An Awesomely Awesome Fairy Tale Wedding - Oct 7th, 2011!

EPCOTDress.JPG

OMG SOOO pretty!!!

We figured we would be tired and we wouldn't want to lug everything around too much, so why not just stay there. That way we can wake up in the morning and grab the Magical Express the next day.
ur hotel.

That hotel plan is freakin genius, I never thought to just stay at the hotel there and take the ME the next day!

Also, just to give you a heads up for your cruise. Turks and Caicos is one of the SMALLEST ports out there which means that if there's heavy winds they may not be able to dock and will pass it right by. Two cruises ago Turks and Caicos was what I was really looking forward to and they ended up skipping it because of wind *pout!*. It ended up being another sea day and was really frustrating. I'm sure this doesn't happen often, but just a heads up that it may.

Also, St Thomas is my FAVE port in the Carribbean. There's usually an excursion to a marine animal park that's a great tour and I'd recommend it. BUT St Thomas is really a great place just to walk around and shop/window shop so if you want to have one day without something planned and just wing it, it's a great town to do it in.

I like the hotel plan for the beginning of the week and the end of the week. The middle was a bit of a compromise with DF.

So, like I said we are staying at the Airport the night we fly in. Then we head to the Polynesian for our Saturday night stay. Sunday we pack up and move to Bay Lake Towers (DF has always wanted to stay there and his parents are DVC members, so they are covering our stay for the wedding). We are at BLT until Wednesday, from there we switch to the Beach Club Villas. So, we are staying at three different places during our one week in Disney. Kinda crazy, but it makes him happy. :)

I just subscribed to your PJ...:wave2:

Love your colors (P.S. Figment is my all time favorite character!) and your flowers (calla lilies are my favorite flower so I am a little bias lol).

Absolutely love your dress (regular and bustled), shoes, tiara and hairstyle. It all fits beautifully.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, can't wait to see/hear more!

I forgot to take a picture of the Save the Date we sent out in January. I'll do that tonight. Here are the invitations we sent out.

So, a note on our BEO. As you can see, we have our sparkling wine and cider at our Desert Party and not at our reception.

Court and I struggled for a bit when it came to alcohol. It was important to him to have some sort of alcohol and I too wanted some sort of toast (since we are not doing any toasts at the MN reception). Originally, we were going to do our toasts at the reception. But then we felt bad serving alcohol for a toast and then telling our guests "That's it". Especially since the reception goes on for hours. We didn't want to continue to serve alcohol throughout the reception because there are some people whom I would consider to be alcoholics attending the wedding. They would see it as an opportunity to drink all the free alcohol they want (not thinking that it's actually costing Court and I a lot of money).

So, to take all that stress off of us, we decided to do the toasts at our Dessert Party. Since our location is at UK Lochside, people can wander to the bar at the Rose & Crown (one of the few full bars in the park) if they want alcohol. Also, the DP only lasts an hour. So, hopefully 8 bottles of Champagne and 1 bottle of Cider should be enough to give everyone enough to toast with and maybe a bit more. A lot less stress for us than at the reception! We should have plenty of time to do toasts between 8:30 - 9:00pm (before the fireworks start). Also, we feel it just brings a little more of the wedding into the DP.

Not a bad compromise, if I do say so myself! :)

Thanks so much for sharing your invites and BEO!! I can't wait to see how everything looks once it's all put together!

Also, 8 bottles of champagne should be plenty. If it's too much, can you leave the extras corked and take them home? I think having the toast at the dessert party is a great compromise though, I may have to steal that idea. My boyfriend and I are going to want to do a dry wedding, but my parents are toasters (drives me nuts, every time you sit to dinner there's a bloody toast) and that would probably keep them satisfied.

Here is a picture of the Save the Dates we sent out in January. It's a bad picture and they are a lavender color.

aww that dress for your photo shoot is lovely.

Love your invites and save the dates, wish I could have come up with something like that.

xx

So, I just realized that I haven't introduced my whole family. :)

Here are some engagement pictures of Court and I.

Yes, DF loves all things Superman. He has two Superman rings as well as a Superman belt buckle that he wears all the time. He has more Superman shirts than I care to count. He has Superman cuff links, ect... His three obsessions are Superman, Disney, and Kermit. Yeup.. I found me a good one. :)

Beautiful photos!! Your doggies are too cute!!

Thank you so much! Those were actually taken at the park where DF proposed. It's a beautiful area.

Even DF knows that Flash and Gracie are the loves of my life. Flash we got together, but I've had Gracie for years. I told DF when we first started dating that if anything ever happened and I had to choose between him and Gracie, I'd choose Gracie. She's been in my life longer and has been through more with me. He, surprisingly enough, was understanding of that. However, we both truly hope that nothing like that ever happens.

Yesterday was just a wreck for me. I think I've been bottling my stress up through this whole planning process until the last few months. I'm totally having bridal breakdowns!

So, I had a loooong conversation with my planner yesterday about the Grand Floridian expansion. I've kinda let it go. I'm still really upset how everything was handled, but there is not much I can do about. So, I'm trying to have a little faith in Disney and hope that it all goes just fine.

Then I had a phone interview with Disney Parks and Resorts online. The guy was 5 minutes late in calling me. When he did call, he called from his cellphone in his car while driving. He apologized and then we start with the interview. I feel it's going very well. I'm answering all of his questions, making him laugh a bit, and feeling pretty confident overall. 15 min into the interview he stops me and says that he is now at his Dr. appointment so he has to reschedule for tomorrow. I'm thinking it's a bit rude, but things happen so oh well. Then he asked me to call the Talent Acquisition lady and ask her to send him an outlook invitation to the meeting so it's on his calendar. Okay, maybe it's me but I think that's just plain rude. So, I have part B of my interview today.

This morning I can't seem to concentrate on work at all, and of course I have tons to do. I also signed on to read the message boards and panic hit me for a bit when I see that the GF Spa is closing. That's where my bridesmaids were getting their hair/make-up done. Luckily, before too much panic, I called them and they said that my bridesmaids were in the Salon inside the GF, not the outside one. So we are still good to go.

My mother called to say that she was going through all the wedding stuff stored at her house to make sure everything is organized and she can't find my necklace. I'm not too upset over it since it cost me a whole $10. I liked it, but I was all in all not in love with it. It served its purpose for cheap. So, now I'm having fun looking at new necklaces. Let me know what you think of these:

1) It has a little purple in it which I thought might be fun:

Holy unprofessional Batman! I don't blame you for being upset about that interview, that was about as unprofessional as it gets.

Sadly I'll be of no help with the jewelry as I love them all. Get them all and change them randomly throughout the day?? lol, some brides get 3 dresses, why not 6 necklaces.

Sorry to hear your feeling stressed and I think the way your interview was conducted was very unprofessional, I'd be upset too.

As for the jewelry all of them are nice but my faves were 1 and 6 (yay Tink) xx

Holy unprofessional Batman.
This made me Laugh. =D

Just read your journal and I love your colors! I told my fiance' that if it wasn't for Me seeing Disney so many times in Halloween (My B-day is in October) that We'd have a fall wedding with colors.

But anyway your dress is BEAUTIFUL You look amazing in it, you don't need to lose weight at all it's SO pretty!

Sorry about your interview that guy sounds like a whole bunch of names that the disboards will block out, So We'll just say he sounds like an unprofessional jerk.

As far as the necklaces I love ALL of them but I'd have to say my favorites are the Two Much Purple and the Regal one. =D I Can't wait to hear more!

I don't have much to update, just that... AAAAhh!!! Under two months to go!!!
