An Invasion of a "STRANGER" Kind.... NEW THREAD IS UP!! Go Thee NOW!

Hello Liesa! :wave:

Love the prom pictures. :goodvibes

Your plans sound great per usual. I think seeing the flag lowering ceremony would be really neat. :thumbsup2

I really l wanted to go on the 11th- Sept. 11th, but it just wouldn't fit into the schedule- without park hopping.

Ah well, the 12th oughtta work too.

W1D2 was easier than W1D1!! Feeling GOOD!!

I'd fallen a bit behind, but I'm getting caught up now. All your plans are looking great. You have a wonderful balance of busy time and down time. The schedule is looking great!

I love your idea of going red too. Definitely do it if your so inclined. I started doing mine red a few years back, after wanting to do it for ages. Even my mom loved it, and she really doesn't like redheads. (Of course she went and married one, so I don't know what she was thinking there). I actually use two shades and mix them together, so it's not a super bright red. In the summer it's a mix of golden blonde and copper red. In the winter I have to darken up and use lt. brown and lt. red brown. Works great!

Hi Liesa, I am back in Berlin and at a computer, but still have lots of catching up to do...

40s were fun. Lots of kitchey idealism there.

Ask anyone in Europe and they will tell you the 40's were the decade in the last century that was the least fun! :scared1: That's how different perspectives can be. :goodvibes

Doesn't like redheads :scared1::confused::eek::scared1::confused::eek:

I feel like i'm not doing my job in the world...........looks like i'll be hosting my very own pity party today :sad::cheer2::sad:

Liesa.. you've been busted! (no not that bust :sad2: :lmao:)

Just got home from work.. again. When it rains it pours! Honestly, I'll take the pouring rain. :)

On a side note.. I've lost all my ambition on writing my TR. The next update is mostly pictures, so hopefully I'll get to that tonight. :confused3

Okay, so I am not cheering your lack of ambition but I am cheering the fact that I may be able to read and get caught up on your TR that I have been subscribed to for weeks!

Ok, I'll do my best! Hmmmmm witty banter to make you wipe hurled booger bombs from uproarious laughter off your screen.... let me think about it. I"m sure I can cough up something. You have done that right?? Just the other day, I "chuckled" through my nose and a snot blob came flying out. My poor son happened to be standing in the direct line of fire, and got grossed out. I have no idea why because no matter what I do, I can't get him to break the habit of picking and wiping them on his shirt. Whatever. I guess his first girlfriend can tell him that's gross.

Good start! That made me chuckle!

The valet starts cracking up, and sporting this far too wide grin on his ugly face and says, "Ummm... you might try unfastening your seatbelt."

Yup, my most clear memory of my prom. :scared1::lmao:

Here's what had me recalling one of my most embarrassing moments:

Your prom story made me laugh too! I bet you wanted to stay in the car and drive away! Nice photos!

WE GET TO GO TO DISNEY WORLD INSTEAD!!! :yay:

Woo-hoo!!!!! :banana::dance3:

I must say I find it rather depressing. :rotfl2: (ok, I know that was bad)

I prefer the 40's.

This made me laugh too (although it was pretty bad)!

You guys are on a roll today! I knew I could count on you!

You have a point. But I think the reason I 'like' (Thinking that maybe curious is a better word here) that era is because I know so little about it. :confused3

Works great!

I"m constantly falling behind everywhere... no worries.

Our schedule will most likely be toned down after we experience the reality of go-go-go... but on paper it's shaping up to be super fun!

Mixing... now that's something I haven't thought about! Hmmm....

I was thinking about you all DAY!! I'm so glad you're back..

Know WHY I was thinking about you??!!

Because something really wonderfully fun came in the mail today!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We will sit down and pour over it very soon. I even took pix to post here with the stamps, so that's coming up!

40's.... well, I meant fun in the sense of it's POP culture. The movies and music were wonderful- life itself was difficult at best.

Doesn't like redheads :scared1::confused::eek::scared1::confused::eek:

I feel like i'm not doing my job in the world...........looks like i'll be hosting my very own pity party today :sad::cheer2::sad:

NO pity parties allowed. Well. OK, if you'll allow me to whine about my sewer on a constant basis, then you can whine about being underappreciated in your redness. Which I happened to like. In fact, Missy Maam, you're half the reason I have convinced myself that I can look just as hot. ;)

Okay, so I am not cheering your lack of ambition but I am cheering the fact that I may be able to read and get caught up on your TR that I have been subscribed to for weeks!

Better start reading because we're just getting started! REminds me of Vizzini in Princess Bride when they have the duel of words... :lmao:

Did you blow snot wads?

Yeah, I never heard the end of that one. :sad2: What a dork.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I think going quite as red as you might not be the best color for me. Maybe needing more blonde in it. By the way, do you still have the same style too? Looks good in the avatar pic. :thumbsup2

Aw, they looked great at Prom! Sis had hers two weekends ago. Made me miss those days!

The color has always been the same Au naturale here baby! I did dye it once a few years ago....never again, never again. That picture I had actually straightened it. It's usually curly. I have some layers in it right now and its is about that length. I just cant seem to let it grow out. It is so thick that summers kill me. I usually end up cutting it all off every year! I want to try to let it grow for our trips this year! Ill try to get a current pic and post it!

High school was so fun, but I honestly think my college years were more fun. Then again, I have fewer memories, so not sure. Might have been the dance clubs that blur my recollections.... :confused3

Okay, the seat belt story had me cracking up. Glad you finally got some sleep. :rolleyes1

So, you guys are telling me I'm the only one who has a funny prom story??? Come on, fess up!!

Sleep is so overrated!

Speaking of which, I need some. I"ll meet ya all back here- same place, 11 hours from now...

Nite all.

Prom....ahhhh, prom! I went to the prom with my high school sweetheart. Here I am with my mom...(These are my natural curls with 14 lbs of hairspray):

I know, I'm hot! :rolleyes1

Stephen and I were both broke. We were each leaving for Basic Training right after graduation so we had ZERO money. Of course everyone was talking about going to these fancy dinners and stuff. Well, being the poor, fun people that we are.......we went to Dairy Queen! All dressed up, hair done, looking great and chowing down on Double Cheeseburgers and blizzards. It was great. Our school hosted After-Prom to discourage teen drinking and stuff. Naturally we ditched that and headed over to Virginia Beach. On our way, we hit Fast Food joint #2.....Good Ole Mickey D's! We got over to the beach and I headed straight into the ocean. So did he which was a pretty big mistake with a rented tux and all! oops! Prom was awesome. I dont think Ive ever seen so many pregnant people on the dance floor in my life! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Well stop by when you get a chance... I still have 7 more days to go. :lmao:

I don't think it was the dance clubs... maybe it was something served in those dance clubs. :confused3

No snot wads but definitely a good chuckle! I will wait for some of the infamous discussions that always happen on your thread before blowing snot wads!

Have a good night and see you in the AM!

:cool1: :thumbsup2

Here is my prom picture (with my mom - don't know that my boyfriend at the time would want his picture all over the internet):

I don't have an appropriate funny prom story to share. :rolleyes1
Nice pic....

I guess I am going to have to dig up mine. Now where are those pics?
