Yay! Finally an update!
So, last night on of my Aunts (the one who is eloping while on vacation in Florida for my wedding), my mother, and I got together to play dress up. We tried on our dresses with all our accessories to see how it all goes together. I tired to get my mother to take as many pictures as she could, but my phone did not want to play nicely. So we got as many as we could before it actually crapped out on me (trip to the phone store today... stupid phone).
We started out with my dress for our EPCOT photo shoot and what I have decided to wear for our reception (I returned the other white one I had. I really needed to cut down on dresses for packing and I love this dress):
i know it's kinda blurry, but recognize the necklace roxysmum123?!
It's kinda far away to tell, but this is a different necklace
My mom tried her best, but my phone is a bit more complicated than she is used to.
Yet another necklace
Winner Winner Chicken Dinner (this one got the most "yes" votes). It's kinda funny because we all looked at it before I put it on and thought it was away to sparkly and obnoxious.
Then we moved on the the bridal gown (and where my phone decided to quit).
This is the necklace my sister wore for her wedding. It also got the most "yes" votes.
Earring #1:
Earring #2:
Big Sparkly Necklace
roxysmum123's necklace (second runner up)!
In the end I think we decided on the sparkly and pearl necklace that my sister wore at her wedding and is letting me borrow with my pretty pearl earrings. The one that we absolutely adored for second runner up was the Stella & Dot necklace, but we feared it might be too little to be seen in photographs. However, it goes smashingly with my sundresses that I am wearing on my Honeymoon. I've totally fallen in love with it.
I have to admit that I'm still not happy with the way I look in my wedding dress. I wish I could lose another 20lbs in the next 3 weeks. The good news is that at my last fitting, the lady there laced up my dress and pulled it good and tight (in that way that only the ladies that have done this a million times can do). She said that when my mom laces it up, there should be around 4 inches of lace left. Last night when my mom laced it up good and tight, she said she had easily 6 - 8 inches of lace left. So, I must have lost some weight. I'm trying to convince myself that it was the lighting and background that make me not like the way I look. (It's not really working though.)
All in all, it was a fun night! Let me know what you ladies think! I always value outside opinions!
