American Idol Top 4 Idol Chatter and Idle Chatter

 I agree! It makes me laugh most of the time but I can only imagine when the contestants are thinking when they're up there singing their hearts out and the judges are drawing on each other's faces

My parents and brother got into a bad car accident earlier tonight, two minutes after they dropped me off at home. Someone ran a stop sign and plowed into the side of the car. The car's completely wrecked (they couldn't move it, it had to be towed) but THANK GOD my parents and brother are OK. They're at the hospital getting checked out and my dad hurt his shoulder and my mom and brother had minor burns, but they're all alright. My family came over for a while to sit with me, but they left recently and I decided to log on to pass some time. t made me realize that I'm no longer going to argue over a reality show  Life's too short to get caught up in the drama of something as fun as AI. So to anyone I offended, I apologize. I 100% didn't mean any of it personally and I hope the thread can get back to being fun for the finale. Kumbaya, my lord...

I'm a huge, huge Adam fan, but I like them both and wouldn't even care who won. All I know is that both finalists will be on the Today Show on May 28th, and my dad happens to work for the show so I'm ridiculously psyched to see them both perform next week and hopefully get to take a pic with them!

Glad your family is OK, that must have been scary.:grouphug:

Life sure does have a way of reminding us what is important.

I thought Kris won the toss and chose for Adam to sing first. :confused3

Oh I didn't know that! I remember that happened last year too. David Cook did go first last year, but Simon said he was awful. But the fans did show Simon who was boss!

That is good! Now Kris at least has a shot!

OH So glad your parents and brother are doing OK. It must have been so scary for you and them. Yes, Yes, Yes this is fun to talk about, but not important in the least! I also apologize to anyone offended! Just enjoy the respectful bantering. Either one of the Idols will be a great Idol! We are blessed to live in a country where we can still vote! So to Adam and Kris...... Good luck and God Bless!

So glad your family is OK! :grouphug:

I'm glad that your family is OK. I don't think that you need to apolgize for anything. I am appreciative that you have been a voice of reason on this thread. I think that you have stated what many of us think needed to be said. In the end AI is just a show and I think Tuesday will have good performances all the way around.

I also agree with all of those posters who complained about the judges. You would think that with all that they are paid, that they could sit there for one hour, pay attention and give constructive criticism. And as far as Paula caring more about the contestants. I can't let that one pass without bringing up her horrible treatment of Jason Castro last year. Jason fans are still waiting on her apology. She never offered one, just poor and contradictory excuses.

I also wonder if Kris benefits from having Jason on the show last year. They are not the same but come from that same acoustic singer/songwriter vibe. Jason is doing fine with his Atlantic Records signing but I thought he definitely should have gone further last year. Maybe Kris is their way of payback. When I am spending time on my grassy knowl, I think that it takes AI a year ahead of time to plan for who they want to win.

My local paper has Idol Bingo for Tuesday and Wednesday night. The paper has a full page layout with a BINGO card on it and it says "Interactive Idol" and basically you are supposed to mark off the events as they occur and see if you get bingo or can fill the card. It's not a contest or anything, just a fun thing.

It was actually cracking me up because I can see most of it happening.

So under B we have

1. Someone is "pitchy"
2. Randy says "dawg"
3. upcoming movie is referenced
4. Paula dances
5. Kara and Paula hug
....

LOL! It reminds me of a college drinking game!

So glad to hear your family is alright. What a scary thing!

Absolutely agree with the love hate thing about Adam. You simply cannot be in the middle of the road of a person like that. You either love or hate Barbra, Britney, Elvis, Whitney, Axel, Celine or Prince. But you WILL remember them.

Ummm I would be in the middle of the road....Elvis...at times I actually like listening to him...other times YUCK...Barbara...amazing voice but if she isn't in a movie singing...don't care to listen...but love her in movies and singing..Axel...again can and can't listen, same with all the others. Even Brittany I do like some of her songs very much. But don't like her! Adam....I can't say I am or am not a fan...very unsure. I think he is an amazing talent. Some songs I really liked. Some not so much....So yes people can be in the middle of the road.
I really like Kris. I will say I didn't think he would get this far or even make it in the top 10 but as he has gone on each week I actually like him more and more and can say he would be an album I would buy. I can't say that about Danny or Adam. I am very unsure what type of music they would produce....So How do I fit in? I am truly a song by song type of listener. I don't have to like all that is put out. I love the Lady Gaga song Poker face...and that certainly doesnt blend with my ipod songs! LOL!
The show would be boring but if you truly want it to be strictly on talent then they need to sing behind a screen and we never see them. Then you judge by what you hear. Music in this day and age is an entire package. The way they look, move, sing, talk, dance etc....

...which is why I will NOT be watching the finals for AI...it's like :confused3 "who cares?", "...whatever...", since Danny is gone, I guess I'll just be doing my hair that night....:sad1:

I agree! I like the idea of not seeing them and just listening. Can we do that with the judges too!!

troobabie, WOW...how frightening! Happy to hear everyone is ok for the most part. As far as Idol, Don't sweat the small stuff, right? I love watching it for mindless entertainment. I mean, without it I would never have enjoyed seeing any of these contestants as far as I know. Gina Glockson used to live in my town and before Idol...:confused3 so it's a win/win...anyone who watches wins the evening if being entertained by singers they may not have ever had the chance to experience. And if they are not interested, hit the little button on the clicker that says "power".;)

BTW, did you catch him on iCarly last Sunday? He did a brief, at the end, appearance and "bowed out of singing for their 'website'" by "claiming a sore throat"... :lmao:

I didn't watch it last Sunday but I saw it when it came on in February. He was on Hannah Montana a few weeks ago too.

..., since Danny is gone, I guess I'll just be doing my hair that night....:sad1:

Same here. I'll just watch taped shows of AI, eat my Danny cookies, and be in complete denial this week. :rotfl2::rotfl2:
Do we love this guy here in WI or what????

Color me confused. Kris will have a shot depending on whether or not he knocks it outta the park tomorrow night, NOT based on who sings first or second. If Kris sang first and nailed it and Adam did another "Cryin'", Kris would be GOLDEN. And vice versa.

Ultimately it's simply who is best.

Do any of you use Twitter? Might be fun to sign up just to get "tweets" from the Idols during these last few days. I follow Ryan Seacrest (which is fun) and just added Danny Gokey and Anoop. There are a bunch of others who are Twittering, but I haven't followed them because I'm not so interested. Maybe I'll add, though, just to get an insider perspective of what's going on this week.

Danny's leaving notes about "Dream On" right now...he's a cutie.

I just heard Keith Urban is performing on the finale (Wednesday). WOO!! I am a HUGE fan of his. Supposedly, he's doing a duet w/ Kris.

Thanks for all the well wishes! My family's doing OK - shaken up and stressed out from all the insurance issues, but OK! The guy driving just plowed right through the stop sign  What a mess! But thanks again, I appreciate it :goodvibes:

Does anyone know who the duets for the finale or with yet?
