An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Real life????????/ On here Im a hot little, less than 5 ft tall, red headed lady.......In real life, Im a crusty, 74 year old bald fat man! My online life is much better than my real life!:rotfl2:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

I'd believe that except for hot mama picture sitting over there to the left of your post. :rotfl2: It's not showing the crap cloud though. Has that dissipated some??

Nah, the crap cloud is still there. DH's Grandfather seems to be getting worse. We are planning on heading to Pittsburgh next weekend.....if everything stays the same. If he starts to go downhill too fast we will head up during the week. We are getting the house in order to leave quick. I believe my brother will be staying here at our house while we are gone. Its just crappy timing! I guess there's never a "right" time for all of this though! We shall survive, we just hope everything goes fast for him.

Just caught up on your blog....I was waaaay behind. So it looks like the older girls went to the May 9th celebrations with your friendly neighbor?

I could go for some shashlik right now, I've never tasted it, but it's gotta be pretty good. Wait, what animal does it come from again?

No, nothing like this is ever "convenient", is it? And Yes, I do agree, sometimes we can hope that our loved ones won't suffer long. :hug: I've always wondered how much our modern medical system prolongs things more than necessary? That's to say, I haven't resolved this in my mind, but I do think about it.

Well, they didnt' go with the ones who stole the land, but actually sort of ran into the ones who called my househelper "an American slave" at my birthday party. I don't even think she meant to be hurtful, but sometimes they the feelings of others just get trampled on here. :headache: Whatever. My househelper needs to learn to stand up for herself, too.

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

J/K!! I'm beginning to realize that the word shashlik really refers more to the cooking method (over wood coals) than the type of flesh. You can get beef (most prevalent), pork (only in the Russian places), sheep (the most tender), chicken (the most frequently undercooked, careful on this one), liver (my personal favorite), ground beef (called Lula kabobs), or even fish (very uncommon).

OK I missed something somewhere. Only the 3 younger children are going to Germany? I thought all 7 of you were leaving Blankastan at the same time for the USA (via Germany). I'm confuzzled!

I thought they were one-and-the-same neighbor. I guess I'm glad to hear that it takes two people to be that much of a pain.

Since beef is the most prevalent, I'm in. Even your pig head picture wouldn't scare me off from a pork one though.

Don't feel bad...you aren't the only one. And be prepared...we will be told that we are SKIMMERS! :rotfl:

Ooops, sorry, Heidi, I should have explained our logistics one more time. My two oldest kids are both leaving Blankistan in June, right after my son's graduation. Andrew will be going directly to Bowling Green, where he'll be going to WKU (Western Kentucky U), and Bek will be going to move in with my DH's Dad (DFIL) in Salem, Oregon, for the summer to take a couple community college classes. Then she'll move back in with us when we get there in Sept.

That leaves the rest of us here until August 17th, where we'll all leave (the 5 of us) for the US (various places at various times) stopping in Germany.

Make sense???

Makes perfect sense! Thanks for the 411 :cool2:

OK, glad we got that all cleared up! :rotfl2: I know, it's seriously complicated.

I'm pretty sure Kathy accused me of skimming over on Tim's thread first. ;):lmao: Mine was a brain fart though, not skimming. Which may be just as bad. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

:sad2: Sad to say, I must come out of the closet and admit to being a skimmer. That's why I don't post more - I'd say something stupid fer sure. :upsidedow So little time, so many special PTR's to follow!! And a certain blog to keep up with! :thumbsup2

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Well, when you've had as many kids as me, and you're like over 40 or so, skimming and brain farts are all rolled up into one craptastic package.

Well, you have me on the amount of kids (unless I count all of the ones from wrestling that call me "mom"); but I'm older than you by more than 10 years so I guess I'm allowed bigger brain fars and more skimming. :rotfl2:

You two!! You're making me laugh!

In fact, I think I"m getting punchy! I need to get some sleep, it's after midnight here. WE've had a long day. My daughter nearly put her eye out with a piece of wire int he garden today, I ran my Week 4 Day 2 run earlier, cooked up some wicked tasty Bulgogi :cloud9:, and crepes for dessert, worked on the quilt I'm selling, oh yeah, taught quilting today too, and introduced my kids to Peter, Paul and Mary. I've been listening to Puff the Magic Dragon for hours now. Time for bed!

Planning, eating and shopping? Sounds like a trip and pre-trip on the DIS!!! :rotfl2:
