Thanks.... :goodvibes . We have those here. Actually it's something new over the last couple of years I believe. They cost around $1000-$1500 CDN.(you can get them more expensive as well). I have the top load washer. It's actually 20 years old and still running strong as is my dryer. I was my parents set.

Our washing machine 'quick wash' lasts around an hour ! whereas the one in US was about 25 mins.

I knew that the spin spead was slower but having washed loads and loads of towels on hols can't say that I noticed that they were any wetter than the ones I spin here.

Comet sell them as we went to purchase them last year but just before we purchased out electrician pointed out that if we had them on with other electical appliances it would blow the house fuses as they take an enourmous amount of power. sure enough when we checked with comet the voltage was really high so we purchased a Dyson washing machine instead and they take a huge load of washing at any one time. plus I have found their service second to none. Just waiting on dyson bringing out a tumble dryer and I will be happy . :)

Oh no ! hadn't thought of that !

I'll have to get a bigger fuse box !
