OMG CE 5 pages already :faint:

Just marking my spot to read later (after some sleep) it was fantastic meeting you I just wish it could have been for longer :hug:

Well, I remembered that Ab's favorite book when she was 2 was the Pooh and Piglet book that started "and the rain rain rain came down down down and Piglet started swimming..." or something like that! And I got all sentimental and asked Ab if she remembered it............she swore she'd never heard it before. :sad2:

They both remember very little now about life before K---I guess that's normal--but kinda sad.

::yes:: I know what you mean. Even now, I'll say something like, "Do you remember what you used to call the aliens in Toy Story?" and they don't. (It was "zealots", by the way. :rotfl: Because Woody says something like, "Let go of him, you zealot!" when the claw comes.)

I was feeling slightly frantic Monday night, the 18th. I had gotten the "all clear" for my grandpa, so it looked like WDW was a go. But I was totally unprepared - I had half thought that, by packing for WDW, it wouldn't actually happen. KWIM? :goodvibes

Tuesday was busy - Woody had been desperate for a playdate with a kindergarten friend, and it was the only day to do it. So, we had company Tuesday morning, then I had a tennis lesson from 4:30 to 6:00 Tuesday evening. The boys also had a birthday party that ran from 4:30 to 7:00. D & I shuffled them and somehow managed to get packed, too.

But all along, we were watching the radar. :eek: T.S. Fay was just hovering over Florida. I was worried for my friends who were already there or were leaving Tuesday. :guilty: I was worried that we wouldn't get to leave Wed. after all.

I kept obsessively checking Southwest's web site. The direct flights from our airport on Tuesday were all going, but ones with connections weren't. :headache: We were flying direct, but were on the first plane out on Wed. morning. I was afraid that our plane might not have gotten INTO the airport Tuesday night.

It was a 7:00 a.m. departure. We live not too far from the airport, but we still felt that we should arrive about an hour and a half early, as we'd need the long term parking, breakfast, etc. So I had the alarm set for 4:00, so we could leave the house by 5:00 and be at the airport for 5:30. I am NOT a morning person. Also, I had signed up so that Southwest would send me a text message if the flight status changed. My phone started beeping at me at about 3:00 a.m. to let me know it was all good. :rolleyes:

Oh, and did I mention that the boys and I all had colds? :rolleyes:

So, dark and early Tuesday morning, D & I got up and got the van loaded. We woke the boys, who were pleasantly surprised to find that Tinkerbell had come to visit in the night! She left pixie dust on their pillows. :wizard:

We made it to the airport with no issues. D dropped me, the boys, and the bags at curbside check-in and went to park the van. We were in a long line there, but there were something like 5 Southwest flights going out between 6:30 and 7:30, so it wasn't all for our flight. We hadn't made it through security yet when D joined us.

Got through, no problem, got breakfast, then got loaded up. The flight WAS full, and we had decided to take window and aisle seats in 2 rows behind each other. That was a mistake, because then we did end up with single aisle folks next to us, and the boys of course found the bathroom fascinating. :rolleyes: When we had flown down last year, the flight wasn't full, so we had been able to get two full rows for the 4 of us, but... Live and learn.

I was totally miserable on the plane - when I get colds nowadays, my ears always clog up as well. The pressure wasn't great, but hey, we were on the way to Disney!

Here we are on the plane - D & Woody:

And Buzz & I:

I look tired! :scared: :rotfl:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The flight was pretty smooth until we got about over Georgia, where we started to hit the Fay clouds, but it was still fine.
We landed a little earlier than our scheduled 10:00. As soon as I turned on my phone, I had a text from earlier in the day from T (Disneyland_mama) that she had made her first flight, and her connection was still on time. That meant she should also be arriving shortly into MCO. :banana:
It was raining and windy, but not awful. We hustled off the plane - we were up in rows 4 & 5, I think - and out to the mini-monorail, as Buzz calls it.
We wound our way slowly down to the ME counter. I guess it's just where Southwest comes in, but I swear we couldn't be any further away. :confused: However, we were letting ME get our bags, so it wasn't a big deal.
I got in the very short ME line whilst D & the boys relaxed:
The pics of the boys "relaxing" are so cute - it's like they're trying really hard to look relaxed, but their faces just scream "DISNEY, BAYBEE!!!" :rotfl:
And then I.... :rolleyes1
:sad2: popcorn:: Don't make me bloat.
So glad your flight was not delayed, the flight anxiety was killing me and you must have been going through the same, not fun!
So did u not pick your seats?
Looks like the boys were enjoying the flight!
And then you...
Just until tomorrow (likely), but you know already. ;)
Soon... :goodvibes
No, it really wasn't. I was happy to have the first flight in the morning, but it added a little extra worry once things started to get canceled the day before, you know?
So did u not pick your seats?
We flew Southwest. I had set the alarm Tuesday morning to get up and check in so we had a good "boarding number" but with the full flight... :confused3
And then you...
Riiiiight... NEVER. ;)
