Amway Arena

I've asked this same question on a UK Disney site but I would appreciate views from a wider audience.

I would like to see a concert at the Amway Arena in March but I'm a bit nervous about getting there and back from International Drive. Could anyone tell me if it would be too "risky" for a woman on her own to drive to and from that area at night? I would have valet parking at the Arena so I'm not worried about the actual parking.

I'm really grateful for your advice.

As long as you know how to get there, you should be fine. Parking is the real problem but since you've got that covered, I see no reason not to go.

Amway Arena is not in the best of areas but for any major event you will hardly be alone. OPD officers will be everywhere and of course if you're using valet parking you'll be near the arena itself with thousands of other people about.

From I-Drive take I-4 to downtown Orlando and use exit #83B. The ramp takes you down along the east side of I-4 while the arena is on the west side. But follow the signs for parking. You'll be fine. And if somehow you miss it and drive past Amway, don't panic. You're not going to be robbed. Just turn around where you can and work your way back.
