Angelina files for divorce from Brad

And somewhere in Hollywood Jennifer Aniston is saying "Oh God, are the tabloids on our font porch yet honey?"

You can't work out everything. But you can work out how you're going to reconcile your differences, and that you're not going to undermine each other before hand.

Not to mention that I believe there were some children in the equation before they got together.

It's got to be weird to have your personal life news like this. She strikes me as a person of extremes, that change with time.

Wow. I don't know how I can make it through the day when there is such news. (sarcasm). But like the rest of the interwebs, my first thought was what Jennifer Aniston might be saying/thinking.

Not surprised in the least. He's had a habit of falling for his costar and cheating on his significant other since the beginning of his career. Back in the day I had a huge crush on him until I realized he was such a dog. The only surprise is that it took so long.

Does anyone actually think Jennifer Anniston cares about this news? She's (presumably) in a very happy marriage and they've been divorced for like 12 years. If she does anything more than maybe a 'huh', then she reeeeeally needs to let thing go.

In the big picture I'm sure it doesn't much matter what I think, but...I think she should feel however she wants. While it's profitable to live in the big LA fishbowl, it has it's downsides. She's been through a lot and I wish her well.

The people making comments about her don't care about what she thinks at all. They only care about how entertaining this is to them, not the real people involved. Or in Jennifer Aniston's case, not involved.

They separated just four days ago and she filed for divorce today. Those quick timelines sound like it was affair related more so than a difference in parenting styles.

I can't believe CNN thought it newsworthy enough to send an alert to my cellphone over it...... :crazy2:

Yes - I checked CNN this afternoon to see if there was any news on the terrorism plots and it was in a huge red bar on the top of the page and was the headline story! Apart from feeling bad for their children I don't really care.

I hope they can all get through it with as little fuss and as much dignity as possible.

Of course the tabloids won't allow that to happen...

Or possibly they could have laid their ducks in a row before filing?

I don't know. Often my husband and I have different parenting styles. One can not work out everything parental wise before a child is even born. How do you know everything that will come up over the years?
You should certainly be able to work out enough to not have to divorce over it.

Sorry, but this is the 3rd divorce for one and the second for the other. Whether he cheated, again, or she didn't like how he "parented," why is it even news?

I don't pay much attention to celebrity behaviors. Can someone tell me how I'm supposed to feel about this apparently shocking news?

Well, according to the news alerts, I'm supposed to explain to my children that this sometimes happens. And of course I should assure them that "everything will be okay,"

Of course if I had young children, they wouldn't have a clue who these people are. As it is, my son is an adult. When I said something to him about it, he rolled his eyes. I am guessing that he also got a "news" alert.

The rest of us? Those that really don't care? We are continuing to well, not care.
