An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Hahaha, I love the pictures of the boys on the PeopleMover. Carter looks like he's thinking, "yeah, this is all well and good but what about the escalator?" :lmao:

Oh no... not the moment you have to leave MK! That always hits me the hardest for some reason.

Can't wait to hear about where you went to dinner! I'm glad there's still more posts about Epcot and Animal Kingdom coming. :)

Carter's face just kills me in those Mickey pictures. The look of sheer joy is just so adorable. :goodvibes

Such a sad feeling to be leaving MK for the last time on a trip. :sad1:

But, I'm excited to hear about where y'all were going to eat at Epcot.

 the pic of a sleepy Landon hugging Pooh! So cute!!!

And I completely understand that leaving MK feeling. :sad2: Joe prefers to end our trips at Epcot, and it's hard for me! There is just something about ending at MK...

No matter where you end up spending your last Disney day, saying goodbye to MK for the final time is always a sad experience. I guess it's because it's the original park, and the most iconic one, but it can just break your heart to catch that last glimpse of the castle. :sad1:

However, I'm looking forward to seeing where your Epcot ADR is for. I have a suspicion based on past TRs, but I don't know.

Absolutely love your trip reports! Your boys are so adorable - so cute the way they greet the characters. You're making lots of wonderful memories!:goodvibes

Landon and carter are so cute whenever they meet characters! I so feel your pain leaving MK for the last time on your trip.

I know, that expression on his face on the PeopleMover is so funny! He's definitely mostly in it for the escalators. :rotfl:

Me, too! I'm sad at the last time for all the other parks, too, but that MK is definitely the hardest.

I was very excited about our ADR that night. I was glad to have some more park time coming up.

Carter's face just kills me in those Mickey pictures. The look of sheer joy is just so adorable. :goodvibes

I love how joyful he looks in the pictures. I can't believe he loves the characters that much, but it sure is fun!

Such a sad feeling to be leaving MK for the last time on a trip. :sad1:

But, I'm excited to hear about where y'all were going to eat at Epcot.

That leaving MK feeling is the worst! I don't think I liked not ending our trip with MK. It just felt so odd to know we wouldn't be coming back, but still had time left.

I was really looking forward to that ADR!

 the pic of a sleepy Landon hugging Pooh! So cute!!!

Thanks! I love how he looks in that picture. He looks so happy and sleepy.

I've always liked to end our trips at MK, but it didn't work out this time. I think Epcot wouldn't be too bad to end at, but there is just something about walking down Main Street at then end of a trip that feels right.

No matter where you end up spending your last Disney day, saying goodbye to MK for the final time is always a sad experience. I guess it's because it's the original park, and the most iconic one, but it can just break your heart to catch that last glimpse of the castle. :sad1:

It is sad, saying goodbye to MK. It's always hard knowing that that's going to be the last time you'll see the Castle that trip. I hate it when we take the Monorail back to our car and it talks about concluding your visit to the WDW Resort. :sad2:

I think you're probably right about the Epcot ADR. :thumbsup2

Absolutely love your trip reports! Your boys are so adorable - so cute the way they greet the characters. You're making lots of wonderful memories!:goodvibes

Thanks! I love character greeting with my boys. They're a lot of fun to watch and we'll have so many great memories of these early trips with them. :)

Landon and carter are so cute whenever they meet characters! I so feel your pain leaving MK for the last time on your trip.

Thanks! I love how excited they get when they meet characters! It's always hard leaving the MK. Such a magical place.

Let that hostess lady be warned: You can't mess with a Diser. We always come prepared (similar to Girl Scouts).

Oh my gosh, I'm so glad Tigger was successfully retrieved... it just would not be good to lose him! (My Tigger went by the name 'Pinky', by the way.) :rotfl:

They let you order more pretzel bread? That's so good to know. We're going this summer (for the first time!) and I have a feeling my family will be into the pretzel bread and ONLY the pretzel bread... as far as bread goes, at least, hahaha. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal! It looked really good!

I can't imagine what would happen if my Boo had thrown her Piglet over the fence! I can see the major amount of issue losing Tigger could be.

Great update! Our family really likes Le Cellier and I can see why your husband was so worried about missing that reservation!

It actually worked pretty well, until he started shaking his head furiously to make the napkin fall to the floor and laughing loudly about it, and immediately crying to have his napkin back.

As long as I caught the napkin in time, it wasn't too bad and I hoped we weren't annoying any other guests.

Since I've become a Mom, I have realized I don't even hear this kind of stuff anymore! Crying children? Huh? Oh..right, he's crying. Didn't notice! I hope I never lose that Mommy-skill!

Hooray for a successful meal! I completely understand the rushed meal thing, we are the same way. We feel quite accomplished when we have a good sit-down one with one toddler, I'm sure it's quite the high when you have two! :thumbsup2

I have heard nothing but great things about the filet at Le Cellier, so hearing that you and Jeremy (and Landon:rotfl:) liked it as well, must mean that all these reviews are being pretty truthful.
Sounds like Landon was restless, though. I wish I had a quarter for everytime a kid threw a precious toy into an area where they couldn't retrieve it....I don't get what the fascination with it is.:confused3

Glad your meal at Le Cellier was such a success! You are the second person I've heard mention that kids are segregated to one portion of the resturant. I know some parents that would take it personally, but I'm glad to hear it. It make me much more likely to book an ADR at Le Cellier if I know I'm going to be sat among kindred spirits as opposed to honeymooners who don't understand what the future holds. :lmao:

It always cracks me up to hear about Landon's advanced palate. I think Everett would rather eat poison than risotto. In fact, I don't think even I would eat mushroom risotto! :lmao: Maybe Landon will grow up to be a chef or a food critic or something awesome like that!

That's exactly the reason why I too always carry my reservation numbers around with me. I have a fear of that too, that I'll show up and they will say I don't have a reservation.

We have a foodie in our group that did the same thing! When we went with Joaquin back in 2009, he wanted nothing of his steak, but decided very quickly that my steak was far superior. I hope he grows up to be a food critic. :lmao:

This is the first I've ever heard of someone needing to show the number! I'll admit I still (usually) carry all of mine anyway. Glad you were able to get it because dinner sounds wonderful. I've not been impressed with the place, but it sure looks like Landon is a fan! Too cute!

What is it with little boys throwing things they shouldn't in places where they shouldn't?!? :confused3 On Reid's 1st trip at Disney, we had (of course) bought him a cute set of Mickey ears. While he was waiting in line with Ed for the Speedway, he threw his ears onto the track! :headache: A very nice CM saw & retrieved them for him, but still! I'm glad y'all were able to get Tigger back!

I'm glad y'all had a nice dinner! The risotto sounds delicious! I think this is the 2nd TR I've read with someone taking little ones to Le Cellier. If I remember right, the other person was set in a room of families also. I think that's really good for both families & people without kids that they do that. :goodvibes

Really like this pic with the flag flying over the castle! I never noticed how many flags there are all over the tops of the buildings before.

There have been so many times that I've brought those numbers with me that I was almost feeling silly for doing it and then it actually came in handy! Always prepared!

I'm really glad we got Tigger back. Failure was not an option. Landon would have been devastated to lose his Tigger for good. All little kids need a Tigger or Pinky!

I never considered that they might not let us order more pretzel bread! We did get more pretzel bread and I was glad we did. The other bread is okay, but the pretzel bread is awesome! It was a really good meal. It had been five years since we'd been there.

I can't imagine what would happen if my Boo had thrown her Piglet over the fence! I can see the major amount of issue losing Tigger could be.

Great update! Our family really likes Le Cellier and I can see why your husband was so worried about missing that reservation!

Wouldn't it be the worst to lose something like that? I would have felt awful if we hadn't have gotten it back. Landon really didn't think that one through very well.

Thanks! We love Le Cellier, too and it was great to go again. Kind of funny, because the last time we were there was on our honeymoon and it was a completely different experience when we did it with the two boys. :rotfl:

Since I've become a Mom, I have realized I don't even hear this kind of stuff anymore! Crying children? Huh? Oh..right, he's crying. Didn't notice! I hope I never lose that Mommy-skill!

I usually still hear it, but instead of being annoyed, I'm just grateful it's not one of mine. :rotfl: I wish all restaurants would seat families with little kids in the same area!

Sometimes, at Disney, we ask for our check as soon as we're done ordering so we can leave as soon as we're all done eating and we don't have to hang around waiting at the end of the meal. It's definitely a big accomplishment to have a nice sit down meal with two toddlers!

For me, the filet at Le Cellier was one of the things that actually seemed as good as everyone says it is. We really liked eating there, especially Landon. Maybe next time we'll skip the kid's meal and get an appetizer and let Landon eat the same food we do.
Landon was pretty restless that night. He was very sleepy and I think the whole week of being on vacation was starting to wear him out. I don't know why kids feel the need to throw beloved items where they can't be retrieved. Happens all the time!

:lmao:

I was kind of nervous taking the boys into a place like that, but it did really help to be seated next to other families. The boys were fairly good that meal, but they're still kids and they're still noisy. The last time we were at Le Cellier, we were those honeymooners who had no idea what the future holds! :rotfl:

It is funny, seeing a two year old with good taste in food. The things he eats are always very advanced for his age. I can't help but feel that choosing the poison over the risotto might be a mistake. Mushroom risotto is delicious! That would be cool, if Landon turned out to be a critic or a chef. Ratatouille is one of his favorite movies.

:lmao:

I've always figured they give us those reservation numbers for a reason! I've had CMs on the phone before not be able to find dining reservations with the number before, so having it with me seems like a good idea.

That's so funny! It's cute when little kids have grown up palates. Joaquin and Landon could be Disney food critics someday! I kind of wish I'd tasted the kid's steak now. Maybe it was too tough for little guys to chew.

This is the first I've ever heard of someone needing to show the number! I'll admit I still (usually) carry all of mine anyway. Glad you were able to get it because dinner sounds wonderful. I've not been impressed with the place, but it sure looks like Landon is a fan! Too cute!

I've very seldom needed those reservation numbers, but when I did need them, I was really glad to have them! I'm glad we were able to eat at Le Cellier that night. It ended up being pretty fun and we all loved the food, especially Landon. The mushroom risotto was his favorite.:rotfl:

What is it with little boys throwing things they shouldn't in places where they shouldn't?!? :confused3 On Reid's 1st trip at Disney, we had (of course) bought him a cute set of Mickey ears. Actually, in Reid's case, I almost think that makes sense...I've never met a toddler yet who really enjoys wearing mouse ears. Maybe Reid was hoping to be rid of them for good! I think Landon's starting to understand the importance of not throwing Tigger. A couple days ago we ate lunch at a restaurant on the water and Landon was dangling Tigger over the edge. I told him to be careful not to drop Tigger, cause we'd never get him back and Landon goes trotting over to my Dooney bag and sticks Tigger inside, where he'd be safe! :rotfl:

I think I liked the risotto even better than I liked the filet! It was a really nice dinner for us, and it really helped to be with other families. I wouldn't mind a bit if every place we went segregated those with children and those without.

Really like this pic with the flag flying over the castle! I never noticed how many flags there are all over the tops of the buildings before.

Thanks! I love that picture, too. The castle looks even more majestic with all the flags framing it. I love all the little details at Disney World.
