AN AP-ALOOZA with a baby! October TR turned year of Disney! NEW 2/7 AUG FINISHED!

LOL not sure what's awesome, but thanks!! :goodvibes

Really enjoyed your TR, Lauren! I'm so glad you came back & finished. :goodvibes

That dress Aria wore to 'Ohana is ADORABLE! Fits so perfectly!! She looks so cute with the two leis on. :lovestruc The dessert there really looks delicious.

Your June plans sound great as well. That's great that you & Andrew will be getting a bit of alone time, especially to do KTTK. DH and I LOVED that tour when we took it in '09! It's a lot of walking, but it was great getting all the background info on the parks, some of the rides, learning some of the visual tricks they use on HM, etc. I think y'all will have a great time with that!

Thank you!! June trip is going to be so fun, and I am so excited to get to do a few things like the KTTK tour or just going out to eat alone. I'm not quite ready to leave Aria with the grandparents for a weekend...but an evening I can handle!!

Well i did sort of come back randomly after a loooong hiatus!! So how was your trip!?!? How exciting to go on a cruise with her!! I am dying to do that...maybe next year...

I hope her 1st birthday was a blast! I enjoyed doing the Minnie theme, no clue what we will do for the next one!

Our trip was great! Shockingly, it was the most relaxing Disney trip we've ever done. Part of that was because we were staying at the Poly... there's something about the atmosphere there that just puts me in a relaxing mood. But really it was because we took things at Lillian's pace. She totally broke my commando mode at it was for the better. It was so much fun to watch her walk along an empty Main Street. She had been walking for about a month by that point but because we live in the north she had never been able to walk outside. Her first steps outside were on Main Street! That was the trip that she decided that crawling was not happening ever again.

I'm looking forward to the character meals and having dedicated servers on our cruise in December. We were out at a restaurant last night and DD was desperate for someone to pay attention to her. She loves people! My husband joked that every city needs a Chef Mickey's... I'm not sure if that would be great or would loose the specialness of it.

We did a great cake for her birthday. I worked with a wonderful local bakery. I'm thinking maybe princess for her next birthday... perhaps focusing on her favorite one. Since our trip she has been loving Belle but we'll see...

Yeah I can't wait for the mine coaster!! How fun to get a day at Disney with the cruise, jealous you'll get to see F&W! I want to go back just for that, maybe without Aria...haha...

I just applied for the WDW agent education program (not that I really need it lol) for the end of August. Fingers crossed I get accepted. Free trip!

Aww I'm so glad you had such a wonderful trip - it does sound really wonderful and relaxing. Still haven't stayed at the Poly but I bet it definitely helps with the relaxing atmosphere! That is so neat about her steps on Main St too! It has been so fun going with Aria at these different ages - in October she could stand but wasn't walking - in December she had taken her first steps but wasn't really walking well yet, and March she was running! Haha!

Yeah we want to do a princess birthday soon, might do it for the next one we will see!

Cruise is going to be so awesome. I need to watch out for those cruise deals - maybe we can do one next year since we have nothing planned yet for 2014!

I just applied for the WDW agent education program (not that I really need it lol) for the end of August. Fingers crossed I get accepted. Free trip!

ooooh when will you hear?! That'd be SO awesome!! And so fun too!

My co-worker applied the day before I did and heard back yesterday afternoon. So I'm hoping maybe today I will hear something? I'm not sure if they'll accept me because I've been there so many times on my own. I keep checking my email obsessively!

I am sure I am asking the wrong crowd here LOL (well, the right crowd in my opinion...) but - daycare closes for a week in early august. Government employees are being furloughed for 11 days starting in July, which i can bunch together or take week by week - meaning I can take the whole week off when daycare closes.

Yes, my AP's will still be active, as will TiW. And, I can get a 1 BR condo rental at a resort nearby for $349/week.

Crazy dumb to do disney in August with Aria by myself?!?! LOL

Haven't even mentioned it to Andrew yet, but I'm already excited by the prospect of going back. It would be super on the cheap - full kitchen in condo and plan to spend a LOT of time at the pool, but would def still go to the parks most days and may do a few dining reservations for fun (think - character buffets and that sort of thing that keep Aria happy at TS).

Maybe this is silly and i should just be happy to be home for a week with her...but I just SO want to go! (Also, note we leave for Europe 2 weeks after we'd get back LOL).

I think that August with just you and Aria could be fun... but ACK, I couldn't handle a second trip so close. I find that I spend at least a week after I get back doing laundry and getting back into a routine and then I spend at least a week before a trip planning out what to pack and getting everything ready. Kudos to you if you can do it!!! I'd be :scared: But it does sound like a great plan to take advantage of the furloughed time!!!

Hmm tough decision. I know those AP's will be burning a hole in your pocket, and the thought of a trip is just sooooo tempting! But it might just be too much with you leaving for Europe shortly after, and August is just surface of the sun hot in Disney World, so it might be better to just enjoy a week at home.

Aria was....pretty awful on the plane. She will NOT nap during transportation I guess. The flight TO disney was really terrible, and we even had 3 seats (not a full plane). Flight home she was in a fairly good mood though the person in our row had a few toys thrown her way. She just would NOT nap.

I know what you mean, though the climates in FL in Aug will be very different from Holland/Germany/Italy in Sep. so I will still be able to do a lot of packing for each separately. Thanks for your input!!

Haha yes they really are. I'm not renewing and just going to buy a new AP for our December trip (I have successfully convinced Andrew to go back for another long trip in october 2014, staying at the grand floridian villas most likely!). So I was sad to see these AP's go, though I do know they have gotten quite a bit of use. :rotfl:

It just is never relaxing at home - chores to be done, dogs barking  weather iffy etc. I thought it could be fun to have a girls vaca. I did do WDW in August once (in 2000, my very first visit) and I'm not too too worried about sweating out in the parks because I 1) wouldn't be riding any of the bigger rides so I wouldn't feel the need to run around from ride to ride and 2) would be happy spending a day at the pool or DTD or whatnot too.

Hmmm you're no help! :goodvibes jk... Andrew will probably think I've gone mental when I mention the idea, though I would also be using my birthday money to fund the trip (I don't need any presents anyway...)

Also, I looked at the calendar and it will be 20 days between getting home from disney and leaving for europe...if that sways you any! :rotfl:

Maybe I'm crazy but I would do it if I were you. Only difference is I wouldn't attempt any TS if it were me.

Is Aria going with you to Europe?

LOL that's all the push i needed. Andrew thought i was crazy but said i should do it if i wanted. SO...just booked my 1 br condo for august 2-9. :cool1: going to do a few dining reservations just for fun, nothing too fancy or crazy and actually decided against character meals since no one will be there to take our pics!

Yep Aria is coming to europe with us!

That's awesome!! Okay so maybe I couldn't give you the push you needs because my DH would never go for that plan!!! Lol I'm glad Andrew was agreeable to it! Sounds like a fun way to pass the time till Europe.
