Sha little Carter sleeping through everything!
Okay, that parade looks completely awesome!!! Reid will flip out when he sees the Lost Boys with Peter Pan. Not to mention Tick Tock Crock! Would it be mean of me to wake him up if he's asleep?

I was a little worried about MNSSHP after reading your 1st update about the party. But, now I'm excited!
I think he would have had fun, but at least he was sleeping and not awake and being grumpy all night.
It was a very awesome parade! I was really impressed with it. I'm sure Reid will love the pirate segment. The sword fights are really cool. It'd be a shame for him to miss it, but I'd never wake a kid up for it.

I think you all will have fun at MNSSHP. We're going back this year, and I'm already excited, too.
I'm so glad the party redeemed itself! I'd go just to see the headless horseman!
What cool character sightings. I love the Candy Co. truck-so much fun!
I would probably offer Landon 100 lollipops too. He is pretty adorable. Bratty, whiny kids not so much.
Poor Carter. Did he even realize that he'd missed the whole party? Was he upset?
The headless horseman was definitely worth the price of admission! That was one of the coolest things I'd ever seen.
The characters were awesome, especially all dressed up for Halloween.
Landon tends to make eye contact and smile at every stranger he sees, so it makes kind of makes sense. I'm sure that kid had a full bag of candy, too.
No, Carter still doesn't have any idea that the party ever happened! He loves the soundtrack of the Boo to You parade, but he had no idea what he missed. Maybe next year!
Poor Carter. Maybe next time he'll take that nap.
The parade looks like it was very good. I know I wasn't all that impressed by the one at MVMCP, so I guess maybe that party's strength is its fireworks and the Halloween party has the better parade.
He would have loved that parade, but he really should have napped when I told him to. I hope he's awake for it next time.
I've always loved the Christmas parade at MVMCP, but the MNSSHP parade was even better than that one! I'd say that's true for me, the Christmas fireworks are the best and the Halloween parade. Now if they ever made a parade that had the Boo to You parade and Holiday Wishes, it'd be perfect!
Yay, all was not lost!
I'm so glad you all enjoyed the parade! It is very magical and is one of the reasons why we're going to do MNSSHP again this October
The parade really made our night!
That's a big reason why we'll be going back again this year, too. The Headless Horseman was so cool!
That's not faaaairr!! We didn't get any candy at all when we saw the parade!

I can understand whiny kid anyway. It wasn't as if there were any other CMs giving candy out during the party. Geesh. Too funny that Landon got another after!
So glad you enjoyed the parade! Too bad Carter didn't get to see it. He must've been super tired to sleep through the entire party!
I almost think I might have given him one of Landon's, if the kid hadn't called Landon a baby, but once he did that, it was just more amusing to keep Landon's lollipops.

I'm sure the kid had plenty of candy. And really, those lollipops weren't even very good candy.
Carter would have loved that parade, but I guess my plan to wear him out in the morning succeeded at last. He had had a big day and must have been exhausted.
I can't believe that Carter slept through the whole party! He is such a little trooper! It is kinda sad that he missed it, but better a sleeping kid than a grumpy one.
I'm glad that you guys enjoyed the parade and that it redeemed the party. I think the parade is just awesome, and I can't wait to see it again this year. We have the soundtrack and listen to it all the time. Everett can already sing along, so I guess he's more than ready!
I'm also sorry that your party got cut short, but maybe it was for the best. We can look forward to when the kids are older and they are the ones dragging us through the park late at night. I know I should be enjoying every minute of toddler-hood, but there are times when I wish we could just skip ahead a little, and night time at the parks is definitely one of those times!
I was really surprised, too! I kept expecting Carter to wake up tired and miserable at any moment, but he was really, really asleep. I was sorry he missed out on the fun, but at least the rest of us had a good time.
That parade was so amazing! I can't wait to see it again, too. We listened to the soundtrack in the car twice today and Carter and Landon sing along, too. I bet they'd get along really well with Everett.
It probably was for the best, but I really love those last moments of a party night, once most people have already left and the park gets more and more empty. Sometimes, I find toddler-hood difficult to enjoy. It's a fun stage, but at the same time, it'll be so much more fun when they can stay out late and ride anything at Disney.
Whenever I need a cute kids fix and not just my own grandkids, I know I can always get that from Carter and Landon.
One thing:
The Haunted Mansion and Hallowishes makes you uneasy, as far as maybe causing nightmares,,,,,
but a Headless Horseman riding through the streets on a steed is cool?
Okayyyy...
But I, too, didn't care for Hallowishes,,, I admit, we only saw it from the Poly Beach and more recently, From the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Towers, which was better,,, but it still seemed disjointed and mainly,,,, BLAH,, to me. I 'd still much rather watch regular Wishes, instead.
Thanks for taking the time and sharing, Kate.

Thanks, Nebo! Carter and Landon are always good for cute fix.
I wish I could explain that, but really I've got no good reason to be uneasy with Nightmare Before Christmas and Hallowishes, but not the Headless Horseman. I don't know...it's just a feeling I got when I watched those two. Definitely no creepy feeling about the Headless Horseman, though. Anyone who can ride that good while holding his own head is awesome!
I'm always glad to hear someone else doesn't like Hallowishes that much, even if it's for different reasons than me. I don't really understand why it's so popular, unless it's just one of those shows that really needs to be viewed from Main Street. I'd rather see regular Wishes any time, too. It's more magical somehow.
Thanks for reading!
