American Idol Top 4 Idol Chatter and Idle Chatter

I knew as soon as Kris was safe Allison was in trouble.

Danny should have gone last night. He was horrible, down right dreadful as Simon would say.

Can't believe he can sing a song like Dream On and BUTCHER it to pieces and still be safe. :confused3 Poor Michael Johns did it 100% better and he got the boot.

I was hoping for a Adam and Allison finale, now I want Danny to get the boot next week.
I just hope Adam becomes the winner, he is the only one left that has true talent.

I really just agree with everything you said!

I thought Allison was amazing last night. I hope she will have as much success as Daughtry has.

Danny has had a BIG following since the beginning and if votes COUNT ( ) he'll make it to the final but AI will not allow him to win the year after David Cook, too similar.
Girl, thems fightin' words! Similar to David Cook()?!?!?!?

J/K I know what you mean. Similar, but not in the same league. ;)

I still like Danny a lot, and I love Adam - but nobody this season has pulled me in like DC did and still does.

Slash's twitter today says she left way too early. She made a big impression on him!

"Alison didn't deserve to be voted off AI so soon, she has amazing potential" That should give her some nice confidence.

I never got to do my play by play on rock night but I did want to toss in that Adam doing Zeppelin was such a natural fit. It was pitch perfect and fit him like a glove (a shiny, bedazzled glove). The song is sung in a scream to begin with so no complaints from the anti-screamers I would imagine.

Adam IS the next American Idol.

I cringed when Danny hit that one note (ir rather DIDN'T hit the note). A valiant effort, but beyond risky to try the same song that sent Michael Johns home with a much better rendition.

So what do you think they should sing next week?

It will be interesting to see what the judges pick. I imagine they will pick something like Mad World for Adam, something Jason Mraz-like for Kris, and something mid-tempo mid-range for Danny.

I'd like to see Adam do something completely opposite to what the judges pick for his own pick. One haunting and one wild. Someone posted that he should do "Dream On". lol

I thought Allison was nice enough, but she bored me. Every single week, it was SOS. Growly, throaty-voiced raspy rocker chick sings whatever. She butchered "Someone to Watch Over Me." Or rather, Someone to Hhhhhhhhutch Over Me. Her inability to enunciate the first consonant of many words drove me nuts. Or hhhhhhhuts. :rotfl2:
I think she kept doing it because when she'd gear up for a big old blast of a note and belt it out, the burst of air would keep her from actually being able to form the first consonant. So she'd "hhhhhhhh" at the beginning of lots of words. :headache:

The rocker chicks on AI only go so far and every single time, it seems to be because of lack of versatility. They may have talent, but are a niche talent. But heaven knows Allison was tons better than Lil. :thumbsup2

As for Adam, I still can't warm up to him. Aside from the screeeeeeeeeeching, every performance is sooooo affected. So completely UNspontaneous. Even his "casual" moves are rehearsed a million times. You could watch him do the same song 10 nights in a row and it would be as if you were hitting the replay button. I still think "BROADWAY!" every time he comes onstage. I know Liza Minelli says she never gave birth, but I think she is sadly mistaken. Adam is undoubtedly her long lost child. :lmao: Fathered by Ethel Merman.

FYI: For Adam fans -- he is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.

To each his own, I guess... :woohoo:

I could think of LOTS of worse parents than Ethel and Liza! :thumbsup2 And to say that Adam does the same thing over and over is just pure ridiculous. He is the most versatile of all the contestants and makes AI an experience rather than a karaoke show.

Kris bores me, he reminds me of a guy who sings to his girlfriend at a coffee shop. His mouth moves make me as sick as Adam's screech bothers you. I'd rather think BROADWAY than ZZZZZZzzzzzzz

BTW, what the heck is wrong with Broadway?? Is this a BAD thing???? Lots of AI grads end up on Bway and guess what, it's NOT an easy thing to do. I studied theatre in NY and it was the equivalent to an Academy Award in the city.

Adam will probably win, and that will be the last we'll hear of him--until his first (of many) Broadway openings. He's a very talented singer/dancer/actor, and that's his genre. (Emphasis on the ACTING...most universities with a musical theatre program have an Adam-esque student every few years.)

Me? I tend to smile a little when he performs. I swear he's Elvis's reincarnation.

Adam deserves the cover. In addition to his great voice, he is the most unique, entertaining person ever on AI.

Speaking of AI and Broadway, Constantine Maroulis was just nominated for a Tony for his role in "Rock of Ages".......

I'm happy that Allison is gone. :cool1::cool1::cool1: I was really sure Kris was going last night so I'm thrilled he still there. I would love to have a Danny and Kris as fine two. I'm sorry Adam is two broadway for me. This show is about music not theatre.
