An Inconvenient Truth: happyhaunt Style! (New... pg. 113!)

o-kay......between Calvin & the 20,000 leagues story, then Beth and your tea-time togetherness.......I'm blubbering....(but don't tell my co-workers that it isn't because Alabama lost)

Should we keep the kleenex handy for a melancholy Tommy story next?????

Seriously.......good stuff.

Thanks for the tea pictures. I made my reservations for my girl and me to have tea in February. I can't wait to dig into those strawberries! I'm so glad you talked me into it. Looking forward to more! :)

Another great installment, Mel.

This is the second TR (Jami's was the first) that has convinced me that splitting up at Disney would be fun. The NM's have never done it. But those pictures have sealed the deal.

My daughter would think that was so special. I'll have to work that in to our next trip. What sweet memories you are making.

OK - the General's pronunciation of "phlegmy" was HILARIOUS!! I'll never say that word again without laughing. Of course that might be a while. It's not really in my everyday vocabulary.

Thanks again for the laughs and the sentimental moments, too.

You are a great writer.

NM :sunny:

I haven't posted to this thread, but I have been reading along faithfully...I've been a recluse for a couple of months...
however, great trippie as usual Mel
but...2 separate references to Great White? In one TR? Methinks Mel used to have big Jersey girl hair! (I can say that because I PROUDLY had big Jersey girl hair once upon a time)
...oh goodness back to my hole...

Yeah.

I didn't know that rock n' roll burned.

Then I bought a candle.

And I lived.

And I learned.

Heh heh.

Cheers, Mel.

But did you eat the duck pate?

I didnt notice it in your finger samich and onion tart photo where it should have been!

I've got nothing.

Which won't stop me from offering an opinion. This is, afterall, the Disboards. Where opinions run free. Like the pigmen.

What is with you people and tea?

It's a drink you swallow cold. With a meal that doesn't look like something you saw on the food channel as you were surfing past to ESPN.

Tea should be sweet. With lemon. Over ice. Served with a cheesesteak, barbecue or any other civilized food. A hotdog even. But not pizza. That requires a pop (or a Coke, if you will).

That crap you overpaid for looks silly.

No offense, Haley.

And no, my rage isn't just because Alabama lost in double overtime to a team that won't win 5 games this season. And it's not b/c Mike Shula should never have been hired, nor is it b/c some Tennessee Vols fan has hate crimed me on my TR.

It's just, I don't get the point of drinking hot tea. In summer. With little stupid sandwiches and chocolate that was clearly wasted on that steroid injected strawberry.

Just a question: you do know they have rides at Disney World, right?

:moped:

I was afraid that I wouldn't be "cultured" enough to do the tea. Mel, you have convinced me that I too can maybe act cultured enough to sit through tea with my little princess who is so much more mature than myself. I can hear it now "mommy, sit up straight... mommy, this is the proper way to drink your tea...mommy, which post card should we send grammie...mommy, please don't embarrass me again!"

Mel ~
I suddenly realized that I have been remiss in commenting on the last few episodes.

It had something to do with blubbering.

Thanks.

For that.

Hope to return the favor some day.

Soon.

Beth said, "Don't worry about Marshall, Mom."

"Why?" I asked her.

"Because you turned out fine."

Oh yeah.

Mama's little baby likes it short and sweet.

That is sweet.

Now I think that all looks just charming. Zzub, I bet your daughter would love it. Just sayin.

And while I like my sweet tea as much as the next girl, a nice hot tea brewed and served properly is always a treat. Just like Mel's trippie, always a treat.

note to self and only child sitting at swim classes...do not buy matching shirts with dad and drink tea...you will and could find yourself on the internet!

I totally turned out twisted and I had two brothers (but I think that may be why I'm twisted) can't tell what causes twisted by how many siblings I don't think.

However the size of that strawberry was very twisted...

Thanks as always for your reports!!

We waited for our food. And watched Marshall. And his family out of the corner of our eyes.

Yes... that was his name.

I know this because his parents said it about 40 brazillion times. During their lunch.

As in: "Marshall! Be careful! That's REAL tea and it's HOT!", "Marshall! Watch your manners! Eat more slowly!", "Marshall! Be careful! You don't want to get food on your good shirt!", "Marshall! Watch your father drink his tea. That is the proper way to hold your cup.", "Marshall! Which postcard should we send to your Grandmother? Now, Marshall, which one for your other Grammy?", "Marshall! Stop reading... we are trying to have a nice chat!"

So what are you saying? I'm a bad mother?? :furious:

Well let me tell you, it was no picnic sitting next to you either, missy. The way you slouched in your chair and slurped that tea :sad2:

:wave2: :wave2:

Hi there!

What up?

Looks like: I got here in the nick of time.

Before you got your fin across the state line.

Oh yeah!

I'm glad to read you like the Tea. I'm planning on doing it with some girlfriends in December, and we're not hoity toity types either. Personally, when I saw the picture of the trifle, that's what sold it for me.

Oh Mel - you make it so rough for the rest of us to compete. What a wonderful TR. Are you a professional writer? ...you could be...such a talent.

Wonderfully done, as per usual! The only problem is that now I'm behind in my work...

A small price to pay for another installment! :cloud9:

Longtime lurker here! I just wanted to tell you that I'm really enjoying your trippie :) :happytv: Great job! :thumbsup2

Tea for two. Too.

Then Beth and I threw them into the mailbox and hit the monorail.

Back to the Magic Kingdom.

First, though, we had to sit in the monorail car for endless moments.

It was stopped there. At the Grand Floridian. For a LONG time.

Why? Who knows?

Lama on the track?

Maybe.

I don't have a clue.

But... I got thinking about Marshall and his family. Again.

....YEAH because I'm thinking it is Marshall who threw himself on the track....LOL. Marshall that isn't the way to properly block the monorails' progress. Marshall you should be lying perpindicular to the rail. Marshall you are going to get your shirt soiled....Marshall, Marshall, Marshall. :rotfl2: :lmao:
