Awwww Josh
I am sorry after all this time things didn't work out like you were hoping. I honestly think it is a 'blessing in disguise' honey. IMO, she was rude and immature. Any nice, polite, caring young lady, when told she was cute, should've politely said 'thanks' and let it be.
I saw my son go through something like this when he was younger. He has his heart set on meeting this beautiful young lady, who he felt was out of his league. Like you, he felt intimidated and his friends helped set things up. He dated her awhile and quickly learned, sometimes 'beauty is only skin deep.' Turns out, she was vain, shallow, rude and lacked personality - so beauty took a second seat and it did not last long.
Life is all about stepping stones to help make us stonger honey and try to consider this as one. Please do not let it discourage you if it was not meant to be and move on. Years and some girlfriends later

, DS did meet his soul mate, who the sun rises and sets for and he is most happy and content.
Rest assured and convenience yourself, there are plenty of nice girls out there just waiting to meet a nice, caring fellow such as yourself. It will happen when you least expect it if keep the faith ^i^.
