I heard the Leafs have a tee time for the morning.

Edmonton done too now. I’m not a hockey fan at all, but it makes me a little sad. I would have liked to see Toronto go all the way - I might have even watched a game or two.
I've got no stake in the hockey thing but wouldn't have minded witnessing the "once in a millennium" event that a Leafs win would have been.Would rather have watched Edmonton win the cup. As a Habs fan I can't ever cheer for the Leafs.
Tune in at 10pm ET Wednesday on FS1/Universo (in the USA) to find out. I would love to see the house hippo be Canada's WC mascot. The memes alone would be worth it. I'm trying to find out what channel the announcement will be on in Canada for Canadians living in Canada. I will edit this post when I know. Just an FYI, Canada is in the Concacaf Nations League semifinals playing in June. So you can watch your national team try to win a trophy (but they will have to beat Costa Rica and Mexico/USA to do it.).I don't see any mention of house hippos. They may have actually gotten me to watch soccer if there were house hippos.
I don't follow sports, but you just brought back memories of how I used to root for the Leafs when I lived in Buffalo, just to tick off some obnoxious Sabres fans I knewJust wanting the Toronto Maple Leaf’s to win tonight , or not so I can get my son and friends talking about it….lol

Yes but this was to comment on an event hosted by North America and therefore will have an impact on your country. You are entirely free to skip the comment. Also feel free to add a non soccer question. Please, please, can you keep your soccer ads to one of your 712 threads about the sport?
Skipping threads is easy. Having to wade through multiple comments in the thread is not. And you had agreed to avoid soccer posts here…Yes but this was to comment on an event hosted by North America and therefore will have an impact on your country. To be fair, you criticize most of what I say. The previous post was not about soccer but the mascot that will be chosen that symbolizes Canadian culture. You often miss the context of my posts.Skipping threads is easy. Having to wade through multiple comments in the thread is not. And you had agreed to avoid soccer posts here…
But fine, guess I just put you on ignore which is a shame because you do often have interesting things to say.
Would you say that the Raptors, Blue Jays, and Leafs always have more bandwagon fans every season? You are more than welcome to jump on the Raptors bandwagon with me next season, if there's anybody around that you could bug by that!

I wasn't. The post was talking about an international tournament that will feature a mascot that symbolizes Canadian culture. I was talking about what the mascot should be based on that culture best known by Canadians. You have every right to skip the remark, just like I can skip any post. You can use the ignore button on me all the same if you want. I won't take offense. I try my best to come up with discussions for the thread and half of them often get ignored anyway or unfortunately criticized. Feel free to post your own question for the thread. You already know most people in here don't want to read your soccer posts. Why stir the pot?

I really have no clue. I don't follow hockey or baseball. If I did follow baseball, it would have to be the Jays, and no doubt I'll "jump on" if they manage any playoff success. I can say I've single-handedly inducted at least a dozen of my friends, family and coworkers into rabid Raptor-fandom, after falling in love with them myself during the 2019 championship season.Would you say that the Raptors, Blue Jays, and Leafs always have more bandwagon fans every season?

And you totally missed mine. So we should just move on from it.You are missing the point. Most people in this thread have stated numerous times that they have no interest in soccer or the world cup. Those that do are happy to share in soccer discussions on any one of the number of soccer threads you have started.
