Angelina files for divorce from Brad

I worked at a bookstore at the time and the magazines were filled with the story. They had just finished renovating a house, publicly talked about starting a family and there were pics of him and Jen on vacation just days before they split. Brad said there were issues, I don't think Jen thought there were. No one but they know. He's a serial cheater though so I lean towards he did.

I remember those stories too. The vacation photo's were strange, I remember in many she appeared to be crying and weepy. Many said that was when he told her she was leaving her.

I think that's because a lot of women subconsciously feel that if they can make it the other woman's fault then there's a chance of forgiving him. I have watched countless friends do it. A soul burning, vindictive hate for the other woman all the while letting the man back into their bed. Heck, I've seen it with men too. My oldest DD's godfather was absolutely crushed, like we had to help put him back together, when his girlfriend was cheating on him. He despises the guy but is back together with her and raising this dude's kids.

Me? I see it as 50/50 when it comes to fault. I have no respect for a man who will cheat on his wife and none for a woman who will sleep with another woman's husband. Brad had this coming but so did Angie IMO.

She is a weirdo. When she married Johnny Lee Miller, she wrote his name on the back of her t shirt she was wearing, in her own blood. I've never liked that woman. My ex husband was always so hot for her. Turns out he was a cheater, too. Huh. Go figure.

You make a good point. The warning alert I got was on an app that came with my phone. It's an "Emergency alert." Usually it goes off only when there's a flash flood, hurricane alert or an Amber alert, which I thought that was when I first read it. Then I read it again & realized the description said they were looking for a 28 yr old man.

BUT, the man that actually found the bombing suspect sleeping in the vestibule of his building, instead of going up to the man, waking him up and shooing him out of his building, and possibly getting shot & killed instead, just went & called the police about the man.

WHAT IF he called the police instead of waking up the man BECAUSE of that warning alert? If he gets CNN alerts instead or too, and read an alert yesterday about Brangelina's divorce first instead, and he turned off his cellphone because he didn't want to be reading such trivial nonsense at 8am, he might have missed the REAL, dangerous alert and could have been shot.

I was talking more on the headline news aspect of the day vs. cell phone alerts but you make a good point.

I turned off my alerts after repeated 3am warnings scaring the living daylights out of me.

Does anyone actually think Jennifer Anniston cares about this news? She's (presumably) in a very happy marriage and they've been divorced for like 12 years. If she does anything more than maybe a 'huh', then she reeeeeally needs to let thing go.

I think she have let go but people wont. She seem happy & content in her life and relationship


And he is so far from what he was 12 year years ago in terms of women desirability! Cheater, pot head, 6 kids with crazy wife that wore blood on her neck at some stage.

I hope both parents look after their kids but frankly don't care about them.

In that case couldn't you say the same for any problem in a marriage? 50% of marriages end in divorce. Add in a ton of money, fame and time away from your partner, it is not surprising.

That was a myth with it was first published and it is still a myth. Marriages that began in 90's, 70% reached their 15 year. It was 65% in the 70's and 80's.And the stats are even better for those married in the 2000's.

But really? It would be hard to care less about this particular marriage.

I'm going to say something really awful to contemplate: What if he cheated on Angelina because she had her double mastectomy? I heard she had reconstructive surgery, but what if Brad's feelings toward her changed after the operation and that lead to his wandering eye and other parts?

You might not be too far off, BUT it might not be as expected so much for physical reasons, as emotional ones:

'Angelina did not approve of this movie because she knew it would once again take him away from her and the family when she felt they needed to spend more time together,' said the friend.

Pitt, who dabbles in architecture — he designed more than 100 homes in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina — had also signed papers to start work on a $1.5 billion resort project in Croatia.

'He's a huge part of the planning. He can't wait to get started,' said the friend.

The Croatia project allowed him to meet some of the world's leading architects and learn from them, said the friend. Pitt traveled to Zablace on the Dalmatian coast earlier this month.

'For the past year Brad and Angelina have been leading separate lives. He's always flying off to one place or another, while she stays home with the kids. With each month that passed, Brad and Angelina grew further apart,' said the source.

Friends have been predicting that divorce was on the horizon.

'Now it's come to pass, and it's no surprise.'"

I thought that was interesting too. Whoever labeled it a "mid-life crisis" should read the "when is someone elderly" thread here on the DIS. At least one poster said 50 is elderly!

I think it is was more of a joke. And really who's feelings will be hurt not thinking any of them spend much time on the DIS.

My first thought was I wonder which one is now doing someone else's spouse. Then I remembered I could care less.
