There was a bit of drama for me, personally, just before we left. My grandfather, who's been living with inoperable lung cancer for 4ish years, was also suddenly diagnosed with colon cancer. We were supposed to leave Wed., Aug. 20th, but Grandpa was now scheduled for necessary but very risky surgery on the 18th. He pulled through yet again, so we were feeling good to go. But then there was Tropical Storm Fay...

I'm glad he pulled through

My phone started beeping at me at about 3:00 a.m. to let me know it was all good.

I suppose it was good to know but they could have done it a bit later

Oh, and did I mention that the boys and I all had colds?

Oh no!

We woke the boys, who were pleasantly surprised to find that Tinkerbell had come to visit in the night! She left pixie dust on their pillows.

How sweet

I was totally miserable on the plane - when I get colds nowadays, my ears always clog up as well. The pressure wasn't great, but hey, we were on the way to Disney!

Next time you must take some nasal spray, I get terrible ear pain but since using the spray I haven't had any pain at all
