New rumblings that the coronation song is called "No Boundaries" and is written by Kara. That sounds better than the other silly rumour.

Ryan has also said there is lots of leather tonight and costuming that won't soon be forgotten.

Fox said that they don't know for sure any song choices but Adam said today he feels challenged by one of his. Kris however, said his was going to be really good.

Someone else posted that their Fox affiliate showed a clip where, "Adam said that one of his is a little bit different for him "stylistically" but that he is going to try to go there. Kris also said one of his songs is difficult to make his own."

Hmmm. I'm starting to wonder what songs Simon Fuller gave these guys.

In other news, a FOX 5 reporter spilled the beans about what favorite Idol performances they’d be singing tonight. For Adam, it will be “Mad World” with “a twist.” and Kris is still deciding between “Heartless” and “Falling Slowly” but is leaning towards the latter

I just read a funny article comparing tonight's finale to the presidential election. There's down-home, married Christian-boy Kris for the red states, and openly gay nice Jewish boy in eyeliner Adam for the blue states. I don't want to generalize but middle America's a big place and Kris has a really good shot Like other posters have said, there's more passion out there against Adam than there is for Kris, and I have a feeling it's going to hurt Adam. Granted, I'd much rather have Kris win than McCain so it's all good

I'm psyched to see them both next week, but Adam a whole lot more I hope they both go all out tonight and really put on a show

I am looking forward to the final shows this year more than any other year. I hope Adam chooses Mad World as his choice for a song he has already done.

It's great to read how well Adam and Kris get along. People can learn a lot from that. It's funny to hear them compared to the presidential election. I voted for McCain and am a Republican, but I absolutely love Adam. I like Kris too, and might have voted for him if Adam wasn't there.

Carlos Santana is awesome. I can't wait for tonight's performances. Two very talented young men and it sounds like lots of suprises.

I have got to respectfully disagree with you. Adam is an actor who happens to be able to sing(very well). He is NOT a musician, he can't arrange songs and most likely he can't write..

Besides, I don't know but I would bet Adam's real love is acting. Whereas Kris it looks like Music is the thing. He just wants to sing a good song and please but not put on a show.

Actually, Adam is a musician who HAPPENS to be a great actor as well. He has said many times that he did the acting "thing" to pay the bills. He is definitely more interested in music. As far as arranging songs, he has done that more than anyone else this season.

What do I like about Kris....everything. I like that he came from nowhere and slowly but steadily has won me over with his easy going mannerisms. I love his voice..it is easy to listen to. I like the songs he has chosen to sing, it is the type of music that I listen on a daily basis. I like that he doesn't pull out all kinds of bells and whistles but just sings so I can actually enjoy the performance. ......is that enough? No? I like that he is out there and looks like he is totally enjoying himself and having fun, that as much as he wants to win he doesn't look like he has studied his moves,mannerisms and or reactions so that everything is perfection...he just looks like a kid that is having the "time of his life", much like DC last year...you just knew that he was having a blast through the whole thing. What others find as "boring" I find as pleasant...I do not like overblown theatrics on stage....just give me someone who can hold my attention by standing there and singing. And with that I need to head off to work.

I'm sorry that you saw my post at taking a dig at Kris supporters. That was not my intent. I support both Adam and Kris. I really did not want this thread to go back to people posting over and over with how badly they think someone performs. I even said that I think that it is OK to state that but it is counterproductive to repeat it several times in every post. I was addressing how ineffective it is to just focus on the negative and to stay there. If it bothers you to see someone posting about how much they like Adam and why they are voting for him, the right counter is to tell us instead how much you like Kris and why you are voting for him.
My mama always told me that "if you can't say anything nice about someone, it is best to say nothing at all". It is hard to do that and many times I fail, but it is still good advice. From my previous posts, it is obvious who I supported last year but I tried to never come here and (gasp) say anything bad about DC or DA. I knew they both had fans here and it would just have been rude to do that over and over.

This post has been long enough. I could and probably will have thoughts about tonights performances. I anticipate that I will have good things to say about both Adam and Kris. I will wait to after hearing them to post that.

First bold---The only posting about how bad someone performs came in when posters said-- They like Adam but hate when he "rock wails"

Second bold---It hasn't bothered the fans of the other contestants when the Adam supporters post how much they like him,noone has tried to "counter" that from what I've read---What I have read is from the Adam supporters telling us why we don't like him ((even though NAS have said repeatedly they think he can sing))

And FTR it does not bother me that people talk about how much they love Adam. Not at all. What DOES bother me is posts that dig that those that **don't**. (comments like we just don't "understand"). If you don't remember Taylor Hicks had a MONSTROUS fan following, known as the Soul Patrol! I should know I was one of them!!
He had over a million posts on his board, more than double number 2 and 3 of that year, AND Vote for the Worst! The problem was his appeal very shortly faded due to the animosity between him and the producers. He truly lost his edge and his fight. I got turned off shortly afterwards myself and the SP fell apart like they never existed.

I've been waiting for this myself.

Last year there were so many LOVE posts about David Cook, a few against David A but nothing compared to the LOVEFEST going on for Cook. This year where is the lovefest for Kris? I don't feel any passion except against his opponent.

Like in any voting contest, you cannot vote against a person. You only vote for the person you really want to win. This is not Survivor. I'd love to hear the passion FOR a contestant rather than against. That has surprisingly been missing.

It doesn't matter whether I am a fan of Kris or whether I cannot stand the sound of Kris. My post was in response to the attitude of those posters who maintain that anyone who does not see that Adam is "clearly" the superior contestant with his amazing vocal skills and a voice that is pretty much a gift from God, must be tone deaf or next to an imbecile. Posters have made it clear throughout this competition that there are many reasons they did not like Adam's voice and/or performance style.

He is not "clearly" anything. And people who do not "see" that he is the best and that Kris (or whomever had wound up in the finals) is a distant second are not wrong or ignorant of music. They simply have a different opinion from Adam's fans or perhaps like a different style of singing and/or performing. If Danny or just about anyone had wound up in the finals, the comments would have been the same.

It isn't about me being a Kris fan. I think he's fine, but he doesn't rock my world. My post was in response to the condescending attitude that anyone who does not share the opinion that Adam is the best thing since sliced bread doesn't know what they are talking about. It's MUSIC. If everyone liked the same kind of music, we'd hear the same song on the radio, on every station, 24/7. There would be only one song to download, because we'd all love it and need nothing else. Different people have different tastes and some tastes do not lean Adam's way. That does not make people ignorant.

Kris has a fanbase somewhere, but it's not sitting at this keyboard. Sometimes I do really like what he does, other times I think it's just okay. I don't remember ever saying, "Dear lord, that was hideous. What was he thinking?" Since I have frequently made this face at Adam's performances, odds are that this week my vote will go to Kris. Now if Lil had been going against Adam, all bets would have been off.
