Right now i'm currently at toyrus.com the reason being my friend has her baby registry on that site. I found out today that apparently i cannot purchase from that site as i am in canada. I called the 1 888 number and was told by a live representative that basically:

1) I cannot purchase directly from the site
2) I cannot purchase a gift card from the site
both due the fact that my address is canadian and it only accepts us address's and my credit card info HAS to match
3) I cannot use a canadian gift card on the us site but i can use a us gift card on the canadian site
4) I cannot phone in my order because she cannot take a credit card over the phone

She gave me an option my only one apparently:

"The only option you have is to get your friend to buy it first and pay her back later"

I was like "you want me to get my friend to buy her own baby gifts?"
Basically at this point the only option i have now is either i get my DBF to purchase a gift card for me from the states (where he currently is) or i buy from the canadian store and ship everything down to her (at extra cost)

When their stores open up again i'll be trying the following options:

1) Calling the US number again and making sure that i cannot do any of the above 4 options.
2) Calling the Canada number and seeing if they have any idea's
3) Calling her store directly and seeing if i can just purchase directly from them

and if all else fails, i will be asking DBF to buy me a gift card and really hoping he has the time to do it.

Toys R Us is the worst store known to man. My advice is to find a great independent toy or baby store in her area and organize something with them. They will often do customized baby baskets or something. You could also do a board book gift basket from amazon. I can give you a list of my kids top 5 favourite board books.

According to the UPS website, one of my shoe shipments was delivered. I am anxious to get home to try them out!

This morning I woke up and msged my friend and she let me know that she had talked to them and found out that....

Basically no one from canada can buy from her registry.
Apparently it has something to do with canada and usa and how toys r us are separate and stuff like that. They lady did tell her that sometimes "MAYBE" the manager might take the order directly over the phone but that depends completely on the store and if the manager wants to do that.

So instead i drove to my local toys r us with the print out of her registry and basically found out that they carried almost nothing on the list. I phoned her on my cell and we talked and walked around the store and the very nice toys r us lady found TWO items on the list!

OH!! lol you know for a while there I was imagining books made of checkerboards and snakes and ladders. I think i was thinking more of boardgame books lol

Lady Lallie: I love love love baby things, i can't wait to have my own and spoil him/her rotten! I have already figured out her bday gifts from 2 years and onwards i told my friend already, annual passes to disneyland for the three of them!

I REALLY need to get back on track here about disneyworld but before I can do that I have to plan my Disneyland trip and BEFORE that I apparently have a trip to oregon!

Basically DBF and I have been going to oregon for the past 2 years in August, the first year we went to astoria, crater lake and seaside and canon beach. We LOVED seaside and felt really jipped about the fact that we barely spent any time there at all. Therefore last year we went to JUST seaside.

Because we are basically delaying our disneyland trip to probably November (maybe october) DBF wants to go away for a 3-4 night vacation a short one to either Banff/Calgary or Oregon again.

So besides the fact that I basically have 3 trips right not lined up about 2 months apart EACH and everything is not in the least bit planned

We are going to set the dates in stone for disneyland once he returns, Also I talked to DBF about the prices of disneyworld and why i'm hiding from them and he said that as long as he was working cost wasn't too much of an issue. But he also brought up staying offsite the HORROR! I set him straight on that issue though.

Disneyworld wise i'm hoping to set the dates in stone by about sept/oct LATEST! I'm pretty occupied with my planning of other trips, the baby thats due on sept 2! and work. So i'm not too agitated about the waiting for the dates. I think that at the end of the day everything will work out and we'll have an awesome trip!

Lady lallie! I will take so many pictures just for this trip report that my camera will cry for mercy! On the bright side I should be taking the trip to oregon in about 1-2 weeks so i'll have that to post about soon.

I'm glad someone doesn't mind that my trip report has had nothing to do with disneyworld for the past 3 pages .

All that excitement for NOTHING! but i am using the pretty letterhead to send my vacation request for disney to my manager! She'll get a kick out of it, even though it printed kinda crooked.

My friend gave birth last night to a daughter!
Both of them are healthy and she was born on Aug 19th,2008
She's 20 inches long and very teeny tiny.

It's been a long time since i've posted but i've just been sleeping and working and eating. I got my Disneyparks DVD in the mail yesterday and i'm planning on watching it with DBF when he comes back on the weekend.

Only 5 more work days till my mini vacation to the states
We will be travelling down to Seattle, Portland, and somewhere else as we plan on going to the Roseburg (i think that's what it is called) zoo. Once DBF gets back we're going to throw the whole trip together. I can't wait! I might be able to convince him to go down an extra day.

Our plan Tentatively was Seattle, Portland and the Roseburg Zoo
But now that i started looking at things in oregon i think we may skip seattle altogether and just do an all Oregon trip.
DBF Loves driving on the coast and we both LOVE seaside. And i just found out about the aquarium at newport OR which i really would like to go too.

Of course this may all change depending on, when we decide to leave, hotel availabilty and how not to leave about 10 hours of driving to one day where DBF refuses to let me sleep in the car even though i'm exhausted and FORCES me to stay awake with him even though i'm not driving. I was actually getting REALLY annoyed at him, because everytime i just ALMOST fell asleep he would wake me up and be mad at me for sleeping. Then when i told him about it recently this was his response "I must of been joking with you" And i was like "um..no you were not..." I know this because everytime he would wake me up he would be annoyed and say this:

"You can't sleep, i'm tired too and if i fall asleep we'll crash and die. SO i need you to stay awake with me"

Basically he just wanted me to suffer with him because i was NOT talking to him or doing anything to prevent him from falling asleep as i was half dead myself.
