! :rotfl:

Must remember, NO YOGA!

It is all you can do most definetly! At the time it can make you want to pull hair out and NOT necessarily your own! To be able to find yourself interject some humour when thinking about or telling the tale, that feels good. Takes the stress out of the day when we can do that and recall it as actually having a funny angle to it all....good for you.

I would have been tempted (in my mind at least) to grab the doc by the back of the head and slam his head on the table and ask if he felt that! Sorry you had such a rough time Angelrose. I hope it heals quickly now.

Your stories do make us laugh! They also make us feel like we were right there with you.

Today was a better day. I spent the whole day doing nothing at all. I felt exhausted. But no pain at all. I changed the bandage and he did a very good job. He restitched the whole area, not just the hole. He stitched it much tighter this time and added a couple more stitches. He really is a good doctor. I think the last time, he was getting tired because of all the emergencies with bleeders in other people. But yesterday I did want to pull hair and not necessarily my own. Most definitely not my own. And the short curly kind. snicker

Karen called me this morning from work to make sure I was OK. My sweet little girl.

angwill, I'm so glad you brother is OK. I appreciate your prayers. And please don't apologize. I still need those prayers. Dealing with Ron's passing is difficult and each day is a trial. So thank you for your prayers and give your brother a hug from me.

Sounds like he did a much better job this time Angelrose...that's good. When are they to come out? You might have said..memory thing..
Good thing for him too lol..that might have hurt!:rolleyes1

Nothing much to add tonite...have been sitting watching TV and just realized that the 1st of the CSI's trilogy didn't record last nite. Grrr that makes me mad.I thought it might be rather cool to watch.

Okay...hope you have a good tomorrow! Take it easy...you too Chell?

Angwill, glad that your brother is doing allright....such a worry.

The stitches come out in two weeks again. This time on the 23rd. Hopefully, it will be fully healed by the time we go to DW.

The might have a review of it tonight on CSI NY. It was a good, but kind of gory story.

Angelrose,
So sorry to hear about your DH. I would give my brother that hug but sadly a few years after his surgery and recovery from the blood clot he got hit by a car and passed away.

I will send more prayers your way. I will have to go back and read about what is going with you now with your surgery. I am sorry to hear that it sounds like you have had a hard time all around.

Angela

Oh Angela. so sorry. That is very tragic:sad2: Poor poor guy..

I thought CSI NY was tomorrow night? Ohhh have I messed that up too? Jeeez....

Angela, I am so sorry to hear about your brother. How horrible for you and your family.

minnie56, Yes CSI NY is on tonight! I keep thinking I'm a day ahead this week for some reason.

No problems with the stitches today. I'm begin very careful not to pop any stitches or anything this time. The hardest part is NOT to turn over on my side at night. When I get hot, I just have to get up and walk around like I did when Ron was asleep. I get comfort from rolling over on his side in the middle of the night. I just have to wait another two weeks to do it again.

Angelrose I'm glad to hear that today was a better day. Glad you rested today. You need the rest. You've got to get all rested up for that big ole Disney trip! Well you have to get your walking in to be ready for it too, but you have to be well rested for it at the same time. I've got to start getting in my walking for ours. I've got to feel like a human again first.

Let me tell you Ladies something - rice something-or-the-other crackers are nasty! They are almost as bad as rice cakes. YUCK! They lack all substance. And they stick to your lips and tongue when you try to eat them. You can put all the ham & cheese you want on them but they still taste foul. I got the onion & garlic flavored ones hoping that would help. Nope! Nasty! I could eat the plastic they came in and it would taste better and wouldn't stick to my lips. :snooty: I am a food snob but I tried to keep an open mind.

Today I worked over an hour but by 30 minutes over it was completely dark outside. Where did the sun go?

Angelrose, it has been a while since i last posted to your thread. I am sorry to hear of your temporary setback, but just know that you'll be great for your DW trip!
Previous posters are right on target - you do have a positive outlook on life. :thumbsup2 That's what carries me through also. Hope each day gets better. Caroline

Thank you Caroline. I do try and keep a positive attitude. Some days it's harder than others.

chell, I did take a walk last week. But then the rains came. I'm really hoping to get a walk in this weekend. I've got Jesse's birthday party on Saturday afternoon, but Sunday should be a good day for a walk. Only 29 more days to go.

Goodness, 29 only! WOW that will fly!:) At least you will be well recovered by the time Disney rolls around..

Chell, I have bought some kind of rice crackers that aren't bad at all?? Hmmm what were they tho??

Okay-I am watching CSI NY...managed to see CSI Miami earlier..

Hang in there Angelrose...you are doing so amazing. We are very proud of you...

I bet you can't wait for the birthday party! I bet Jesse really can't wait!!!

If you think of the name of the rice crackers let me know. Maybe it was the garlic onion part that was throwing these off. I don't know. I love garlic & onion but these were just nasty. Two women at work tried them today and they didn't like them.

Yes, we are very proud of you!!!

I will...I was JUST in the grocery store too! Jeeez..what a memory...
They do an old cheddar one as well that was pretty good. How many days for you till Disney? Everyone's going!!!!

How was your day Angelrose?:)

Tomorrow?:lmao:

I am thinking maybe going to Disneyland for a few days in early Dec or perhaps..a shortie disney cruise? I am always like this when I have not been back too long but long enough? It just plants the bug alllll over again:confused3

Wish I was counting down...you are getting there!!!!

Tell us about this trip you are about to take.

I know what you mean. When you don't have a trip planned you have to try to think of a way to get a trip planned soon!

23 days for me!

I've had a rough time getting excited for my trip because my Mom has been feeling so poorly. She's 93 and lives with DH & me. Turns out, she has gout. Add that to congestive heart failure, and her health is dicey. She's doing better (finally feeling better - man, gout can be so very painful.) I can't not go on this trip, & I know my sisters will take good care of Mom while we're gone.

Back to you, Angelrose - you've had quite a time with those stitches! I hope things heal this time.

And Happy Birthday to Jesse!
