Okay, so I need to make Seth's appointment at the Harmony Barber Shop. I can't decide if I should make it for before our breakfast at CP (which is at 10:10) for 9:30 or for after breakfast at 11:30. What do you guys think???

We always do the haircut appts at opening. Then the kids are fresh, not tired and there isn't a backup with appts. Ty and Josie both had first haircuts there!! :thumbsup2

Just thinking about all that good eating has me ready to go back.
Congratulations on getting what you wanted. :cool1:

So glad you were able to get what you wanted!

Your plans look awesome! That's so exciting that you will be at MK on October 1. And I've always wanted to do MNSSHP. Some day...:cloud9:

Congrats on getting all the restaurants you wanted! Your plans look so great :goodvibes

I know I'm late but I'm in! So glad to see you have a new PTR going. I've always loved reading along on your reports Dawn. October is when I'd love to go next so I think you made a great decision! :thumbsup2

I'm a bit late joining in, but your trip sounds great and your son is adorable! I'm looking forward to reading along!

Your plans sound wonderful. The ADR are making so hungry. I am not a breakfast eater, but breakfast at Disney is always special.

The videos of Margot and Seth are so cute. Hey for teeth.:cheer2:

I'm not a huge breakfast-eater, either. But I've been wanting to do 1900 for awhile now b/c I love Alice. WCC came into play just to have in case we want to eat there before leave as we'll already be at the resort. Cape May came in so that Luke/Anna would get a character meal. And then I added CP b/c I know Seth will recognize the Winnie the Pooh characters. :thumbsup2

Those look like great restaurants, Dawn! And the perfect amount of planned Disney time, especially with a little one. I can't wait to hear how you like Cape May - it is probably my favorite character breakfast for lots of reasons - characters, food, location. I just love it!

So far Tusker House has been my fav character meal (and breakfast) but we wanted to try something new!

I completely understand your excittement about your ADR Day..I had mine a few days ago! :cool1:

Looks like our paths may only cross at POP. Your plans for the parks are different than mine.

Your ADR's look great! :thumbsup2

I was so tempted to book a bkfst at Cape May but decided to save that one for the NYE trip.

I'm now a big fan of Kona. It's sooo good!
Ever since I read MeMom and your reviews, I knew I had to try it.
I did and it was one of the best meals I had.

I hope you get everything you want on Saturday! :goodvibes

Oh my...Seth is so cute when he laughs!
Gotta love babies giggling! How can you not laugh too...it's automatic.

Well, who knows....our plans could change! But if we are at Pop at the same time we definitely should at least meet up to say hello!

We LOVE Kona. I've eaten there every trip and I plan to do so unless they go way downhill.

The guy on the right in the jeans is really getting down !!! :rotfl2:

The lady with the hot dog :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I know....I was cracking up at that guy! And the lady with the hot dog....:rotfl:

I think your plans look great!! Its looks like you have lots of buffets, with a few special meals thrown in. I always suggest buffet dining with small children, that way if someone has to take the kiddo out of the restaurant and entertain them, no one has to eat cold food. I'm all about maximizing eating hot food, because, lets face it, it doesn't happen too often when you are a mom! :rotfl2:

Seriously! Ray and I are having our first date night this Saturday (4/13 is our 9-year anniversary ) and I'm SO exciting about being able to eat my food as soon as it's given to me!!! :rotfl2: It's like that scene from "A Christmas Story" where Ralphie talks about how his mom never got a hot meal.

I also want to share our experiences with Fantasmic and Everett. We took him for the first time at 4 months and then at 6 months. We skipped it at 10 months because I wasn't sure he'd sit through it. Fantasmic is REALLY loud! I don't think I realized it before I had kids, but if Seth is sensitive to loud noises, you'd be better off sitting towards the back. Also be sure to cover his ears during the Pocahontas part right before they start digging for gold, because there is a SUPER loud cannon shot. I kinda forgot about that, but a college program CM was sitting next to me, and he gave me the heads up before it happened! :thumbsup2

Cool...thanks! I will probably take ear plugs just in case. We have neighbors that always do a huge fireworks show on July 4th, so we'll have that to practice with when he's 10 months old. Plus he's used to our loud-mouthed beagles barking, so hopefully he'll be okay.

It looks like you are going in with lots of flexibility, which is great, because we all know how quickly things can change with babies. Their preferences, their schedule, what they will and will not eat can change pretty drastically month by month. I found that traveling with Everett made me tweak my itinerary even more than I usually did (and I'm usually pretty fond of tinkering with the plan!) ;)

Yep, I totally agree. Who knows what he'll be doing in 6 months. Most of our ADRs are not at places that are highly sought after or impossible to get. So if I have to do some tweaking closer to our trip as to fit his schedule better, I will.

Great plans!! So great, in fact, that I want to come with...lol. I suppose that won't work, as I'll be having a baby around that time....haha.

I'd say that you'll probably be rather occupied by that time! ;)

Some really good restaurants in there. A couple I love and a couple I want to try. So, looks good.

I see you're trying to work around Seth's schedule. I hope he's still on the same routine when you go, so that you can predict when he's going to want to eat/sleep. With our kids, just when they got into a routine....they'd change it up. :sad2: The little stinkers.

Yeah, I've thought about that. I have no idea what kind of eating/sleeping routine he'll be on when he's 13 months old. Luckily most of the places we're going are not places where it's impossible to get an ADR. So if I have to make a few adjustments before we go to fit his schedule I will try.

Your ADRs look great! I've always wanted to try Flying Fish.

Thanks! I know....I'm excited about that one! When Erica and I walked by FF during our trip in September 2008 it smelled SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!

While you are eating dinner at Boma, we will be in the air on our way! :cool1:

It all sounds great! Isn't it SOOO fun to be making these plans?!?!? :dance3:

Awesome!!! I will text you pictures of zebra domes....only they won't be envious texts this time b/c you'll be there to get your own zebra domes in a matter of hours!

YES!!!!! I'm so excited about this trip....can't wait!

GREAT dining choices! I loved Cape May Cafe.. sadly we are not going there this time because my Dad wouldn't like it. He's too picky. But many of the ones you chose are my favorites! ....Crystal Palace, Boma!!

I am like you.. I like things to be PLANNED but my parents are going this time and I don't want to be to structure and crazy. Plus, I'm taking into account that they are older and not super in shape- so I have to leave time to be FREE. But it drives me nutso! The first day that we are in Disney- we aren't visiting the parks and we vowed it a "free day" but I've noticed I'm still trying to plan things like dining and where we will go.. instead of playing it by ear. hehe :rotfl:

Well, I'd love to be able to plan, like you, but with Seth it's just impossible. When I think back about what he was doing a month ago it's so different than what he's doing now. So you never know what he'll be doing at 13 months!

Seth is absolutely adorable and I love that little laugh...I can't help but laugh too!

Your ADRs look awesome! I love Boma, and we have never done 1900 PF for breakfast (only dinner, once), but I really, really want to try the breakfast. I have always wanted to try Kona, too. So excited you get to make the ADRs tomorrow!

Thanks! Try Kona your next trip - you won't regret it! It's soooo yummy. And you can't go wrong with a Lapu Lapu. :)

Your ADR's look great!!!! We love Crystal Palace, Cape May, and 1900 Park Fare! We have NEVER had Boma:eek:, but wish to try it one time soon! What is your favorite thing about Boma as a recommendation that one must absolutely must try? Can't wait til our trip for MNSSHP is on the books! Still waiting for the school schedule to be finalized for Fall :rolleyes1

I've only eaten at Boma once but I LOVED it. My favorites were the salads, the pepper pot chicken soup (OMG...best soup I've ever had! I tried to make it but not even close) the salmon, zebra domes and upside down pineapple cheesecake. I was kinda scared at first because when I heard "African food" I was like :scared1:. But there were LOTS of choices and that's the good thing about a buffet....if you don't eat what's on your plate, no big deal. Just get another plate and try something else. But I can honestly say I liked everything I tried there.

Congratulations on your ADR's, one of the first steps in making your trip real.

Thanks! :)

Yay for getting the ADR's you wanted! :cool1:

:yay:

Hurray for being just six months away from your trip!!! :woohoo: The ADRs you were able to make look great -- you know how I feel about Boma, and I am looking forward to your review of Kouzzina!

We are inside 6 months now....:dance3: Yeah, I was hesitant on Kouzzina but I'm looking forward to it. I figure you can't go wrong with an Iron Chef. :lmao: I ate at Bobby Flay's place, Mesa Grill, when we were in NYC and it was SO GOOD. So I'm holding Cat Cora up to the same standard.

I'm glad you got what you wanted! I'm surprised at the 180 day mark there wasn't a better time for the Fan. Package! :confused3

That package is getting harder and harder to get. Whenever I call for clients who want MM, usually all they have is odd times and more often than not they only have Hollywood & Dine left. I'm just glad I got MM!

I'm so excited for you Dawn!

Thank. Me too!!!! :woohoo:

Great dining choices! I will be excited to hear about Kouzzina... I kind of want to switch a few things and try it.. Good luck with the rest of your ADRs!

Thanks! Kouzzina was an iffy one for me but I decided to try it just to say I've eaten at Cat Cora's place. It gets decent reviews and I'm curious.

Congratulations! You have some great choices.

I wish the Fantasmic packages were a little later in the evening as well. We got one this summer for a late lunch at 1:30.

Good luck on Tuesday with the rest of your choices.

What I've heard is they won't let you make the Fantasmic package ADRs after 5:00 UNLESS they have 2 showings of Fantasmic that night, then they open up more time slots. But the night we're going it's showing at 8:00 and that's it.

So glad you were able to get the ADR's you wanted!

Thanks! :)

FUN stuff Dawn! Your plans sound great! Seth is adorable as always...good to hear his teeth are coming in :)

Thanks! Yes, I'm glad those dang teeth are finally coming in! I was beginning to wonder.

We always do the haircut appts at opening. Then the kids are fresh, not tired and there isn't a backup with appts. Ty and Josie both had first haircuts there!! :thumbsup2

Good point. I talked to Ray about it last night and we agreed I need to make it for before breakfast, I'm thinking 9:30. That way we can avoid the rope drop crowd but get there right after. And cutting his hair will take all of 10 minutes, so we should still be fine for our ADR at Crystal Palace at 10:10.

Just thinking about all that good eating has me ready to go back.
Congratulations on getting what you wanted. :cool1:

Thanks! You guys only have a couple more months before you go back in the summer, right?

So glad you were able to get what you wanted!

Your plans look awesome! That's so exciting that you will be at MK on October 1. And I've always wanted to do MNSSHP. Some day...:cloud9:

Thanks! Well, I actually won't be there on October 1st. Anna and Luke are going there while Seth and I relax at the resort (after my 5K) that morning, then we're meeting up at Epcot. But I didn't want Seth's first time in MK to be without Ray and he won't be there until that evening. Still exciting to be at the resort on that day, though!

I am glad you got everything you wanted! Your plans look great.

Thanks! :)

Congrats on getting all the restaurants you wanted! Your plans look so great :goodvibes

Thank you! ;)

I know I'm late but I'm in! So glad to see you have a new PTR going. I've always loved reading along on your reports Dawn. October is when I'd love to go next so I think you made a great decision! :thumbsup2

No problem...thanks for reading! We're so excited about this trip....can't wait!

I'm a bit late joining in, but your trip sounds great and your son is adorable! I'm looking forward to reading along!

Welcome! Your little girl is a doll, too! :)

A tiny tidbit of trip news and then a couple pictures. :)

First of all, Ray and I talked about it last night and I think we're going to make Seth's haircut appointment at Harmony Barber Shop at 9:30 on 10/3, before our breakfast at Crystal Palace. I decided to do it before b/c there won't be as long of a wait (I will have an appt but still may have to wait a few minutes, I'm sure). Once they start I'm sure it will take no more than like 10 minutes to cut it! So I'm gonna call and make the appointment here in the next few days.

Seth's spring pictures from school.....

Seth and my friend Jennifer (although you can't really see her) who is going to watch him 2 days a week this summer while school is out. I love this picture!

I took this last night. They were laying on the bed watching the dogs in the floor while I was getting Seth's bath ready. I just thought it was cute. :goodvibes

The pics of Seth in the basket are adorable. I think he's definitely starting to look more like you now! :)

We had the first appt of the day and by the time we were done there were prob 10 people behind us already. I think there are usually 3 people cutting.

I always love to see new Seth pictures. He's such a cutie!
Looking forward to seeing him sitting up on the barber chair getting his First Haircut Mickey Ears.

Dawn! I think Seth looks so much like you. :) Do you hear that often? Love the new photos! Hurray for getting his first haircut at Disney. That will be so, so special.

Love the pictures! Seth is just adorable.

So cool that he will get his first haircut at Disney World. :thumbsup2 What a great memory that will be!

Love all our ADR's. We had later breakfast's this past time too, one was early, Tusker House, But it didn't bother us because my kids don't get up early so it works for us.

Can't wait to see him getting his first haircut in Disney! :goodvibes

Love the pictures from school. too cute he is.

Seth is such a lil man now! I was just going to look back on your trip reports for MVMCP. We decided non going in Dec. :cool1:

I cannot get over how cute he is! I love his smile! Just precious :) Your shirt is adorable too! Love the pics :)
