Woo hoo!!! :cool1: Hope you have a great time and you know the drill...take lots of pics!!! :goodvibes

Wow, I have totally been neglecting my planning journal. Yikes..

Here are the updates so far:

We're still waiting to be assigned our event planner. I was told that this should happen by the end of this week and it is now Friday. So, hopefully I will hear something today.

Our trip to Disney World earlier this month was just awesome! I'll definitely post pictures when I get home (I'm at work and they don't allow you to access any file sharing/photo websites). We totally fell in love with the Wedding Pavilion and Disney's Hollywood Hideaway. I don't think we could be more excited about our DP at UK Lochside. I know the whole day is just going to be magical!

I've decided on centerpieces for our reception back here in MN. I was going to do carved craft pumpkins, but the pumpkins were expensive and it seemed like way much work! Instead, I found these gorgeous luminaries on etsy.com: http://www.etsy.com/listing/58585811/classy-french-quarter-table-numbers-set . The lady is going to custom make 20 of them as we are not using numbers, but instead Disney Characters, to identify our tables. She's going to put a silhouette of the character and then the name of the character underneath it so people can identify which table they are assigned.

I also found a bouquet online that I really really like, so I'm hoping Disney can do something similar with real flowers for me:

I think that's the latest and greatest updates! I'll post pictures asap (because I know I have been slacking)!

Finally! I got around to getting my pictures online!

We also have our Event Planner. Her name is Michelle. So far things have been awesome! Michelle seems to be totally on top of things and very responsive.

We have our photo shoots set up as well. We're confirmed for a Magic Kingdom Photo shoot at 7:30am before the wedding on Oct 7th. I'm kinda bummed because I wanted it earlier so we could get some pictures before the sunrise. Unfortunately, due to construction, that's not an option.

We have a photo shoot set up for Epcot the day before on Oct 6th. Since it's before the wedding and we aren't feeling like getting dressed two days in a row, we're doing dressy casual. I'm going to wear an ivory dress and Court is going to wear a suit.

that's so awesome, i wish i could do photos in the park. You HAVE to post them after!

The centerpieces were the hardest part of planning our wedding. I love calla lilies and most centerpieces we saw that we liked were $45 - 60/each. Finally I just gave our florist a budget and she showed me the pictured above. We totally fell in love with it!

Congratulations. I get married on the 5th October :goodvibes

Hey guys, I'm getting married on the 4th! Isn't it exciting to think that we will all be in WDW round about the same time!

I thought I would post a little bit about Court and myself.

The beginning:

Court and I met through an online dating service. Our first date was on June 10th, 2009 and consisted of going to a little restaurant and sharing french fries and a bottle of wine. We hit it off instantly! The conversation started out along the lines of us talking about our favorite places to visit. We knew we were meant to be when we both answered "Disney World!". So, of course we discussed our favorite things about Disney World. Not wanting to scare him, but knowing it was an important part of my dreams, I tentatively brought up the notion that I have always wanted a Disney World wedding. We spent the next two hours talking about Disney, the Food and Wine Festival, and Disney weddings.

such a cute story, you two are deffinately made for each other :goodvibes

Wow! It's crazy how time flies! Here is an update to our wedding planning:

I HAVE MY DRESS!! I'm so excited. I will definitely post pictures when I get a chance.

Here are the stock photos for the dress, but I don't think it really does it justice:

Definitely read the description. There are beautiful crystals all over the organza skirt that are kind of hidden, but just make the entire dress light up and sparkle when the light hits them. It's sooo pretty.

What a beautiful dress, love it.

Finally! I got around to getting my pictures online!

it might be overkill, but I couldn't decide so I am doing both. I am doing the candle ceremony during the ceremony and the sand ceremony during the reception after the toasts

So we originally were going to do a Fairytale theme at our at home reception. Then, since it is in late October (Oct 21st), we were thinking more of a Halloween theme. Well, now we are back to a Disney/Fairytale theme. Here is a picture of the favors we have chosen. The carriage perfectly fits two Hershey kisses (one purple and one orange for our wedding colors).
