An Unforgettable Finish- Oct 2011 TR **Happily Ever After (Completed 5/3)

Hmmm.. Maybe I shouldn't have judged all of the baby care centers based on my MK experience, huh? Interesting to see you don't care for that one either. The noisy, smelly, and uncomfy-for-nursing chairs made me skip even looking at the rest. Oh well.

Loved that Carter made your plans. He's so sweet. Landon's "Doggie!" was just adorable, too. What a nice time around MK. I may need some driving lessons from Landon, btw. What an awesome job he did! :thumbsup2

Glad naptime began without much trouble, too!

What a nice, relaxing evening in MK! :thumbsup2 Although, I'm sorry you didn't get to eat dinner at Columbia Harbor House. I remember you saying before that you really like that place. I'm thinking about giving it a try in Oct. At least the boys were entertained at Cosmic Ray's. I actually love the rotisserie chicken & green beans there! So, how was the cake pop?

same thing happened to us with getting to CHH after 5! Luckily we got to Pinnochio before 6!

Well, it may not have been the afternoon you expected to have, but it sounded very, very nice.

Sorry about CHH, but it sounds like Sonny Eclipse put on a good show at Cosmic Rays. :lmao:

That really looks like a nice, relaxing afternoon. I usually want to do as many things as we can, but I always enjoy those moments when we just find a spot in the parks to just sit, relax and people watch.

I've never really understood why they close some of the QS places in the MK so early. I guess it makes about as much sense as the Tomorrowland Terrace. Has anyone actually ever seen it open?:confused3 :lmao: At least you found some food and Landon enjoyed Sonny Eclipse. Much better than his lunch attitude.

Jeremy and Borsie both had the slightly amused, but indulgent look that non-Disneyphiles get when observing one of us crazies.
I have no idea what you're talking about. I've never experienced that look before. :rolleyes1

When it was my turn to order, I still hadn't decided exactly, so I ordered a chocolate cake pop with yellow sprinkles.
Hmm... is this going to be another dessert endorsed by PirateKate?

I don't know if you watch the show, The Big Bang Theory, but one of the main characters is forever saying, "I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested." And when I saw that in your update, I laughed out loud.

BTMRR is always a pretty fun way to spend a MK afternoon, but hanging out on a sleigh letting Landon play was probably entertaining, as well. He looked like he was having a good time.

Sounds like a lovely, lazy afternoon in the kingdom. It's too bad you had to walk all the way to Cosmic Ray's to find dinner, but at least the entertainment was toddler-approved!

"I'm not crazy. My mother had me tested."

Sheldon Cooper? Is that you? (Not sure if you meant for this to be a Big Bang reference, but I saw a repeat the other day where he said the same thing! Love that show!)

What a great night! Sure, you didn't get much 'done' and you were foiled by some early closings, but it sounds like everyone enjoyed themselves. (Plus, I know from experience that any night that nothing 'noteworthy' happens with little boys is a great night!)

Sometimes just sitting around at Disney and just watching everyone go by and do their thing is the best! It's nice to just stop and soak it all in every once in a while! :cool1:

Ugh, that's too bad CHH and Pinocchio's were closed so early, but Cosmic Ray's is good! I loved that rotisserie chicken when we went there! :thumbsup2

The castle looks beautiful at night, I especially love when it's purple! :lovestruc

I really need to try a Disney cake pop! Have you had one from Starbucks? They are amazing!

I think the Baby Care Centers get progressively better with each park they built. I'm still kind of hoping that maybe the Fantasyland expansion will include a new super good Baby Care Center. It would be much more convenient in Fantasyland and they could make it more like the Animal Kingdom's. Your boys are probably too old for Baby Care Centers now, I guess, although they'd probably enjoy the room with the movie, if they didn't mind that it was called a Baby Center.

I love talking Disney with Carter. He's very smart and has good ideas. Landon's realized now that not all animals are doggies. Oh, well, it was cute while it lasted. Landon's going to be an amazing driver when he's older.

Me too! You never know how naptime will go.

We ended up having a pretty good night, even if we didn't do much. I love the Columbia Harbour House and it was right after they had gotten the new menu items, so I really was hoping to go there. Can't beat Cosmic Ray's for toddler entertainment. We always go there now, whenever the boys are extra tired or grumpy. Maybe I'll give the chicken another chance sometime.

There is place in the World that I enjoy having some down time more than Liberty Square! I usually make a few purchases in the Christmas store and then grab a bench outside to admire them and the scenery! I still can't get over how grown up Landon looks with his haircut!:goodvibes

CHH is our favorite too but CR's is a close second!

What an awesome evening. (Although I'm sure you could have done without the baby on the back for so long, huh?) :rotfl:

There is a difference between CRAZY and PASSIONATE. None of us are crazy, it's the people that DON'T understand that are the crazy ones! :lmao:

That stinks that your plans were foiled when both CHH and Pinocchio's Village Haus were closed! I agree, sometimes it is frustrating because the restaurants at MK can close early. At least Cosmic Ray's worked out. If anything, it's a good old standby, because they're always open.

same thing happened to us with getting to CHH after 5! Luckily we got to Pinnochio before 6!

I can't believe how early CHH closes sometimes. I'm glad you all made it to Pinocchio's before six. I guess Cosmic Ray's worked out well for us, thanks to Sonny Eclipse.

Well, it may not have been the afternoon you expected to have, but it sounded very, very nice.

Sorry about CHH, but it sounds like Sonny Eclipse put on a good show at Cosmic Rays. :lmao:

It really was a nice afternoon. Not something I'd ever have planned, but I guess on longer trips it's nice to be able to take it easy sometimes.

Sonny Eclipse was great for the boys! Landon was really enjoying that show.

I guess I don't mind sitting around at Disney World. I always kind of feel like I can do whatever I like at any given moment. We don't always get a lot done, but we usually have a pleasant time.

I don't understand why they close some of the QS places so early, either. I guess I could see closing them a few hours before the park closes, but they could at least stay open during dinner time. The Tomorrowland Terrace makes no sense at all, too. If I ever do see it open, I'm stopping for sure! Landon did way better for dinner than he did for lunch, but he had had the benefit of a second nap and first class dinner entertainment.

I'm willing to bet every DISer in the world has seen that look!

I do have a knack for finding lots of Disney desserts...

I don't know if you watch the show, The Big Bang Theory, but one of the main characters is forever saying, "I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested." And when I saw that in your update, I laughed out loud.

I love the Big Bang Theory! Sheldon's hilarious! We say "I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested" a lot around here. :rotfl:

BTMRR would have been fun, but Landon really did have fun playing on the sleigh. Any place with steps or climbing and he's happy for a long time.

Sounds like a lovely, lazy afternoon in the kingdom. It's too bad you had to walk all the way to Cosmic Ray's to find dinner, but at least the entertainment was toddler-approved!

It was a really nice afternoon. Sometimes, it's fun just to be there. That walk to Cosmic Ray's was way too long with Landon on my shoulders, but Sonny Eclipse was great. It's worth eating there just for keeping the boys entertained during the meal.

Sheldon Cooper? Is that you? (Not sure if you meant for this to be a Big Bang reference, but I saw a repeat the other day where he said the same thing! Love that show!)

It was definitely meant to be a Big Bang Theory reference! That show is one of my favorites. I love Sheldon and the episodes are still good, each time I see them.

It really was a pretty good night. We didn't do anything, but we still had some fun. That's very true, any night with the boys were nothing happens can be considered a success!

I really need to try a Disney cake pop! Have you had one from Starbucks? They are amazing!

I could sit around at the Magic Kingdom for hours, just watching people and enjoying the atmosphere. There's something magical about being there and taking the time to appreciate it.

I've had the rotisserie chicken once before and I thought it was pretty good, too, but rotisserie chicken in general just isn't one of my favorites. Lately, I've had trouble finding the right thing to order at Cosmic Rays, which is too bad since the boys love it there.

The castle at night is so amazing! I could sit and watch it change colors for hours, too.

I've never had the cake pops from Starbucks. I try to limit things like that to at Disney only. Otherwise, it'd be very tempting to get into the habit of stopping by Starbucks every afternoon for cake pops and a latte.

I've been lurking for a while and enjoying your trip report but had to post after your most recent update. Big Bang Theory reference!!! :lmao: Love it.

For those that aren't Big Bang Theory fans here is a youtube link to a clip from the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjluRCKL8R4

Welcome! I'm glad you decided to un-lurk! Big Bang Theory is such a great show, isn't it?

Thanks for the clip! No matter how many times Sheldon says it, it just never gets old. :rotfl:

CHH is our favorite too but CR's is a close second!

I love that Christmas store, but it's hard to go in without making way too many purchases. I always want almost everything I see in there! Liberty Square is one of my favorite parts of the Magic Kingdom. I know, Landon's haircut made such a big difference in how old he looked, didn't it? It was almost hard to recognize him.

I guess for us, CR's is a distant second! Landon would probably disagree with me, though.

What an awesome evening. (Although I'm sure you could have done without the baby on the back for so long, huh?) :rotfl:

There is a difference between CRAZY and PASSIONATE. None of us are crazy, it's the people that DON'T understand that are the crazy ones! :lmao:

It was a fun night, but I definitely could have done without the extended piggy back ride. Landon was enjoying himself, though, so that was something.

Sometimes, there's a very fine line between crazy and passionate. I agree, non-Disney people must be crazy!

That stinks that your plans were foiled when both CHH and Pinocchio's Village Haus were closed! I agree, sometimes it is frustrating because the restaurants at MK can close early. At least Cosmic Ray's worked out. If anything, it's a good old standby, because they're always open.

I was disappointed when CHH was closed, but to have Pinocchio's closed, too, was unusually bad luck. I guess I learned something very important that day, though, because now I always check the guide to see what time all the restaurants close.

Everytime I see pictures of the boys meeting characters, I get such a warm feeling inside. They are so adorable and just look so happy to meet them. That's what it's all about. :goodvibes

Your cake pop sounds really tasty. May be on my list of treats to get in the future.
