Those darn Ducks couldn’t finish the job!!
Those darn Ducks couldn’t finish the job!!
The American invasion into Canadian cuisine.Uh..yum! I think I need to buy some waffle fries next time I'm at the grocery store![]()
If those are the only two foods left on earth, I guess I'll take the potato skins, as long as they're baked. Deep-fried food is torture due to my acid reflux. I can't really enjoy poutine, for that same reason.Canadians, loaded potato skins or dressed up waffle fries?

How about a much healthier option?:If those are the only two foods left on earth, I guess I'll take the potato skins, as long as they're baked. Deep-fried food is torture due to my acid reflux. I can't really enjoy poutine, for that same reason.
Are you trying to say the Flames actually won one? I'm not a hockey fan, as you maybe know, but if I was one, I'd have to cheer for my hometown guys. Even so, an absolutely hilarious thing I saw a bunch of years ago in Dallas, Texas was a major "burn". Apparently, the Stars were hosting the Flames that night. A huge billboard out in front of the area read "Calgary Flames - the "F" is silent."

Looks fine as a side dish I might make at home, but not a super-enticing treat. As bar-food or appetizers go, I'd rather have stuffed mushroom caps, baked wings or hot spinach dip with pita, or something like that. How about a much healthier option?:
I have mentioned this in the past. The dude never sleeps.Hey Buzz...it just occurred to me that you're here answering posts in real-time in what must be the wee hours of the morning where you are. Are you just a night owl or do you work shifts or something? I'd never make it to the office in the morning if I was still up DIS'ing at 1:00 am.![]()
Well, I hope he’s sleeping now. It’s so important for good health and mental acuity. I’m a solid midnight-to-6:00 sleeper and I simply couldn’t function without it. I have great compassion for anyone with insomnia or are otherwise sleep-deprived.I have mentioned this in the past. The dude never sleeps.I can be up chatting with him live late at night and have him back early the next morning. He is two hours ahead of you. I think Buzz is the name of the DIS boards server and he has become sentient. He has no need for sleep.

He will be up and active soon. The time that I called him out at 3:45am, he was back responding to me by 10am. (That's within the next hour.)Well, I hope he’s sleeping now. Loaded potato skins!Canadians, loaded potato skins or dressed up waffle fries?
How about this? Do we want to get a group together for next Tuesday's Blue Jays game?Loaded potato skins!
Sure! But only if they promise to make them with the freshest cheese curds imported from Quebec and my order is handed to me by Roger Clemens. How about this? Do we want to get a group together for next Tuesday's Blue Jays game?

Nope - nobody in my world is a hunter nor do I care for wild game of any kind. If a person were to go to the grocer/butcher to buy a goose, it would be a domesticated breed of some sort.Canadian, do you ever eat Canadian geese or is that not a thing? In the USA, we are told that they carry many diseases.
Baseball this early? Forget it. How about we get behind the Raptor’s play-in efforts? How about this? Do we want to get a group together for next Tuesday's Blue Jays game?

Don’t worry, the Yankees will be winning the pennant this year, so Canadians can go back to arguing about their NBA and NHL teams.Baseball this early? Forget it. How about we get behind the Raptor’s play-in efforts?A single-elimination game against the Bulls goes this Wednesday. I’d give a lot to be there.
And as for food, let’s all have Korean rice dogs!!
