A question for you AirTran frequent fliers....

I'm heading to WDW in a few weeks. I'll be catching a flight from ATL on AirTran. My meeting does not end till 6PM. I'll most likely be catching an 8:30 flight. On the off chance that my meeting ends early or I decide to leave early (;) ) , what are the chances AirTran will put me on an earlier flight without any additional fees? (CO and JB will do this if there is space and for no charge.) After three full days of corporate mumbo-jumbo, I am going to want to high-tail it to MCO and WDW ASAP! Thanks.

I'm sure if there is an earlier flight available and you're there in time you can change your time without difficulty. People do it all the time. :) I just don't know what the fee would be. Delta is $25. I bet it's something similar. It's bound to be on the Air Tran site somewhere.

Yep... here it is!

From Airtran.com
Standby for Other Flights
Customers may standby at no charge for flights other than the one for which they have a reservation on the same day of departure.

So, when you get to the airport inform them you would like to stand by for an earlier flight. They will instruct you as to what to do from there. I personally would keep an eye on reservations at airtran.com to know if an earlier flight is available.

Have fun.
