What was wrong?Oh hell no ... thats messed-up and I do say "pop" ...
My midwesterner sensibilities tells me not to even respond to that ... hahaWhat was wrong?
I’m curious how you would describe the Northeastern USA?My midwesterner sensibilities tells me not to even respond to that ... haha
Thanks for explaining that. I hope I didn’t hurt your feelings. I have no clue about Canadian rivals besides the Toronto Blue Jays vs Yankees and USMNT vs CanMNT.![]()
I think there are common stereotypes attributed to just about every region in the US. I don't think I would stray too far from some of the more common ones - but since I am in NYC just about every month - no need to proliferate themI’m curious how you would describe the Northeastern USA?
I would say suburban areas in the Northeastern USA think differently than the major cities.I think there are common stereotypes attributed to just about every region in the US. No doubt thats why I dont even get into them ... its funny in the right company ... like with my friends from NYC ... but on an open forum may be misunderstood and create unnecessary noiseI would say suburban areas in the Northeastern USA think differently than the major cities.
Not a clue; but if you really want to pursue the topic, Saskatoon has no major-league sports teams. Perhaps there would be some sort of support for such things?
But why don't we speak of other things for a bit! Here's something interesting and a unique solution to a fairly unique Canadian situation. What do you think of this approach? What would you do about nuisance wildlife in your city parks?

Must be missing it ... is it throwing shade somewhere else? So, Winnipeg has a new slogan and logo. Winnipeg Twitter is not happy about it and is mocking it mercilessly and it’s hilarious.
Made from what’s real? There’s artificial snow and ice in Canada? That has to be breaking news in the Great White North. So, Winnipeg has a new slogan and logo. Winnipeg Twitter is not happy about it and is mocking it mercilessly and it’s hilarious.

No white where I am right now and even up north isn’t frozen year round. Winnipeg has a very short growing season so trees go from bare to leafy in the span of maybe two weeks. We will start to get frost warnings in September and may see a flurry or two in October. The snow doesn’t stay til November/December usually.Made from what’s real? I actually had to look up where Winnipeg was on the map ... Was not where I thought it was!It makes us sound like we’re hand cut oatmeal. Also, the logo is being compared to a non family friendly body part. I didn’t make the connection at first, but now I can’t unsee it.

As to artificial ice? Of course it’s artificial now; hockey lives on even in the summer.

More in the Calgary direction ... no particular reason why other than ignorance on my part I suppose.Where did you think it was?
Canadians/Americans, describe each other’s country in 3 words.
Really?Guns, god, and government.
