We are arriving at the Kissimmee Amtrak station and are looking for the best and least expensive way to get to Pop Century. There are 4 of us traveling.:idea:

PLEASE HELP!!!!! :idea::surfweb:

I saw a thread where people were posting taxi fares. I think into Kissamee was about $15 plus tip. The cabs in Orlando aren't regulated so I would ask how much before getting in. You don't want a cabby driving the long way and charging $30.

I am not sure of the taxi cost but those with town cars pay much more.
-and I can't imagine it is only $15 to pop???Seems low to me.

Bumping this and hoping for more responses. I have a car service booked for $100 roundtrip. If I could get a taxi for $15 that would certainly make a difference.

Us too! I would love to get a taxi for $15-$20 to Pop Century. That would most certainly make life a lot cheaper. I wonder if cabs are just sitting at the train station or do we need to call one?

Off the top of my head, taxi fares are either $2.25 per mile or $2.75 per mile. And I'm not sure why somebody said they're not regulated; as far as I know, almost everywhere taxi fares ARE regulated by some law or governing body - otherwise it'd be open season on tourists.

Just always be sure the cab has a meter and uses it, and of course that it starts at $0.00.

I called Mears this evening about a car service from All Star Music 9close to POP) to the Amtrak Kissimmee for 6 people and the fare is $53. They do have a taxi service that you can reserve on their website and a fare estimator too...I haven't used them before but they seem very reputable. We are most likely using them for our transportation from Amtrak. I am keeping my options open though!
