ANyone have an early top 3?

Personally I liek Rae, Nicole, and Kara. I thought Lisa was pretty but she really did do a horrible shoot. That could have been a way more fun picture she should have smiled..grr..

Unless they were doing runway or in a group picture, I wouldn't think that height would really matter.

For runway, all the models have to be interchangeable. The designers send clothing in one size. It has to look good on the model regardless of height. If a piece of clothing is a little too big, they pin it for the show. The can't do anything about the length, so every model must be at least a certain height to make the fashions work.

Bianca annoyed the heck out of me! I can't believe she was so upset about having her eyebrows lightened! There are so many girls on that show that had bizarre makeovers in the past and she is worried about slightly lighter eyebrows??? Also the fact that she complained about not liking her makeup and her outfit made me mad too. Get over yourself!

I honestly don't think I have ever heard of anyone more in love with herself than Tyra Banks. Everything is "tyra". First we have "Tyra" mail, now the makeovers are called "Ty-overs". There are countless pictures of her all over the place--it's all Tyra all the time! There is not a humble bone in that woman's body.

After the first photo shoot I am excited for this cycle. It looks like several girls have a lot of potential and I'm excited to see how they'll do in future episodes.

I wish Bianca would've gone home. But they rarely send the girl who complains on the first photo shoot home (i.e. Melrose). Plus she'll provide more drama. I mean, hello, Sandra last cycle never should have lasted as long as she did. The girl only walked halfway down the runway! Not to mention her pictures...

Sundai's picture was bad, but I think she had the worst baby picture to work with. I'm glad she's getting a second chance.

I was really impressed by Rae and Jennifer's pictures, especially for this being the first shoot.

And finally I have to say, I don't miss Paulina.

I really enjoyed the first episode. I think there are a lot of very "pretty" girls this time, as opposed to more unique ones they've had in the past. I really like Nicole, even though she's a little different, and I like Rae too. Bianca--get over yourself already, gag. I didn't miss Paulina either, although she never bothered me before. Tyra looks like she's in really good shape right now. Did anyone notice if Miss J was doing anything special to mark the elimination of each girl (i.e. the big bow tie, etc)? I didn't notice. Looks to be a fun season.

Yes- Kate Moss is just a touch under 5'7", and she is always referred to as such a short girl. To me, 5'7" is pretty tall- I topped out at 5'-not-quite-1". She is still very in demand- her drug problems didn't really harm her modeling career at all. She lost a few endorsement deals when she had those pictures of her doing coke released, but within a month or so, she was re-hired.

I guess I just haven't seen or heard of her as much as before the "gotcha" pictures. I know she use to do a lot of both runway and print but I haven't seen her in full page print adds in awhile.

I agree with you in regards to height. In the real world 5'6 or 5'7 is considered tall (especially to me) but in the modeling world it is pretty short.

I think Tyra is creating an un-hirable Top Model, just like Whitney isn't a true plus, the 5'6" or 5'7" winner won't be a true petite.

They'll keep Biana way too long because it appears that she's going to be the bee-yotch of the house.

I felt sorry for the girl who went home because almost no one could pull off that clown costume.

I thought I saw a number 14 on the breast pocket of his shirt. Maybe he will just be counting down using the numbers.

I loved Rae's pic. Those shoes were crazy though.

I also think that she is in her head alot like she says, therefore she was that weird girl in school who did not talk to people. Thus made her have no social skills.

It would also be really intersting to see if she was skipped a few grades, I know that also makes people not have great social skills.

Nicole was definitely "quirky". Didn't she say that people think she's weird because she used an old rusty wheelbarrow at school instead of a backpack?

Loved Rae's picture, so pretty. Though those heels were RIDICULOUS. It was a twisted/sprained/broken ankle begging to happen. They made her Tyra/Heidi height

And what's with the judges? Only Tyra, Nigel, Miss J, and the guest judge?

I'm sad Amber quit. She was modelesque (well as modelesque as a girl 5'7" or under is EVER going to get, besides Kate Moss) and entertaining... ugh.

Sandra had a ton of model potential, produced the best photo of the cycle, and her pictures weren't NEARLY as bad as the judges made them out to be. Plus, I loved Sandra's personality.

Nicole's picture was my favorite. Bianca should have gone home rather than Courtney since it was the first time Courtney did something wrong and the second time Bianca did the same thing wrong but I know they're keeping her because she's the "w"itch of the house.

Some of those girls had the cards stacked against them from the start...some of the makeup was SO hard and with the hair and the horse and the makeup and the toplessness, they really looked porn-ish....then Jay would tell them to look soft because they looked too hard...YES...some were made up about as hard as can be.

I think you're right! Maybe thats why Bianca is still there.

I also wonder how long it's going to take the judges (or anyone else) to be honest with Sundai. There is more chance of a brutal snowstorm in Miami than her being able to be a top model (let alone a super model) with her height. She is barely 5'3 and she should never go anywhere without heels, especially panel IMO.
