An almost-girly trip ~ February 2009 TR!

They tend to try and rip the squeaker out and eat it...so we have to watch them when they get a toy like that. Since I probably won't be on again before you leave,

HAVE AN AWESOME TRIP!!!!

And come back with lots of pics and stories to tell us :thumbsup2

Are you going to take a laptop and do a live update? If not when are you going to be back? I know you probably have it posted on here somewhere, but I'm to lazy to go back :rotfl:

Have fun!

I should so be in bed. :rotfl: I wasn't planning to come back on but these things just happen.

Thank you sooo much! I'll definitely be coming back with tons of pictures and stories. Hopefully most will entertain. I plan on taking pictures from the moment we leave for the airport, or perhaps during my early morning Dunkins run as well.

We're coming back next Wednesday, the 18th, so we have a week there.

I am taking my laptop, but I don't think we'll be paying for internet when we're down there. I'm mostly taking it so I can do updates in Word, and so I can dump my pictures and free up the space on the camera. I can't believe it's HERE and that we're leaving in a matter of hours. :hyper:

:mickeyjum HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME, AT OUR FAVORITE PLACE!!! :mickeyjum

:wave2: BE SAFE AND ENJOY EVERY MINUTE!!! :wave2:

I feel soo bad I didn't get to say goodbye before you left. :guilty: I have been working full days and left for work early yesterday morning because of an ice storm (we actually never got).
I've spent the last two nights at the car dealership trying to find my new car and dealing with all the details. :headache: I have been so tired and gone to bed earlier than normal.

I was thinking about you in the back of my mind, secretly envious and imagining you packing and all the excittement that goes along with the last day. Glad to hear you are all set and the pup is well taken care of. :yay:

Have the best time ever and I hope you get a DIS meet of somekind. Can't wait for your return. :woohoo:

Where did Meg and her family go today??? :scratchin

Well, since it is their first full day....and they have a Le Cellier reservation for tomorrow (I think)....I'm going to guess that they went to the Magic Kingdom.

EDIT: Magic Kingdom had EMH this morning, so I'm going to stick with the MK as my guess

   ::MinnieMo HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY WHILE AT WDW ::MickeyMo

Any holiday spent at Disney is just a little more special, huh?
We were there on St. Patrick's Day last year, and even that was kinda cool seeing so many people wearing green, special Disney St. Patrick's shirts, and a few crazy outfits scattered around.

We're on a mission, albeit a very slow and long one, to spend every holiday in WDW at least once. So far, we've covered: St. Patrick's Day, Easter week (but not actually Easter Sunday yet), Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. We're planning to take care of New Year's Eve and Day this year.

We've also spent my birthday and Jill's birthday there, as well.

Megablocks and family - I hope you guys are having a GREAT time! We all look forward to sharing it with you when you get back. I've been praying for time to stand still for you for a few hours each day while you are there so that you can do everything you want to do and still get some rest. I hope it's working. If I was there right now, I'd be walking around Pop taking pictures in the dark. ;)

Good morning, everyone! Thank you sooo much for all your replies and well-wishes--I read through everything but I don't have the patience to do individual responses since I hate my dad's laptop with a flaming passion. :rotfl:

Here's a condensed version of events:

Right now, we're in our room at Pop. My dad and I got food from the food court and my mom had her school bread from Norway. My dad and Kailyn are watching Japanese TV, and my dad is making up his own dialogue and asking questions of the people on the screen. :lmao:

The flight down and check-in were very smooth. This is the first day since we got here that my dad has been able to eat. He had what we think was food poisoning, and I will spare everyone the gory details, but let me just say that he was throwing up the first night AND had the "other" thing in addition to that. He didn't make it any further than the food court for the last couple of days, but he's doing MUCH better today. I think that he managed to sleep through the night without having to get up umpteen times. He even ate an adult breakfast platter today! :woohoo:

Kailyn had a cold, but she's finally feeling better as well.

We ended up canceling Le Cellier yesterday, because my dad was still not keeping food in him. Tonight, though, we are eating at Boma!

The weather has also been gorgeous, in the low 80's during the day and in the 60's at night. No rain!

Thank you again for all the responses, and Happy Valentine's Day! :lovestruc

:wave2: First off....pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: for your Dad to feel better.

Glad to hear you are making the best of it, and had a smooth trip down.

Too bad about Le Cellier but yippee for Boma. :yay:

I send best wishes for a fabulous rest of the trip. Enjoy! :wizard:

Take pics of the view from when you go parasailing. :thumbsup2

I'm sorry your Dad hasn't been feeling well....nothing must be worse then being sick on vacation....Enjoy the rest of your trip....and

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAILYN!!!!

I haven't been on much during the last couple of days, so I missed your update. I am so sorry your dad has been sick while you guys are trying to have a nice vacation. Poor guy! I hope your last couple of days are much better for him and for all of you.

Maybe you'll have to go home and plan a 'do-over' to make it up to him. :)

:dumbo: WELCOME BACK! :dumbo:

Hope you have a great last day and a safe flight home. :wizard:

Can't wait to see all the pics....and the funny stuff too. :)

Welcome Home! It must be both a relief and a sad event to have to come home from the Happiest Place on Earth....but I bet Caesar(sp?) will be happy to see you!

We are sitting at the Orlando Airport waiting for our 10:30 AM flight. Facebook and my laptop aren't getting along, per usual, but I'm hoping to have them on speaking terms soon. :upsidedow

I tried posting this yesterday, but I lost it -- the segway tour and parasailing didn't happen. We canceled the segway tour because Kailyn was feeling sick. She threw up the night or two before, but only twice, so we're assuming that the pastry that she had didn't sit well. My dad and I went to the Contemporary for the parasailing, but the boat was down. They said that they had tried calling a bunch of times, but my dad gave his cell number, and in his voice mailbox, said that he was on vacation, and they never left a message because they assumed that it was an office number. :confused3 The good thing, is we generally roll with the punches, so even though we were disappointed, we sucked it up. The other good thing is that we're going to start planning a trip for next year -- probably February again. We decided we needed a do-over trip. MeMom must be a mind reader. :)

So, we'll be home in a few short hours, I'll be picking up my pup, unpacking, seeing Charles, and working on that silly draft that I never did before we left. Oops!

Thank you for all your well wishes :grouphug: and "talk" to everyone soon!

The saddest day is always when you have to leave. I'm sorry that the birthday stuff didn't happen for Kailyn, and I agree, a do-over is necessary. Have a safe trip home, and I hope you had a good time!

It's 11:00 now, so you are probably flying up the East Coast to home! :goodvibes

Can't wait to hear/read/see all about your trip!!!

Sorry the tours didn't work out, but since you didn't get to do them, planning a "do-over" trip is def. the way to go :thumbsup2

Hmmm....I wonder if I can come up with a reason when we go for a "do-over" trip :lmao:
