American Idol Top 4 Idol Chatter and Idle Chatter

You are totally right about this. Everyone goes nuts when Kris has one good performance, yet Adam has had consistently good or brilliant performances the entire time. If he doesn't win, it's because the audience is taking his incredible vocal skills for granted - or doesn't even understand how good he is and because America loves to vote for the underdog.

mjsbigblog mentioned that Simon was working on trying to get David Bowie as a duet partner for Adam. I know he is one of Adams favorite artists and that would be a wonderful partnership.

Here is a link to what is probably Adam's final confessional (top 3), and he is clearly quite tired - though looking a hawt as always. He is so adorable and humble, and thanks all his fans for getting him to the final two. He says he would love to win this but knows that anything can happen and does not take a win for granted at all.
Adam fans - let's help our boy realize his dream and vote nonstop for him for a win!!

Wow, what a great guy.... and to hear other people talk about him you'd think he was the devil himself!! :lmao:

What beautiful eyes... I'm so glad I saw this! :thumbsup2

on the oTHER hand... this one was RUDE :sad2: : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8SNqlTqIt8

These days I spend about an hour (sometimes more) on mjsbigblog following all the links and catching up on Idol news. Actually, it's a good thing this is all over this week because I need those hours back! Anyway, I watched several exit interviews with Danny and I can't remember in which specific one he mentioned that.

:lmao: I am exactly the same way! I just can't help myself. The other night I stayed up really, really late just look at a picture thread on the Idol boards. (Must say that there were some mighty fine pictures :faint:) I just can't seem to get enough and I so excited about tomorrow that I feel like a teenage girl waiting for her first date to arrive.  I hope he just really tears it up and cuts loose, no holds bar on his songs. :cloud9:

I have always felt that Adam was the underdog. It doesn't sound like he always fit in. I am glad he has become comfortable in his own skin and I like what he said to his high school, "This is an example of believing in yourself ...Everyone who feels outcast or weird ... Embrace each other’s differences ... It’s cool to be different.”

Although I am just guessing, I feel like Adam may have had a difficult childhood and probably never really felt like he fit in. He is not a typical person and may have had a rough time for many years.

That is one of the many things I like about Adam. I like that he is different. I like that he is talented and unique. I think his experiences during his younger years have made him into the compassionate, humble person he is today. I think Adam is amazing and love his voice. He is not afraid to be himself and put it all out there.

Go Adam. :thumbsup2

He's singing Permanant. I can't imagine how he will get through it

I'm no sure I'll be able to watch him sing that song, I can see it getting very emotional.
 I don't know if I can watch that. I can't listen to the song without crying - especially with my mom fighting for her life right now. That is going to be hard, but if he can get thru singing it, I guess I can get thru watching it. :sad1:

On the other hand he hits me with the kind of confidence that only a loved child can have. The way he handles criticism is calm and amazing. You can tell he was a truly LOVED child.

Being different is a part of growing up. How you handle it depends on the confidence you get from the acceptance you receive from the ones that truly matter. He seems so calmly confident, which is a true testimony of his upbringing! :thumbsup2

I also truly loved how sweet Kris' parents were and how teary his Dad was. Sooo cute! :cloud9:

I'm wondering how he is going to manage to SING it without losing it, let alone me listening to it without crying. ;) It has to be extremely difficult to do that song now. But I do love me some David Cook so I am looking forward to it.

That so totally shows in the video on AI.com that was recorded after he found out that he made it to the top two. I love how honest he is.

Found this interesting sticky on the idol boards:

Directly from FOX:

The finalists DO NOT have active Twitter accounts.

Anyone claiming to be a finalist from American Idol is an impostor.

But it does appear that they are posting on myspace pages, so not sure if it is really true or not. :confused3

He does look confident now. I definitely think having the love and acceptance of your family can make a person who has many obstacles have the confidence to deal with these obstacles without crumbling. Adam's family (or at least I think it is his family that they show) looks very proud of him.

If they are saying that about the top 13 then how did Anoop get those pictures he has....:confused3

I'm not sure, but the sticky was just posted on May 15th. I just knew there were a couple of posts a couple of pages ago that mentioned following them on twitter and when I saw that I thought I'd post it here just in case. I don't twitter so I don't know much about it. :confused3 What pictures were posted?

I know they aren't allowed to post on twitter until they are booted. Are you sure the myspace pages are actually theirs? www.myspace.com/adamlambert hasn't signed on since Feb.

Again, I'm not sure, but from the looks of the video that was posted on MJ's blog it looks like some are able to update their pages. I don't go on myspace really so I didn't actually look at their page myself. :confused3

They look like screen shots from the video posted by Michael on his myspace page yesterday. :confused3 Who knows, maybe the post that they aren't supposed to have twitter pages is just smoke to cover things that leak?

Maybe it's possible they are Anoop's, it says the updates are coming via twitterfon so its either from his iphone or ipod.

Okay I'm stuck in the hotel room cause the weather today is for the birds and it's almost Dancing Time. So I'll post Idol news I have:

Performers are: Lionel Richie, Carlos Santana, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah, Black Eyed Peas and Keith Urban, as well as Carrie Underwood and David Cook...David Cook will be on the American Idol finale show this Wednesday, May 20th performing the song “Permanent” which he co-wrote with Raine.

....:earseek:.....WHO will be performing on Wednesday??!?!?!? :faint:

Or......It could actually be because some people just don't like Adam's style of singing. Posters have said again and again that they find the screeching unpleasant or that he lacks spontaneity and is tooooooo affected or that they find his tone unappealing. (Note: I did not say he was ugly or that I hated him.) In other words, some people truly do not care for his performances, except on rare occasions when he dials it WAY back, such as with "Tracks of My Tears." I know many people are avid fans, but many others are equally as turned off by his performances.

If they do not vote for Adam, it may have precious little to do with voting for the underdog. It may be because they do not think Adam's performances have been brilliant OR perhaps it's because they don't agree that he has incredible vocal skills. I think he has talent, but what he has chosen to use as his strong suit has been a turnoff for me. (screechy) He has chosen to show us only a glimpse of the more reined in side of himself, as in TOMT. That was when I was most impressed with him, but he's barely shown that aspect all season.

It's not that people "don't understand how good he is." They're just not fans of his singing. Some people like steak and some like seafood.

Then again, plenty of people will vote for Kris for reasons that have absolutely NOTHING to do with Adam. Maybe they've been Kris fans all along or maybe they came to like him as the season progressed. But for whatever reason, they enjoy his performances MORE than they enjoy Adam's. So they will vote for Kris and it will have nothing to do with Adam.

Clearly, some posters could watch Adam all night, while some of us think a teeny amount of him goes a lot way and lunge for the MUTE button. There is not a right or wrong opinion here, because they're just OPINIONS. When I hear screech, others hear bliss. Same sound, different ears.

Just when I thought this thread was getting back to its old self. EMom, please take this as constructive criticism, but your post would be much more effective if you told us what you like about Kris without putting Adam down. Everyone gets that you don't like the way Adam sings. Instead of focusing on the negative, tell us how Kris inspires you, what vocal techniques he uses that sound good to your ears or how you admire his ability to play the guitar. It would even be OK to say once that you think Adam's high notes sound like a screech to you but going on about the negative just makes other posters defensive.

The AI finale has two good performers. I would much rather you tell me why you are a fan of Kris. Convince me to pull up a youtube of Kris that will help me enjoy him more. That would be so much more effective.

I've been waiting for this myself.

Last year there were so many LOVE posts about David Cook, a few against David A but nothing compared to the LOVEFEST going on for Cook. This year where is the lovefest for Kris? I don't feel any passion except against his opponent.

Like in any voting contest, you cannot vote against a person. You only vote for the person you really want to win. This is not Survivor. I'd love to hear the passion FOR a contestant rather than against. That has surprisingly been missing.

:yay: Let's hear it for your guy!! :yay:
