An PTR about Waiting And other Dictionary Defined Terms Now w/PICS!

Hi again! I have no musical ability either, I just pretend too :rotfl:
Aww shucks...thanks :goodvibes I'm reading through your pre trip report and I must say,
you and your husband look so happy together and you have even eyebrows to boot!
Ooh and a side point, YOU USE SPIFFY TOO! I say spiffeh all the time and piffies! xD
Thanks for reading my PTR! I have been having a lot of fun writing it. My DH and I are very happy, I am a very lucky gal!! :goodvibes I love using weird words, spiffy, fantabulou and meh, are among some of my favorites right now. :thumbsup2

Hi again Lady lallie!
I like saying spiffeh! Ooh i wanted to show you some pics of my favourite cats at the cat shelter i volunteer at. I'm in LOVE with them, there's a cat that looks like sully, i'm going to try to get a picture of him tonight when i volunteer to show you.

This is Bonnie Boy, cause he was named bonnie then recently we found out he was actually a he not a she so we added boy to make him feel manly. He is one crazy cat, he's fast as lightning and the most curious cat ever.
Image040.jpg

And this is Jerry, he's just so gosh darned cute.
Jerry.jpg

Oh my gosh!! They are super cute. I love that you added boy to Bonnie. :rotfl: I am a sucker for kitties. My little Ruby is posessed, her new favorite past time is scaling doors and sitting on the top of the door. She is a weirdo. :3dglasses

Lady lallie, I'm in love with kitties too, hence why I have 40 pictures from disneyland and about 500 pictures of cats.

Ruby is so cute, cat's have the funniest antics. I can just watch them all day.

Soprano is my favorite kitty of all time right now, but she's a brat. Her past time include yelling at cats (she steps forward to get close to their face and then meows loudly), smacking them, sitting in boxes, and if a tail gets in her face she'll bite it. :headache: She does not like other cats, but she does LOVE humans, with me she loves to talk, headbutt and be petted and fed.
Image060.jpg

Usually her eyes aren't opened so wide so she has this scowl on her face.
IMGP1045.jpg

And here's another picture of bonnie boy, i love it cause he looks like a lion! He's on the prowl

Today I woke up ready to purchase my 4 day park hoppers, but then I hit a

snag -
3. An unforeseen or hidden obstacle.

The website Arestravel, needs the date that I will be arriving. I called them and asked them if it was necessary and they said that the pick up booth basically holds my tickets for 7 days. So I need to know within 7 days of when i'll be arriving. :faint:

Which basically leaves me doing this :bored: until DBF comes back and confirms with me. He comes back the last week of august, leaving me 1 week maybe? to plan our disney trip. I'm getting kind of

frus·trat·ed-
disappointingly unsuccessful; "disappointed expectations and thwarted ambitions"; "their foiled attempt to capture Calais"; "many frustrated poets end as pipe-smoking teachers"; "his best efforts were thwarted"

Even though i know i should be

un·der·stand·ing
-
kind, sympathetic, or tolerant towards people

At the fact that I have all these hopes for going to disney yet I keep being

thwart·ed -
. To prevent the occurrence, realization, or attainment of: They thwarted her plans.

by DBF's work schedule. He's a workaholic by nature and he does put his work first and foremost and I know that. I just get very frusterated when it comes down to making plans cause they are ALWAYS last min.

Summary of Tentative Disney Trips:
1)Disneyland Sept/Oct 2008 - On hold due to no exact dates
2)Disneyworld Jan 2009 - On hold due to no exact dates

Soprano does have a glare! Wow! Sulley has one of those too. Evil Kitties. I have been fighting with Sulley the last few days trying to comb out his snarls and cut them out. I had to shave him two summers ago and I really don't want to do it again. Last year I was able to win the battle, I am not so sure this year!

I hate waiting! I am just as impatient as you are. I am already fretting about 2009 Trip to Disney. It's killing me that I can't book it today since the 2009 package prices came out this morning!

Hi again Lady Lallie! Shaved cats are super cute though. Combing/cutting snarls out is a pain. There's this one cat that whenever he cleans himself he just ends up leaving sticky chunks of fur that sticks out. :confused3 I usually distract him with pets and food while i snip out the mats and comb out his fur. Good luck with your battle!

I really wish I could just book something for my trips so it becomes tangible, if you know what I mean. I guess right now even though i'm sure I can go it's not "real" to me until i have something booked.

Yesterday, during my nap (yes I nap when I can) DBF called me and we went over vaguely about the trip. I was half asleep and getting annoyed that he was asking me the same questions over and over. Then he sensed I was annoyed so we just ended the conversation.

Fast foward a couple hours, and DBF has called me again. He had felt bad about how we had left the conversation before and basically told me that he would take me to disneyland for sure. He just had to wait for dates. :goodvibes

Yesterday on the disneyland board, a very generous dis'er was giving out entertainment cards for Howard Johnson. I was kind of oblivious to what it was but it's a discounted rate for HOJO's. :woohoo: Well of course HOJO's has to have room available at that rate too. But HOJO's is SOOOO close to disneyland. Even closer than the hotel i was planning to book. :yay:

On a side note, Neck pain is killing me right now. To the extent that I couldn't sleep the night before and last night. There was not a single position that didn't hurt. If the pain doesn't subside by tomorrow, i'm going to see a doctor.

I hope your neck is feeling better!! I am not feeling well today either. Blech.

I think you will feel much better once your trip is booked and you can really start planning!!

Hi again Lady Lallie! I hope you feel better soon too  Your only 3 weeks away! :cool1: I can't wait to start planning our trip, i've already started thinking about matching t-shirts, and gift baskets and all those extra's along with what to do etc. Just need dates now so I can plan more.

It's currently 12:17am and I have to work a graveyard shift in 2 hours. I haven't slept at all and I can't fall asleep :faint: I'll look like that tomorrow. I was just lying in bed thinking about my disney trip(s)

Disneyworld:
I got some quotes and the prices are  I'm thinking now for sure probably going to do POP as one of the resorts. I'm going to look more into mods and i really have to start weighing if the DDXP is worth it. I'll have to start looking at menu's and figuring it out. Also I'm debating whether or not to do a split stay as I hear that that costs more than not doing a split stay?

Airfare wise, DBF is going to try to save up his points to get us there for free, if not my dad might be able to escort us down.

I still have SO much planning to do regarding Disneyworld, ADRS to figure out, Hotel, our budget.

Disneyland:
I'm pretty much waiting for dates, I'll be asking for time off from my manager tonight. I know which hotel to book, just waiting for the HOJO's entertainment card to see if that is an option for us. Eating wise, we'll probably eat offsite for breakfast and counter service's like last time. If i decide to splurge maybe a character meal or Blue bayou. I'm thinking of getting DBF to rent a car instead, he's apparently a emerald club member at National now and it would be more convienent. I'm thinking if we spend an extra night 4 nights instead of 3 i'll do universal for a day as long as we have a car. (Last time i got sick at universal and spent the whole day in the first aid area sleeping)

Aifare: My dad had agreed to come with us down and back up so basically we will be flying standby.

Tickets: I've decided on purchasing from Arestravel for 179 per ticket for a 4 day park hopper. I was debating three days but if we get there early i'll want to go to the parks for sure, and it's a 10 dollar difference. :thumbsup2

Budget:
Tickets - 179 x 2
Hotel - 250 (3-4nights estimate)
Airfare - 200 (estimate)
Car Rental - (this is still a possiblity have to look into it)
Travel Insurance - $20 for me, DBF has a all year thing

Total: $828

The airfare and hotel are an estimate atm as well. I'm actually aiming to get this trip under 350 per person.

Considering Last year we paid 1648 for tickets/aifare/hotel for 4 nights and 3 day park hoppers. I've saved us about $800 :cool1:

I am doing a split stay this time around. The only thing that I had to pay for that I didn't want too was in order to get the dining plan with both parts of our trip, I had to buy a 1 Day Park Ticket. That was okay with me though, because I get to stay in two resorts plus we won't use that 1 Day Park Ticket on our trip. The first portion of our trip staying at Pop Century for 4 nights is a 7 day ticket which won't expire while we are staying at Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights. Make sense? We can use that 1 Day ticket anytime we want, we can even add more days on it to stay another time. I love a good excuse to go back to Disney. :thumbsup2

Hey Lady Lallie! Ooh i will look into the split stay further. You need to adopt a stitch. It's so much fun! http://www.disneyland-stitch.com/site/stitch_uk.html I got it from another board. It's hilarious.

Ooh and i finally got around to taking pictures of the cat that kinda looks like sully. I don't know it's name though.

IMGP1074.jpg

IMGP1073.jpg

Now that I can actually compare the two of them side by side almost, Sully has longer fur around his face and has green eyes and is cuter xD:goodvibes

Oh! He looks like Sulley though! His expression and his face. Very cute. :-)

I am going to go to that stitch website right now! :goodvibes

Hi disney angel! Welcome :thumbsup2 feel free to chat ;) it'll be less lonely this way :rotfl: You should get a stitch too, it's hilarious.

Hi again lady lallie! you only have less than 3 weeks to go! :cool1: When i first saw the picture of sully it reminded me of that cat right away. I'll try to find out it's name for you. xD

Stitch it So cute lol, so far he'd eaten my mouse once and jumps up and drags my mouse down. Of course my stitch is "well-behaved"

Today i got my dad to check out the prices of airfare for me and
here is the total:

Total: $277.86 :dance3:

More than my original estimate, but WAY better than the almost $900 quotes i've been getting. For three of us both ways.

Hotel:
I'm leaning towards HOJO's at the entertainment rate over Quality inn which i had originally picked. I read somewhere on the boards that with the Entertainment card the preferred Disneyland view room was $79 (Let me know if i'm wrong) It's close to Mimi's which has great reviews and close to disney as well.

I think my budget will need to be reworked again.

Once again it's 12:18am and i STILL haven't slept for my graveyard shift. I think i'm out to kill myself.

On another note, i'm working this weekend both sat and sun at the new part time job. I feel very unmotivated to work but it'll be another $80 for disney. I'll think of it as paying off one night of the hotel and a dole whip!

I found some pretty good rates at the Candy Cane Inn when we were thinking of going to Disneyland in February. Have you checked them out?? I read good reviews too. :goodvibes j
I can't wait for a Dole Whip!

Ooh I will look into the Candy Cane Inn today. I want to look into the hotels and see if i can find any better deals. :thumbsup2

Mm dole whips are so good, i want to try the dole whip float this time though. :)

I found the Candy Cane Inn through their own website. It was pretty affordable, at least to me it seemed that way. It seemed really nice too, it was a smaller hotel so more intimate. :thumbsup2

I've never had a dole whip but I plan too in four weeks. ;)

I've already started planning my 2009 trip today. :lmao:

:woohoo: Lady Lallie! How lucky, i wish i could plan my trip more. I can't wait to hear your trip report when you get back.

I looked up prices of Candy Cane Inn on expedia and found it and now it's gone? :confused3 I checked the website and it's $102/night which is more than i want to pay :rolleyes1

Hojo's is 123/night but i'm waiting for the entertainment card to show up.
If not then i'll probably go with a hotel in the $50-60 range. The walk is longer but last time we stayed at the pavillions and apparently that was half a mile. but it felt like nothing.

I think the only vague thing i remember about walking a lot was, Getting really really pissed off at DBF for dragging me from best western pavillions all the way to past dessert inn and suites to get bad chinese food.
