An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Hi, Liesa. Hope you had a nice dinner with your hubba hubba. ;)

I'm sitting here drinking hot tea with lemon hoping it will help my throat that is on fire (and I HATE tea...so I'm really sick if I'm drinking this stuff).

You are just too organized for me. :scared1:

Great packing list. I can't think of anything you are omitting. Loved your blog post about the camels. I commented :goodvibes

Hey, I just thought of a little something I'll bring you for the meet up in Aug/Sept. Since you said this item was a little out of your price range, I just can't let you pass up on such a good thing. ;)

I would like to request a picture of you in Germany!! :goodvibes

And I wil have a look at your packing lists, but they look great so far. Only one thing: I always put in a change of underwear in my carry on luggage. I once had to wait 24 hours for a suitcase to arrive!! :scared1:

Off to check out the blog now!!

Hey Liesa! I've been keeping up to date on my planning period whilst subbing this last week, but its too cumbersome to actually post responses on my phone. I'm not very nimble with that, and it takes me forever! So, here I am, back at the computer, with time to type - yay!

Minnie's lookin' good. So, explain to me how you got all these "disigns"? I don't really understand how that board works.

Cool that you are able to add another Dismeet during the trip. I sure wish we were going the same time:sad2:

I got mentioned! :woohoo:

:rotfl: That's exciting for me.

Okay, please forgive me because I'm being lazy and not looking back at your packing list...I just wanted to say to pack hand sanitizer and baby wipes! They both come in handy when eating at CS places! The baby wipes are great for cleaning your table when you sit down. :thumbsup2

Mickey Mouse is a true hero- the quintessescential manly-man. One look no further than to observe how he cares and provides for his lovely lady Minnie, and how he regularly saves the day in his nearly century-long film career. Who else could so deftly conquer the collection of Disney villians with pyrotechnics spewing from his hands?

Therefore, drafting Mickey into the intelligence and war documenting departement of this regiment, I have every confiedence that no detail of this enthralling campaingn of ours will be lost in action.

Mickey is, as all manly-men should be, modest and humble. I had a coax him out of hiding (yes, I hide my Disney toys) for his debut. He even let me try out the new body x-ray machines, so you could see what's under his covers. You can try one out too at your local airport in the near future. Doesn't that thrill you?

Now without further ado, I introuduce the one,

the ONLY,

THE MICKEY!!

I can't tell you how much I've agonized over what to include in his content. His purpose has a fundamental difference from Minnie, in that Mickey serves promarily as a journal, info. tabulating, jot it down, organizational super-stud tool. Mickey comes with an accessory that Minnie does not- a pen. I wish my husband came with a permanently afixed pen, as well- maybe he could remember my birthday, our anniversary, or my brother-in-law's name?

OK, back to his content: being that it's mainly a note taking journal, I also thought it appropriate to reserve that first page for a "quick fact's" page. Since, the Mickey model is the one who will be my constant, hands-on, go-to, trip companion, I figured he'd be the more accessible, and available one during those stressful airline check-ins or resort arrival moments. Open up Mickey, and voila!, thar she blows; a concise, and ever so handy, "quick facts" page.

As for the rest of Mickey's innards, you'll have to regularly report for duty to see what treasures lie within.

Before, I say over and out, my dear comrades, I want to remind you that I've put out the call for any and all favors for Minnie's "Extras" section. (No, not that Extras section- as far as I know, she's a pretty faithful playmate to Mickey). I've had some come in, and they've been added- but I"m certainly open to getting prices on stuff at shops, checking out a menu, mailing a coconut to Aunt Ida (on your dime), or best yet, checking for quality assurance in Lapu-Lapus. Just let me know... I"ve got hellos to say, light fictures to fixate on, and German photos to take with friends. :goodvibes

And with that, I'll say Auf Wiedersehen!!!

I have to tell you that your organization kinda makes me want to puke a little!

;)

Your trip is gonna be amazing!

I know it's like a little over-the-top redundant, but hey, better to have too much than not enough. :lmao:

You have been sudying German! :goodvibes I am sure that you will be fluent by August!! :thumbsup2:lmao:

Mickey looks great. I think it is a great idea to have the vital information in the fron! :thumbsup2

Ich gewesen bin!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'll need that vital information in front of Mickey (just like I need Google Translator! ).:rotfl2:

I bow to your organization skills...:worship::worship:

Don't bow too low, take a look at your tag...

Greasy beef-noodle soup- meh. But we did enjoy watching the macho wannabes do the electronic punching bag thing. We think one guy might have broken his wrist. :sad2: Cheap entertainment.

It's Monday AM, Hope you're feeling lots better now!

Not overly organized, just utterly forgetful. :lmao:

I'll have to go look at your comment!! It's a RARE occurence when someone does that! :thumbsup2 THANKS!!

hmmm.... what could it be?? Remember, I have a little something for you too.... that prize you won for the last game!

I'm packing now :thumbsup2...oh...such good choices!!! :goodvibes

those are only a VERY small fraction of the TS and CS places we'll be raiding. I wish they hadn't put that 3 month "finish your dining report" rule in place on the Dining Reviews board. I might have done a Dining Report over there. :headache:

That, my friend, can easily (but not cheaply) be arranged. We could probably come up with some fun and goofy stuff too. But I have to clarify.... are you talking about WS Germany? or the REAL DEAL??

YES! I will definitely have a complete change of clothes in there! Esp. since I might go swimming before my luggage arrives.

No problem, Rebecca! I know you're here. :goodvibes Glad you found some time to play on the real computer though. It's always fun to hear from you.

I was just looking around on the Fun Boards one day, and found just what I was looking for. They were there when I searched for Journal Covers. I think they may have been a Thread Title even. :confused3 I just clicked Save Target As, and plopped it on my desktop. I think if you ask those DISigners they will even customize them for you, given enough lead time.

Me too! It would be really, really fun to meet you. ARe you sure you don't have to be in DC on August 29th for your TA business?? ::yes::

I always pack a change of clothes in my carryon just in case !!!

Yes! Good idea!

I got mentioned! :woohoo:

That's a great idea too! I called my mom a couple weeks ago, and gave her a big long list of items I need her to pick up for me for hte trip. Those were on it, as well as travel sized EVERTHING!

I feel like I need to come up with a name for my itinerary sheet now. ;)

Good idea to put that informational page in front of Mickey, I am sure you will find that VERY handy. :goodvibes

Well, if I have to confess, it only has a name because I wanted the front decorated with something, and that's the clipart that most appealed to me (and matched the paper). :rotfl: Nothing too intentional there. :lmao:

If that front page eases only .0001% of my stress, then it was worth the 10 minutes in making it. ;)

Okay, that makes me feel a little better.

The only phrase you need to know:

Ich mochte Mickey kopfs. ;)

googling now. Oh wait, I"ve been studying German... eh, hmmm... :lmao:

I liked Mickey head---- exactly as it said.

I think Google Translator needs some help... cuz, that's about as good as I can do in Blankistani. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

I love all your planning books. So cute! I never manage to find the time to do anything like that. I'm lucky of mine make it out of the 2 prong file folders I "borrow" from work. :rotfl: I'm a bit in awe of everyone who makes such pretty folders.

Love the dancing girls in your siggy! :goodvibes

Thanks! I get a bit kick out of watching them shake. :)
