Sorry, but this is the 3rd divorce for one and the second for the other. Whether he cheated, again, or she didn't like how he "parented," why is it even news?

In that case couldn't you say the same for any problem in a marriage? 50% of marriages end in divorce. Add in a ton of money, fame and time away from your partner, it is not surprising.

I wasn't aware they were married. Yes, I know they've been together for many years, but I must have missed when they tied the knot. Probably because I didn't care.

Well, according to the news alerts, I'm supposed to explain to my children that this sometimes happens. And of course I should assure them that "everything will be okay,"

Of course if I had young children, they wouldn't have a clue who these people are. As it is, my son is an adult. When I said something to him about it, he rolled his eyes. I am guessing that he also got a "news" alert.

The rest of us? Those that really don't care? We are continuing to well, not care.

Yesterday morning, everyone in the NYC/NJ vicinity got a cellphone warning alert to be on the lookout for the NYC bombing suspect. I can't imagine getting a "news" alert by CNN about Brangelina's divorce and how CNN thinks that is even on the same newsworthy level.

When they first got together, I thought they would last a few months. Maybe. When it seemed they were in it for the long haul, I figured they were meant to be together. They seemed happy, they kept having kids, they travelled together as a family, they got married as a family (her wedding gown was decorated by the kids.) I was surprised by this news. According to what I read, it sounds like he had some drug, and anger issues, or maybe had an affair or maybe all three, depending on which news outlet you read.

As far as Jennifer is concerned......I'm sure she's not. She seems happy. But there has to be some part of her that is rejoicing. She went through the ringer, very publicly when Brad left her. She was humiliated, devastated, and heartbroken. (I had read her and Brad were about to start a family when he left her) It had to sting to see him so happy with Angelina and having kids with her while she struggled. She must feel a bit vindicated now.

Brad has always been far from innocent. Male or female if you sleep with someone else's spouse, you're going to reap what you sow. I'll never understand these people who get together with someone who is cheating on their SO and think they won't be next.

But did he cheat? I wasn't sure. I thought his marriage was on the rocks and he met Angelina and they were attracted to each other but did not act on anything until he was divorced. Who knows the truth, it's just surprising this is such big news, but then again, when he broke it off with Jen it was huge news too.

You make a good point. The warning alert I got was on an app that came with my phone. It's an "Emergency alert." Usually it goes off only when there's a flash flood, hurricane alert or an Amber alert, which I thought that was when I first read it. Then I read it again & realized the description said they were looking for a 28 yr old man.

BUT, the man that actually found the bombing suspect sleeping in the vestibule of his building, instead of going up to the man, waking him up and shooing him out of his building, and possibly getting shot & killed instead, just went & called the police about the man.

WHAT IF he called the police instead of waking up the man BECAUSE of that warning alert? If he gets CNN alerts instead or too, and read an alert yesterday about Brangelina's divorce first instead, and he turned off his cellphone because he didn't want to be reading such trivial nonsense at 8am, he might have missed the REAL, dangerous alert and could have been shot.

I'm going to say something really awful to contemplate: What if he cheated on Angelina because she had her double mastectomy? I heard she had reconstructive surgery, but what if Brad's feelings toward her changed after the operation and that lead to his wandering eye and other parts?

The break up has been rumored for quite a while. Allegedly, Brad's substance abuse and strict traditional parenting style is the reason Angelina filed for sole physical custody of the children.

I worked at a bookstore at the time and the magazines were filled with the story. They had just finished renovating a house, publicly talked about starting a family and there were pics of him and Jen on vacation just days before they split. Brad said there were issues, I don't think Jen thought there were. No one but they know. He's a serial cheater though so I lean towards he did.

Yep, Brad WAS far from innocent when breaking off with Jennifer Anniston, but it seems 99% of the bad press was directed at Angelina, that slutty homewrecking hoar. (sp). (Perhaps because JA was considered a sweetheart and AJ had a history of bizarre antics.)

Even most women seemed to blame the other woman rather than the cheating husband.
