Amy Update 6-24

Thank you for the update.......and sorry it wasnt what you were hoping for....but at least the doctors are prepared and Amy and Kimberly will be in the best place.
My thoughts are with the 3 of you.

One day at a time Pat. You, Amy and Kimberly continue to be in my prayers. Before long this whole ordeal will be but a memory written in Kimberly's baby book for you to share with her when she's older.

Hang in there and thanks for keeping us posted.

Pat, thank you for updating us. I'm sorry to hear that Amy is going to have to go on bedrest and move to Danville for a while. It does sound like the doctors are really trying to protect her and Kimberly and prevent anything bad from happening to them. I'm so glad to know that Danville is such a first-rate facility--thank goodness it's available to you. I know it must be so difficult to keep your spirits up when things keep going wrong, but you are really an inspiration. My prayers remain with your whole family. :{{{HUGS}}}

Thanks for keeping us updated, Pat. I will continue to say a prayer for you and your family each night. I know this will be hard on you and Amy to be seperated like this but I am very happy to hear that Kimberly is doing so well despite these complications. Take care and keep us updated when you can.

My prayers continue for the three of you. Keep your mind focused on getting thru each day....try not to think much about the "what ifs" ....ALL that matters is THIS DAY. Right now 2 months might seem like a long time Pat, but when you hold that sweet baby in your arms.....the memories of these difficult times will disappear. Disney magic is alllll around you.....not just in the confines of WDW property.....and it will find you. Just keep your heart open to it.

Thanks for the update, Pat. My thoughts and prayers go out to Amy.

{{{Hugs}}} for all three of you, Pat.

I will continue to pray for Amy and little Kimberly and you, Stay strong she needs you! Keep us updated.
Kim

When you start to feel down just think of how loved Kimberly will feel knowing how much her mom & dad went through to keep her safe and healthy. :)

Lots of thoughts and prayers to you. Please check to see if the hospital has any type of housing available to Amy. While I was hospitalized for 7 weeks, when DH and DD would come to visit they stayed in place kinda of like the Ronald Mcdonald house but it was attached to the hopital and it was basically a hotel. They had a private room with bath, tv and phone and they only paid $20.00 a night. When the doctors were talking about releasing me and keeping me near, they were also going to have me stay there. It would help things finacially a little bit.

Pat hang in there.....you and Amy and Kimberly will be added to our church prayer chain. Remember to take care of yourself, too! Amy and Kimberly will need a strong DH and Daddy around, so remember to eat well and sleep well, too (like you have time, I know, but do it for them). Somehow, finances always work out- maybe not the way you'd like, but things have a way of settling down. Tell Amy to get a good TV guide, some great books (has she read the new Harry Potter- that should keep her busy) and good friends for conversation. And tell that little Kimberly to grow, grow and grow!

Somehow, years from now as "little" Kimberly is next to you IN the driver's seat this will all seem so far away and such a blur. Hang on to each moment, even the difficult ones. I have a feeling your little Kimberly is going to attack life with a vengance and never look back......thank goodness she will have a great set of parents.

Thanks, and I'll take any ideas anyone has! Right now, we're focused on the RD house in Danville, but we're having problems getting in there, along with having problems getting info out of our Danville contacts (the two problems feed each other). I continue to believe the Danville facility has the best care in the area. I also think their collective administrative function and bedside manner is below the Mendoza line. Long story I won't moan about here.

We've talked to a few people, but basically we make too much bucks to catch a break anywhere. And we shouldn't whine. As my brother was telling me last night, it's better to make too much money to qualify than to be broke. On the other hand, six months of this (Amy out of work, paying for an apartment, me working short weeks) and our desire for low-cost temporary housing could become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Therefore, we're considering an option that would include moving Amy two blocks from the University of Maryland hospital. Anyone out there have an opinion on this facility?

Things look brighter today. Amy's calling the Doctor really nasty names. Given my preference, I'd rather see her in a fighting mood.

Thanks for the update, Pat. Amy, Kimberly and you will continue to be in my prayers. God bless!

You all are in our thoughts and prayers daily. I hope everything works out for you in the lodging department. Oh yeah, and the money thing, get used to it--after you have a kid you never have enough:D

Thanks for taking the time to update us. You all will remain in my thoughts and prayers

You will all continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted.

I have not stopped praying for Amy and Kimberly. I will add a bit more to what I've already been praying. Please know that we are all thinking of you in this time. Best of luck to you with juggling work and being with Amy.

Thanks for the update, I always look forward to them so we all know how Amy and little Kimberly are doing. Sorry the doctor visit wasn't what you had hoped for, but I know you'll get through this. Look how many people you all have pulling for you and cheering you on!!! Many many prayers and lots of pd to all three of you.

Pat, Continued prayers for you and your DW and DD.
